History

Established in 1987.

La Prima Catering began as a retail organization in Washington, D.C. over 25 years ago. Since then, we have made great strides in the world of catering, becoming one of the largest corporate and full service caterers along the East Coast.

Certified by the Green Restaurant Association, we are the highest rated green caterer on the East Coast. As such, we believe that it is important to utilize sustainable business practices and eco-​friendly services in order to provide fresh, healthy foods for all occasions. Our sustainability initiatives have been featured in articles in Catering Magazine, The Washington Post and Washingtonian Bride & Groom Magazine.
