Exodus Moving and Storage Denver

Exodus Moving is a fantastic company. I would personally ask for Dale, he is the best! These guys really take care in making your move easy, painless and without incident.

The move was complicated, done on a 95-​degree day, and had many stairs, and the movers successfully moved everything without damage. The estimate was off (low) by about $ 400, and I’m not sure if that was because the estimator didn’t fully account for the trouble the stairs would cause, but I don’t think the move could have gone any faster. Anyway, yes, I’d recommend them. This was my second move with them, though my first was with a crew out of Fort Collins.

I STRONGLY urge you find a different moving company other than Exodus unless you actually like being cancelled on last minute due to over-​booking and then being stood up on the day you were rebooked for. It’s not like we don’t have to be out of our apartment today or anything. Brian was the guy we dealt with and after calling and calling and finally getting ahold of someone that had him call us back and he claimed he didn’t recall the conversation rebooking us for today and that he told us he had said he would give my boyfriend a call on Monday. Wait, umm, didn’t you just say you didn’t recall the conversation, Brian? Hmm if we had to be out of our apt don’t you think we would have called another moving company? We didn’t because you said, «I’ll see you at 8AM on Saturday morning!» He then said, «well, I’ll review my notes when I get back to the office on Monday and call you.» Are you a complete moron? What good will that do me? How will that help in any way? Because of this lying asshole we had to pay someone twice as much to move us last minute on the Fourth of July. Yay Exodus! I will tell everyone I know– and there are LOADS of people moving here in Aurora right now– to avoid using this company. Now had anyone there tried to help us out or apologize or try to accommodate us in ANY WAY I would not be taking the time to write a review on every website I can find.

I’ll be honest. I was really nervous hiring a moving company for the first time. I have heard so many horror stories. I meet a gentlemen at a convention that worked for Exodus… so I felt a little more sure footed. I called about a month before our move and the rep on the other end was very helpful. They gave me all the info and pricing I needed, and they didn’t make me feel hurried or rushed. When you call into some businesses, they make you feel as if your inquiry into what they can offer you is an inconvenience. Exodus was gracious with their time and were very thorough. They were more expensive, by just a bit, then some of the competition. Again, I felt more comfortable.
The movers came in and were stress-​free. They didn’t feel invasive or reckless. I was thrilled with them. They even knew how to take apart my couch. WHAT? I didn’t know it came apart. They were very detailed and communicated well with each other and myself. They have a customer for life. I am delight to have worked with them and would recommend them to everyone I know.

Exodus Moving and Storage did a phenomenal job of moving the contents of our five bedroom house from Colorado to California. Our story highlights how flexible, responsive, and professional this company is.
I began the mover selection process by researching reviews online and asking contacts about their own moving experiences. Several people in Fort Collins recommended Exodus. Jake came out to give me a quote, and I noticed that unlike the two national lines that had given me estimates, Jake took the time to walk me through the entire process, including terms I was not familiar with and what exactly the insurance covered. I was most interested in them because I wanted our possessions to be in the control of one set of employees from one company throughout the cross-​country move and three week storage period, and only Exodus was able to guarantee that. I also appreciated that Exodus both drug tests and pays their employees well and thus has a low turnover, ensuring that the movers would be more experienced that other companies.
My husband’s new employer provided a significant financial incentive to use a national moving line, as they had a contract with them, and so although my instinct was to go with Exodus, I chose the national line instead. On the first day of packing, the national line did not show up at 8am as arranged. When I called to follow up two hours later, I couldn’t get a live person, just voice mail. When the two guys arrived two and a half hours late, they were driving their own van, wearing their own clothes (no company logos to be found anywhere), mumbling about how they were given the wrong address and no phone number. I had no confidence that they were actually professional movers, so I fired the national line on the spot and called Exodus, gambling that they would be able to help me out with less than a half a day’s notice.
Ilan and Jake immediately swung into action, and by that afternoon, I had a team of six people at my home to pack. They were all very professional, particularly Julia who I believe led the team. They worked quickly but carefully, and all were polite and responsive to my requests. Packing went smoothly, and the move three days later, led by John, went equally well. I have several antique pieces of furniture which are very sentimentally valuable to me as well, and the team took great care with them. I also want to note that although Exodus could have tacked on a surcharge for the last minute call, they did not, and their price was fair and in line with companies that provide nowhere near this level of service.
When I met the moving van in California three weeks later, Frank and Phil did a great job moving our things into our new home. Despite the 100 degree heat, they worked quickly and were friendly and professional throughout the long day. They hired two additional professional movers to assist them, and did an excellent job managing them, as well. The team even put our bed frames together before leaving. Throughout this process, the home office in Fort Collins checked in to make sure that I was satisfied with all aspects of the move.
Now four months later, we have finally unpacked everything, and I am amazed to say that not a single item was damaged or broken, or missing. Not one. I expected some damage or wear with a move of that magnitude, but everything was in the exact condition it was in previously. I am so impressed with this company, and with these employees. Moving is such a stressful ordeal, and knowing that Exodus was handling everything gave me tremendous peace of mind. When we move again, locally or cross country, I will definitely call Exodus.

If you want someone you can trust and will do a good, clean and thorough job, you want Exodus. If you want cheap and dirty, go somewhere else. This company is first rate. We moved around the beginning of September 2011 and they came to the house to do the estimate (to be on site to see what there actually was). They packed us up. They loaded the truck (great job nothing broken) and unloaded the next day. They where mindful of not causing any bumps, scrapes or scratches. They did misplace a box in the house (a box of hardware to put the beds back together) but did return to the house and no extra charge to put everything back together once the box was found. They picked up boxes and packaging material at no extra charge. At the end of it all, the total bill was LESS than the estimate. How many companies do that? If you are nervous (as I was) and you just want a good, reliable company, look no further than Exodus.

I’ve moved six times with Exodus Moving and would use them again! They have moved me half way across the country twice and locally four times. They go out of their way to take as much stress out of the equation as possible. They are so friendly and professional!

I used Exodus for a move from San Jose to Denver. Although there were issues with the original truck that was going to be used for the move, I was kept informed the whole time regarding the status and my move was not delayed. Everyone I dealt with was professional and friendly. My belongings arrived on time and in great condition. I would definitely use Exodus again.
