Where’s the meat? I think there was one slice of roast beef on my sandwich. Bread was good, but subs don’t live on bread alone. Cool ambiance and quick service.

Substandard food and doesn’t take care of its riders. I can’t support this business anymore.

Unfortunately, this was the worst jimmy johns sandwich I’ve ever had. I’m a college student, we love jimmy johns. Whether it’s late at night or for lunch, I’ve always enjoyed jimmy johns for a quick bite to eat. This location was different though. I always get the veggie on wheat. My sandwich was smothered in mayo(I love mayo, but not that much!), with very little tomato and onion. The little amount of lettuce that was on it was brown. I know I’m not at a 5 star place, but I would’ve expected a better quality sandwich.

Super fast takeout and delicious subs, doesn’t get any better than this!(Well, it would get better if they had a private parking lot, but willing to forgive them due to the front/broad st location). Usually has lines out the door at lunchtime, but it goes fast, really fast.

I have only had one bad experience in this franchise… But I love this food. And the team members are always very hip, courteous, helpful and sweet. Way to go!

It’s a decent enough sandwich place to satisfy your hunger in a hurry. The quality of meats is not fantastic but the bread is fantastic and filling. The staff was very accommodating and they got me my tuna foot long sub quickly. I’d stop by again … Especially since they’re located right next door to the Doubletree hotel where I’m Staying

I work weekends in the area and this is the only thing ever open! The staff is awesome and move quickly. My only complaint is that this location does vegetarian subs using lettuce instead of alfalfa sprouts! Maybe jimmy johns changed their menu and I didn’t realize, but either way… Ick!

I guess you could say it’s good if you like lettuce sandwiches. Had to call because my order had no cheese on it. They took the old sandwich back to make sure I wasn’t lying about it. Seriously? Won’t order again.

I always have to compare other sub places to subway. I know that’s terrible of me, but it is what it is. Here’s the run down: I’m not too impressed with their hours. About half the time I’ve come over to this Jimmy Johns they’ve been closed. The customer service has always been spot on. Good explanation and walk through of the different options on the menu and what would work with each sub. The prices are higher than subway, which combined with getting smaller portions both in length and circumference of the sub would make you more inclined to choose subway, however, the ingredients are much better and it’s prepared with more love and expertise. Especially if you’re comparing it to the subway on high and state. Overall, a good establishment and good food. I’ll definitely return more — I just need to get their hours down straight!

Since my April 2012 review, all of my concerns have been alleviated. Kudos to the management and staff for the positive turnaround. I am now a happy, regular customer of this Jimmy John’s.

The #6 veggie on 7-grain bread is the best sandwich ever. My husband loves it too, and he is a meat-eater. I walk several blocks from my work location to this JJ’s location to get carry-out or sometimes dine-in. Love.

I wish I could give 3.5 stars, but I really am a fan of sticking a giant JJ sub in my face, so I’ll round up. I mean, c’mon. It’s a sub shop. JJ is my default for when I don’t know what to get for lunch, or when I don’t want to leave my office at all(delivery!). Every time I finish a sandwich, I wish I had more. One of the nicest features of the downtown location is that you can take your sammich across the street to the beautiful courtyard spaces near the Supreme Court. You’ll probably need to, because there’s not much room at all in the actual store. If you were sitting at a table, you’d probably just be looking at the butts of everyone waiting to order and receive their order. Which could be good or bad, depending on who you are, I guess. The delivery is, indeed, crazy fast. I appreciate that they use bikes. I guess downtown you’d have to, but still. Yay, bikes! I second Brad S.‘s desire for being able to place a tip with the online ordering system. One time I couldn’t tip at all(just could not scrounge up any cash to save my life). I felt so guilty about it that I’ve over-tipped ever since. Since delivery is so fast, you won’t have a lot of time to drum up small bills(or any bills, if you’re me). On a recent kick to reduce refined carbs from my dietary intake, I ordered JJ’s «Unwich.» It’s all the meats and fillings of any sandwich wrapped in lettuce. We were getting boxed lunches for a conference at work. I missed the bread for sure(and there are no salads on the menu). JJ’s bread is sooo good. I think I cried a little. But, the unwhich wasn’t bad either, considering. The ingredients still tasted fresh. That mayo is tasty. Probably not healthy either, but I’m not perfect. The boxed lunch still came with chips and a cookie(which I declined to consume … unfortunately). All things considered, the Unwhich is a decent option in a pinch. I would order one again, if I needed something delivered quickly while I worked on a deadline.

This location has consistently good quality food and fast service. The staff are brusque, but not in an unfriendly or unpleasant way. The restaurant is crowded — I wouldn’t recommend dining in, unless you like eating next to a long line of people. The delivery service is hit-or-miss. I dislike that you can’t place a tip on their online ordering system, but I do like the low delivery charge and the fact that there is no minimum order size. Bottom line: this is a reliable and tasty downtown sandwich option, best used to pick up and take away.
