Eh, what can I say, it’s typical American food. The wings are yummy, the caesar salad is pretty good, the chicken fajita quesadilla is delicious and some of the burgers are good. Do not try to be adventurous and get any of the burgers that aren’t your standard lettuce, tomato, pickles, cheese, mayo etc. because it will suck. The fries aren’t that great either — almost always cold and you’ll have to ask your server to bring you a new batch, and they will, but not without an attitude first. They do have a self serve, all you can eat ice cream bar for $ 3.49. It’s not bad, but there’s only vanilla ice cream and the topping choices are limited and… boring.

So, line up outside the door, but plenty of clean and empty tables inside. Waltz up to the hostess to be ignored… Charming. Told 15 minute wait, sure thing, we’ll head to a store nearby for a look and come back shortly. Again, empty tables everywhere, but still a line up out the front. Ordered food, said food was delivered to the table. Wait staff only barely able to muster up enough ‘customer service’ to scrape by… I made the mistake of ordering the shrimp… Spent the rest of my Saturday in the bathroom throwing my insides up. Pleasant. Needless to say I will never be back, as I’ve since heard other horror stories from other patrons at various other Max & Erma’s. Lift your game. I don’t like having a New Years long weekend destroyed by a third rate meal and then the after effects of what can only come down to poor kitchen practices. I should probably report this establishment to the appropriate authorities.

The food was cold and service took in total about 45mins(20min wait time, 5min before waitresses, 5min before drinks were served, and 15min before food, which was room temperature) BTW, the restaurant had not been crowded.

Key points: — Restaurant doesn’t go out it’s way to make your visit a good one — Unnecessarily long waits between visits from the server — Poor food presentation — Decent views from the seating(watched college football Saturday with a clear view) — People were friendly enough(they seemed happy I was there, but actions…) The full story: Was hungry but short on funds, so I turned on my Moto and looked for any specials taking place while I was at Easton. Saw that M&E’s had a really good happy hour special(chicken fingers, quesadillas, and extreme nachos), so I walked the 100 feet or so and headed in. Unfortunately for me, it was now 6:08 pm, so no happy hour specials for me. Would now have to pay full price. Dang. That’s on me though. Unfamiliar with the menu(hadn’t been in a long time), and not expecting to order outside the happy hour specials, I told the lady bartender who visited me that I would need some time to peruse the menu. Three minutes later, she was back and I told her that I still wasn’t ready, which she acknowledged. Another three or four minutes pass and I have decided what I will get. I put the menu down and gaze over in the direction of the two bartenders. Ten minutes later, the male bartender came over and took my order(they weren’t that busy). I order the tortilla burger with fries. Medium cook. Over the next 40 minutes, I would watch at least two different parties come in, order, and receive their food while I waited patiently. Admittedly, they were seated at the bar where it was easier for the bartenders to interact with them. Still, I was starting to get slightly annoyed. Once I received my food, I was pretty disappointed with the plate arrangement. A tortilla soup comes with the burger for dipping, but the burger is pretty tall and not possible to dip with your hands unless you removed some toppings. Disappointingly, the plate was oblong in shape and it wasn’t possible to cut the burger piecemeal and then dip into the soup because the fries were in the way. So, I had to eat all the fries before I could start on the burger. Anyway, no big deal, but, again, slightly annoying. When I was finally finished, had cleaned my plate, and was ready to leave, I had to wait for the bartenders to come over with the check. Another ten minutes pass. More annoyance. When the male comes over, I just hand my cash over — don’t want to wait another ten minutes for either of them to come collect my payment. I left a 15% tip. Paltry in my opinion, but deserved. Won’t be considering Max & Erma’s first when I eat again at Easton.

I have been to many restaurants and this was one of the worst experiences I have ever had. Would not recommend it to anyone. I had never been to Max and Erma’s before and decided to give it a try only to find out it was a bad decision. Service was very poor even on a slow night. The server failed to bring the drinks out, after having asked them 3 times they finally brought the drinks. The burger I got had half the toppings and the rest seemed to have fallen off the burger and never got replaced. Not to mention the feedback that I had left earlier about the service a manager was supposed to get back to me and well its been over a week now and no one got in touch. Poor management and service. Very disappointed. A fast food restaurant provides better service.

Horrible experience at this restaurant. We were a party of 9 and were told that there would be a 25 minute wait. We sat in the bar for over an hour and had to ask 3 times before someone was able to give us an approximate time for being seated, we then waited an additional 15 minutes. after we were seated it took 30 minutes before the waited took our order. during this entire time several other parties of 5 or greater were seated served and left. I have never had such poor service at any other restaurant. The manager didn’t even bother to come over and explain the situation to us. Won’t be returning here or recommending it to anyone I know.

We have been to this location several times over the years. But usually it’s if our other choices have too long of a wait. Like this time, rusty bucket had a 30 minute wait. While we were killing time walking through the mall we noticed M&Es was only half full. So we went in. Wife ordered a chicken salad which she enjoyed. Daughter and I ordered a regular Erma burger. Both tasty and cooked well. I also got the tortilla soup for the first time from always hearing people rave about it. I thought it was ok, but not the greatest thing ever made like people say. Not a bad place to go, but not really a first choice.

We had terrible service, they brought my friends cheeseburger out without a bun & said«oh you wanted a bun?» My friends nachos were mostly stale and I don’t understand why a restaurant would be like this. Will probably never go back to this location & we just wanted a quick bite. 0⁄10 would not recommend.

Everytime I’ve been here, the device is extremely slow. Took the server 20 minutes to take our order.

It’s fine if you need food, but the service is some of the slowest I’ve ever experienced. And we’re not talking about a crowded restaurant… there were maybe five other tables occupied in the whole place. And I know there were plenty of servers, because I saw them chatting by the bar. There’s much better places even just in that mall.

After the dozens and dozens of times I’ve been to Easton, I think this is the first time I’ve been to Max & Erma’s there. I give it 4 stars. My 1 missing star is based on the service. I should be ashamed of myself for not getting a world famous burger, but I was not in the mood. I went with the buffalo chicken sandwich. My first impressions were, «wow, this is a big sandwich». I had to cut it in half.(I know, chump move, but deal with it.) The bun had a great toast on it and the lettuce was crisp. The buffalo sauce left something to be desired. It just wasn’t spicy enough for my tastes. It was still a delicious sandwich. My kid had chicken tenders which I sampled and I must say they were some of the best chicken tenders I’ve had in a while(other than my own homemade ones). The kids meal came with 4 big tenders and a big heap of fries. The kid ate 2 tenders and we saved the other 2 and fries for dinner the next night. Now, on to that missing star. Our server was really slow. That’s it. I usually don’t care because I know servers have a lot of stuff to do and people to serve, but on this Sunday evening, the restaurant wasn’t very busy and I saw plenty of servers around. With the kid, we would have loved getting our food fast so we could keep the kid entertained with food.(there’s only so many times I can do a maze on a kids menu with 3 colors of crayon.) However, it took maybe 40 minutes to get our food. We also never got any refills until it was time to leave and we asked for to go cups. Bottom line: Will we go back? Yes. We aren’t those people that never visit a restaurant again just because service is slow one time. Plus, I still need to try a world famous burger. Maybe even get free cookies on Wednesday.

First things first… never evah try to get in to this place(or any other eatery) around noon on a Saturday. Ain’t gonna happen without a long wait. But other than that, it’s a Max & Erma’s which to me means go for what they are known for — the burgers!!! Service was a tad slow since it was jammed packed in there by the time we got a table but the guy was hustling so I wasn’t upset. I recommend going for the specials to save some money. We both got the burger, salad and cookie for $ 9.99 each. Salads were ok, that tortilla burger was good(should’ve asked for more jalapenos but that’s just me), and the cookie? Guy brought out our cookies and said they were hot from the over(they were) and he gave me an extra one since my first one broke. They should think about giving or offering milk to go along with these tasty things! Oh the hot from the oven sweetness… I’m trying to tell you! Yasssss!!! And they don’t charge me for club soda with lime like some other places. It’s all tasty :)

Can I give less than a star? My brother and I stopped in for a burger before our movie. I gave the waitress my order, she repeated my order, started to write it and then asked«what did you order again?» We were served water and didn’t receive straws or silverware until after we received our food and had to ask. I also had to flag to get a water refill, after waiting 15 mins. My brother’s burger had none of the condiments(lettuce, tomatoes, onions, ect.) that was in the description. The plater had 8 – 10 fries –maybe… He bit into the burger and it was completely RAW! We had to flag someone down to send it back. Couldn’t order anything else because our movie started shortly. The manager was nice enough to take it off our bill. I had the fish tacos and asparagus. The asparagus seasoning was awful and made both of us pucker when we tried it. Too much salt and way to much lemon. I don’t expect five star, best food ever from Max and Erma’s, but this was absolutely terrible!

My wife and another couple went to Max an Erma’s on a Friday night at Easton and surprisingly they were not busy at all. We soon found out why. Our waitress was super nice, but everything else was horrific. The food took 35 minutes and there was a ton wrong with our meals. My wife ordered grilled chicken on her salad and they brought fried. My buddy asked for a side of BBQ sauce 3 times. His wife asked for Ranch 2 times. It wouldn’t have been a big deal if we weren’t late to our show. Again the waitress was great, but we won’t be back.

I’ve always loved Max & Erma’s tortilla soup and cookies. The other day was national cheeseburger day or something like that, and we had no idea. I ordered the cheeseburger combo that came with a cup of tortilla soup and a cookie. It was only $ 8.99 but with the discount for that day, it came out to be like $ 5. Crazy! It’s a nice place to go to for some comfort food, and it reminds me of home because we used to go in high school a lot.

I don’t have anything particularly good or bad to say about Max & Erma’s. It’s your typical American chain restaurant with a comfortable but predictable atmosphere and menu. They have plenty of tables and it’s a good spot for moderate-sized groups(6 – 10) to meet before of after an AMC movie. Our waitress was sweet, but seemingly new and over-apologetic about everything. She was great though and very attentive. I ordered the TMC(Tomato Mozzarella Chicken) which came recommended by a friend and was also a «thumbs up» item on the menu. It was pretty light and tasty sandwich consisting of grilled chicken breast, thickly sliced mozzarella cheese, tomatoes with tomato-basil spread served on toasted Ciabatta bread. The TMC was served with a nice side salad. I added a cup of Tortilla soup for few extra dollars, which was a good call. It was rich and cheesy, which counterbalanced my lighter entrée. Portion sizes and pricing was fair, comparable to other chain restaurants(ie. Chili’s, Friday’s, etc.). They also have $ 2.50PBR pint specials on certain days. While dining at Max & Erma’s may not exactly be a memorable experience, I think it serves its purpose. It’s an easily accessible sit-down restaurant for families and teenagers who watched(or about to watch) a movie at the AMC theater. While I wouldn’t go out of my way to dine here, it’s not a bad option for moviegoers.

Okay, I’m going to get the bad out of the way first. I have never been to restaurant where the non-alcoholic beverages weren’t listed. Until here. 2 pages of boozy drinks but not even the hint of what their non-booze offerings were. Maybe if we’d shown up with a kid or stroller, we’d have gotten the non-alcoholic offerings. I probably wouldn’t have gotten so bent out of shape about it if the waiter hadn’t been a little taken aback that we asked about them. Now, onto the food. We all ordered burgers. And, for the most part, were happy with our choices. I had the Aunt Patty which was very tasty. The boyfriend had a bodacious bacon burger. Dad got the Texas ranger(which he loved) and Mom had a basic burger. They were all nice burgers… our issue was that none of them came cooked as we ordered. All were cooked well done. We had 3 mediums and a medium-well in our group. I’d have kicked the review up to a 3 if they had cooked our stuff to order. There are plenty of M&E’s in town who do things more consistently.

Does not stand out in dense restaurant area This max & ermas is set right in the middle of Easton’s «mall» area. It has a prime location, but subprime dining experience. Nothing about the place stands out. To make things worse on weekends you may have to wait to be seated. If at Easton there are a slew of better options to dine with.

«Meh, I’ve experienced better» is about all I can say for the customer service here. I won’t complain about the food, as it’s always really good… especially if you’re there on Wednesday(free cookies!) My most recent visit… and possibly my last, was pretty rediculous. First off, when we were seated, I felt like we were invisible as it took the server(I won’t mention names… but it was a blonde, typical highschool/college airhead) FOREVER to come to the table and greet us. When taking our order, she thought she’d be cool by not writing anything down… yet had to come back to confirm what we had ordered. I ordered a garbage burger. She didn’t ask if we wanted it «Max size» or «Erma size»(Max is obviously bigger than Erma). So we asked… and she’s like«I just did Erma size.» Um… wow…and I was REALLY hungry… and she missed an upsale.(FAIL) Fortunately, she didn’t charge us for the larger size burgers as it was an error on her part. This seems so typical of many servers anymore… just doing the minimum and expecting a good tip. Well here’s a tip for you: do better at your job and you’ll get a better tip from me. The cookies were amazingly good though, hot out of the oven and divine! So that helped a lot! LOL! So yeah, will probably stay away from here and go somewhere else.
