Hilton Columbus at Easton

I stayed for a week at this hotel for business and had no complaints. From front desk to the housekeeping staff everyone was friendly, accommodating and provided top notch service. The room was large and I did not feel cramped as I have in other hotels.
My only suggestion is that the quick service coffee area that is serving Starbucks coffee adjust their prices to come in line with the chain operated Starbucks which is a minute walk away. I was a little shocked when the employee told me how much I owed for a cup of coffee when I would have walked to the Town Center Starbucks.

Absolutely Perfect Service Makes for a Great Stay!
We stayed here along with approx 30 other family members for a family event nearby. The first impression was how excellent the service was that we received from the staff. It started with the valet parking attendant, and continued with the front desk staff, the maids, the servers in the restaurant, even the bartender in their sports bar! Everyone was very polite and very good at their jobs. It makes such a difference, and lead to a really wonderful stay. I would absolutely go back here when the chance arises. The room was very modern and clean.

Not a great day for our lunch fourtop. Most everything was out of synch. We waited to be seated. We waited to be greeted at the table. And we waited for our food.
It didn’t seem to be particularly busy on a Monday at 130.
Once we got the food all was well.
My guess, a bad day at a place that is usually very serviceable.

I sent my family there to Christmas shop using my rewards points. Even though I had already checked them in, they were forced to wait until 6 pm to get in their rooms. This caused the cancellation of activities they had planned that evening. The hotel staff was rude and when I contacted them with my concerns (hoping no one else would have to go through that) they would not return email or phone calls. Shame on you! All you had to do was talk to me. I’m a long time Hilton user, but I will not use this establishment again.

Literally just the breakfast buffet with my husband. The food was not hot or warm at all. I was so disappointed that we spent $ 60.00 for garbage! We live here I Columbus and I heard great things and wanted to give it try. The biggest waste ever!

We had dinner at the Hilton Friday night, which has their seafood buffet and sushi bar. We have eaten there several times, but this time was bad. If I could give them negative stars I would. Raw Oysters were warm so I had one and stopped. Their crab legs had been in the pan for so long they were dry, almost the same texture as the shell. So I thought we would try something else, there was something like a seafood stew, but it was just basically tomato juice, there was some kind of chicken curry and salmon, but couldn’t get past the dried out chicken and salmon covered in sauce. Yuck. There was suppose to be rice pilaf, but it was just plain white rice. Desserts had been picked through and didn’t look very appetizing. Sushi was OK, but you need to make sure you don’t eat if it’s warm. We didn’t feel very well that night. Sunday we decided to try the brunch they do have a nice omelet station, sausage and bacon were good but after seeing the same chicken curry and same seafood stew. I stopped eating and we left. I would think for the price they charge, they should be able to afford to put fresh items on the buffet. Will not be going back. The hotel is nice but don’t eat at the restaurant.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Speaking of thanksgiving did you all know that the Hilton does a wonderful buffet for this special day that we give thanks? It is just phenomenal.
I was with a private party and if anyone saw my check in it was roughly 50 to 60 ish people in the family. We started off at the Sports Bar where everyone had a cocktail hour and got to mingle/​take photos/​etc. It was there I learned that Bloody Mary’s are not my drink because man was that drink overly spicy. I had to trade it in for a dirty Shirley Temple and that was so much better!
After the cocktail hour, we proceeded to the main room where our big party sat down to give thanks. Then we went out to the buffet area where they had your choice of carved beef, carved turkey, pigs in a blanket (their version of ham with bacon on top). There was a salad bad, a seafood bar, a dessert bar. So many options, I definitely had to pace myself!
The turkey was so moist you could taste the juices. The steamed vegetables, mashed potatoes, sweet potato au gratin were all wonderful. My husband even said the brussel sprouts tasted better here than at the Hilton Polaris. They were fully cooked to perfection, while still having the full flavor.
We then got tempted by the dessert table. They had cupcakes, pecan pie, strawberry shortcake, gluten free chocolate cake with whipped topping. Out of them all I really liked the strawberry shortcake. I didn’t eat them all, but what I heard was that the strawberry shortcake tasted better out of them all due to the berries soaking into the shortcake.
In between eating, our private party got to meet the chef who was in charge of the entire buffet at the Hilton today. I would have to say he did a phenomenal job, because his food was way better than the Hilton in Polaris. Having the right chef in charge of all the food makes a world of a difference in how the food will turn out for a huge event for one day. I know this from experience.
I would highly recommend to anyone who is looking at places to eat for Thanksgiving to definitely make a reservation here. It’s definitely worth the money.

Four of us went to the Hilton specifically to have a three course meal special they offer. There were three choices for the main course, two weren’t available. The waiter said «people won’t eat them and the chef won’t serve them.» We were offered a substitute of beef ribs for the pork ribs which was very good with mashed potatoes. I it came with salad and all of our salads were not fresh. It came with desert «cobbler» non of us were happy with it. It was cooked fruit in a dish that’s it. My brother had a beir and cheese soup I tasted it and wasn’t good, he was very sick later that day. I vas very disappointed in what I expect from Hilton and paying over $ 30 for a meal. No wonder their was only one other party besides us at 6:00pm.

Decent stay. Close and convenient to the airport. Staff was friendly at check-​in.
Room was nice, however housekeeping missed a few things. Old coffee filter from previous guest still in coffee pot. Yuck!
Room service was fast but I would not recommend the chicken soup. It had more grease than broth. Double Yuck!

Years ago I had stayed at this hotel for a convention so I was looking forward to coming back since I did not get the opportunity to explore Easton Towne Center during that visit.
This hotel is currently under renovations but it has a lot going for it. First of all is it has a self parking garage (if you are willing to walk a bit) to protect your car from the elements. They do offer valet parking but with this feature you really don’t need it. Also the hotel has entered the technical age. Being a member of Hilton honors I was able to «choose» my room from my phone. The Hilton honors app would let me know when my room was ready for check in. When I arrived I was prepared to give them my credit card and inquired if an upgrade I had requested was available. I was told there wasn’t one and that the concierge level was undergoing renovations until the middle of next year. They told me that my phone would work as a digital «key» since I had Bluetooth and if I experienced any problems to let them know.
As I heading to get my car I ran into two maintenance personnel who gave me advice as to where to park and how they could make my stay more enjoyable. All I really needed were a few towels. So when I moved my car and entered the room I found a card from those same people offering me a free buffet breakfast! I was literally blown away! Also this digital key really does work! My room is renovated and consists of a glass shower stall (no tub) in the bathroom but there was plenty of room. There’s an in room safe and small refrigerator with a card that told me that the two bottles of water inside were mine to use.
As a Hilton honors member I got free WiFi in the room. I was happy too that I got a room facing away from the Towne Center since I wanted a good night’s sleep. When I got up I went to the buffet. It is your typical breakfast buffet with both cold and hot breakfast foods and made to order omelets. They even had a multigrain oatmeal which I loved. This buffet normally runs for about $ 26.00 so with the cold weather I was glad I didn’t have to go out and find a discount place just to get an affordable breakfast.
When I went to check out I was told they would e-​mail me the bill. Remember how dreadful it is finding it slid under your door the day you leave? The main thing is to make sure you stop at the front desk in order to check out because if you are using this process, then there is no way they can tell you have left the hotel. I asked for a printed copy of my statement for record purposes only just to play it safe.
It was worth staying onsite and being able to enjoy the evening activities that Easton Towne Center has to offer.

I couldn’t believe the experience I had at this hotel… a Hilton no-​less! I travel about once a month for business, and can honestly say I haven’t had a worse experience at a hotel. Now I must admit — MY bad was not saying anything, but by the time I had a break from the conference to do so, I felt it wasn’t worth it.
–The room–
Immediately upon walking in, I thought my room hadn’t been properly cleaned. There was lint and part of a clothes tag on the ground, the pillows were disheveled, washclothes were folded sloppily, and the shampoo bottle was half empty. I also never got comfortable: I had the air turned down to 56 degrees (!!!) and it was still balmy. My co-​workers had the same heat/​discomfort experience. Much to my dismay, on the second day (after the room had been «cleaned») all of the same problems were present — stuff still on the floor, sloppy folding and disheveled pillows, and another half empty shampoo bottle. I couldn’t believe it.
–The service–
Front Desk Staff — I didn’t have much interaction with the staff, but what I did have made me feel half informed. Upon arrival, I asked the front desk staff about a taxi back to the airport. I was told that there was a shuttle — free of service — so I was happy to use this instead. Upon check-​out, I walked downstairs at 7:15am only to be told that the shuttle left in every half hour increments — not what I had been told previously. I didn’t have 15 minutes to spare (and if I had, I would used it to sleep some more!), so I begrudgingly paid for a cab.
Bartender — After the first day at the conference, there was a Happy Hour. I always attempt to get a «drink» that only resembles alcohol, so I asked for a virgin bloody mary (very quietly). The bartender all but yelled back at me «virgin?!» and then proceeded to pour tomato juice in a glass and hand it to me. I said, «…Do you have anything to add to it? A lime, lemon, olives???» I got a horrible glare, and one small excuse for a lemon plopped in my drink. I don’t know at what bar plain tomato juice passes for a «bloody mary» but remind me never to visit it.
Server — In addition to drinks, appetizers were being passed. I always ask — if the server doesn’t tell me — what the option is. At one point, a server carrying a plate of what looked like small baguettes with a soft white cheese dip walked over, and stood in front of us. «What is this?» I asked… to which the server replied…“Cheese.” «Cheese?» I questioned… surely there was more to that… nope. She stared at me while I hesitantly tried the unappetizing «cheese» thing.
Room Service — Lastly, I have to mention this conundrum. We had a very early dinner, so I was starving come 9:30pm. I perused the menu, but none of the greasy options appealed to me. I found the easiest breakfast item I could — a fruit and yogurt parfait. Granola, yogurt, fruit — DONE. I dialed the button on my phone three times, but it kept hanging up on me. So I called the front desk… got transferred… and five minutes later, was told that the Chef changes, and «the night Chef doesn’t know the recipe». Recipe?! I get it, this is the least of my concerns, as I was ordering off the wrong menu — but give me a break… this shouldn’t be hard.
To spend $ 440 for two nights (a discounted rate, mind you!) for this location is disgusting. The lack of service, attention to their patrons and the rooms, is unacceptable.

My new favorite!!! I will never stay anywhere else. The property and facilities are amazing! Close to shopping and restaurants, although the onsite sports bar is reasonably priced the staff is friendly and helpful.

Great seafood for the cost. sushi was great, but needed servers to clean up more frequently. Had to remind them

A long time Buckeye, previous Columbus resident, and fan of Easton Town Center ever since it’s construction, I’ve consistently been disappointed in the Hilton there. We’ve stayed there several times since it’s construction and just recently (July 2015) to visit Columbus for a wedding.
The good: Close to Easton Town Center, one of the premier places in Columbus for shopping, food, and drinks. Excellent parking and close to the airport for travelers. Relatively clean and spacious lobby. Nice workout facility and pool.
The bad: The internet access and speeds are horrific, usually trying to upsell customers to «premium internet», which if purchased does not guarantee any increase in speed or availability’ WiFi was consistently dropping on both routers. The redesigned bathrooms are broken, the shower doors don’t seal on the bottom, resulting in a flood every time you shower it’s as if they constructed the showers backward. Atrociously dated and slow TV/​Cable package.
I suppose in the end most of the blame rides on Hilton in general as a chain and their contracts with vendors; their antiquated internet access, entertainment, and bottom-​dollar renovations will definitely lead us to trying out nearby competitors in the future. Bottom line, get with the times Hilton, you’re falling behind.

After weeks of useless phone calls and emails re the hotel GM’s public comment about the desire to «make it right», the Hilton management concluded that their staff did nothing wrong and that I did, in fact, cancel my own reservation and Simply Don’t Remember Doing So.
Certainly, there are less irritating and inconvenient reasons to order a new credit card.

UGH.
My husband and I were here for an event not too long ago. Yes, we paid for it. And the food was awful. It’s a nice location, being close to the mall and all, but I will never ever eat here again. Even if it’s free.
That being said, my husband thought the food was good. Which was weird. He never likes that kind of food. We were served salads first — mine was covered in nuts, and I have a nut allergy. Which they were informed of. Maybe the message didn’t get to where it needed to go. But no biggie — I flagged down a server and asked them if they had anything available that was nut free. He was very kind about it and brought back a plate with a tasty looking salad on it. I was two-​thirds through the salad when there was a BIG HUGE PINE NUT sitting there on my plate. Staring at me.
I stopped eating the salad.
So then the entrée course came around — and a rather nutty looking breaded chicken came around. We asked — yes, it contained nuts. So they whisked it away and brought me back two very dry pieces of chicken breast…
My husband said his nutty chicken was very tasty. And moist.

Stay away from the bar!
Just charged $ 48 for 2 drinks!!!
Complained to management — got us a response «those are our prices».
Insane. I feel bad for out-​of-​towners visiting Columbus & having that little surprise. Not cool Hilton — not cool.

I have only been here for conferences but its a very nice hotel and they always handle it very well.
Its a very beautiful building and very clean. The food that has been provided by the hotel has always been great. The staff is always friendly and helpful and seem to be on top of any problems that may arise.
I also appreciate the free, easy parking thats right in front.
I’ve never stayed here or tried their restaurant (just their catering) so I am not commenting on either of those. If you were to stay here, you would be right next to Easton mall which is awesome with plenty of dining options for all taste buds and budgets.

I come here once or twice a month for the Prime Rib Seafood Buffet. You won’t find anything better for $ 30! My first plate is always loaded with sashimi. Not only is their sashimi very very fresh, each cut is thick, unlike other «sushi buffet» places. By the time I’ve eaten two places of their sashimi, I’m pretty sure I’ve already eaten over $ 30 worth of food. Next, I will go get a couple slices of their prime rib, and other dishes. They also have pots of other food, like seared salmon, gumbo, and others for you to choose from. On the other side there are crab legs and clams, which are all super fresh.
There is also an option for you to choose your own veggies and meat and have someone cook it all for you. I got this once, but it was way too much food, I didn’t have any room left for anything else.
In the middle of it all is a dessert bar. Their desserts are delicious! The chocolate is always thick and creamy. The perfect ending to an awesome dining experience.
