I was in and out of there in 15 minutes… Fast service plus a check in offer, can’t beat it!

I stopped by this shop for a Smog just because of the $ 40 coupon online. It brings the price for this smog test to a reasonable amount. It’s clean and the smog test is quick. The customer service is another story. The girl behind the desk definitely lets you know she does not want to be there. The whole time she was picking something out of her nails and flicking them on the desk as she was processing my paperwork. Not the best reflection for anyone’s business.

Here again for my smog check. I love this place, they are nice. And has clean shop, I was in and out fast. I’ll be back.

We had an very disappointing experience at Perfect Smog, we brought are car in for a Smog Check and started to fill out the documents, another customer walks in for re-​test and the lady at the front desk took his vehicle to the test bay before us and asked him to fill out some documents, she then started to do the smog check, we were very upset the Lady at Perfect Smog did not ask us if it was ok for customer to cut in line, also Perfect Smog Leaves your car key in the ignition when they park your car outside in the parking lot we have been going to Perfect Smog for 5 Years and since they changed owners customer service has been disappointing we will never go back to Perfect Smog

$ 43.20 (for a Toyota RAV4) out the door with my $ 24.95 coupon (extra $ 8 for certificate + $ 10 for it being considered an SUV). Service was quick and efficient. Quick tip: BRING CASH AS THEY DON’T ACCEPT CARDS WHEN USING THE COUPON!
I will agree with all other reviewers though that the tech was not a friendly human being. As friendly as I was to him, there was still no breaking the ice. LOL! Oh well… he got the job done and that’s what counts.

Omg I have never had such a horrible experience with this place. First off I had a smog done about a month ago. With the receipt I was given there is no time limit for a retest. The part was not filled out plus a charge for $ 8.25 for the certificate. It failed so I don’t get one right? Well still charged. I now call and tell them I need a retest the girl tells me it’s beyond 30 days. I told her it doesn’t state that on the receipt she says its in their office posted. Her attitude was beyond rude so when I asked for a manager she said there is none u only get to talk to me. I asked for different locations she said no you can’t come to this location or any other. I asked for a manager name or a phone number to file a formal complaint again she said no your just a child b*tching and complaining go do something with yourself. I was so shocked ! Obviously I blew up too after that. She then goes on to tell me that they are not star certified keep in mind the website says they are. I asked since when are you not certified? She said «since you don’t need to know don’t call here or show up to any of our locations». I thought it was just me that she was being rude to ! But a few hours later I came to a wonderful place in walnut creek called smog check on north main. I explained what had happened so the guy called them he’s like hey maybe it was just not a good call from the start let me call and ask about the star certification. He called and she told him well that’s not our location he said its on ur website that ur location is star certified since when is it not? She again said don’t worry about it don’t call here and hung up on him ! So overall I was scammed by these people. Horrible customer service false advertisement and I surely will call the B.A.R. !

This is my second time coming here. They are fast and I never have to wait. It’s easy to come to this place. To use the coupon you must pay with cash

I’d give zero stars if I could. I had a similar experience to Marcela who Unilocaled previously. But at least it had some entertainment value.
When I asked a few questions about the price (difficult ones like, do you have a AAA disocunt), the young woman (Sarah) at reception said to me, «you are welcome to go elsewhere.» To which I replied, «thank you, I know that, but I would like my question answered.»
Sarah said, «Well if you are gonna have attitude, I have the right to refuse you service. So take your business elsewhere.» And I did exactly that. The whole experience was very low brow, being refused for my «attitude» by a grumpy twenty something. So I can’t tell you how their smog services are. But I can tell you how their customer service is. LOUSY.

No waiting… Drove up, barely say down and my car was smogged. In and out within 15 minutes…

My wife and I took our car here last weekend. Derrick the disheveled and extremely unfriendly «technician» (term used loosely) didn’t like me questioning him about why my car didn’t pass. He (Derrick) then decided to tell me to F**K off and that he didn’t give a S**T what I thought and that my opinion didn’t matter (I’m a 25 year ASE certified REAL technician). This was in front of my wife and two other female customers. I called the owner to tell her what happened and she said I was threatening her when I said I wanted an apology. Apparently saying you’ll make a negative Unilocal review if you’re not treated properly now constitutes as a… GASP! «THREAT!» Pathetic. The owner and her «technician» don’t care about anyone but the dead presidents. DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE. Oh, and Val… (that’s the owner, who won’t even read this because she doesn’t care about customer’s opinions) I’m contacting the BAR next — not a threat dear — consumer rights :)
UPDATE: I’ve made a report with the BAR which is my right as a consumer. I also encourage EVERYONE who has a real issue with this place to file a complaint with the Bureau of Automotive Repair. Misleading advertising and shady employees are taken very seriously by the BAR. Thank you!

My father received great service from them after trying to take his car to another smog shop that tried to rip him off. Considering he brought in an older vehicle to smog that usually costs more, he only paid $ 45 with no coupon.

The boss at my storage told me about this place and even printed me out a coupon for the 19.95. I always read the fine print so with the 10.00 extra for having a minivan plus the smog certificate fee and knowing that I have a year 2000 car the total would be about $ 45 or so. The lady at the front desk was AWESOME! She didn’t even mind that our PitBull was in the van, although we told her that we would take him out anyways, I just thought that it was awesome that they are pet friendly. (especially towards pits because that’s very rare nowadays). In less than 10 minutes we were out and on our way with our smog certificate. I am definitely coming back… Thank you for making my day just a bit easier a perfect smog!

I brought my car here with a coupon. When I came in there were two girls at the counter, neither of which, greeted me. During the whole exchange I felt as if they were put it to have to deal with me. When my car was done I had to ask the mechanic what to do next after he pulled it out and no one even came to tell me if it passed. Apparently it was also very annoying to him to have to deal with a customer also. I was very disappointed with my whole experience here and I won’t be back.

I came back here because of good the price and quick service. One of the previous comments on Unilocal stated they were not very friendly and rude. I walked in and said «Hi, how ya doing?». The guy at the counter never said «hi», «how are you?», «may I help you?» Or even «kiss my ass»!!!
When I said something about not being very friendly, he literally threw the clipboard and pen down on the counter, still never speaking a word. I asked what he needed and he said «name & signature». This was the entire conversation…
The service was quick and the car passed.
Oh I forgot, he said «CASH ONLY». And when we were done… Not a «thank» of any kind. What an ass. (and I don’t mean that in a good way)

DON’T BELIEVE THEIR COUPONS. THEY DON’T APPLY TO MOST VEHICLES.
Printed their coupon and took our small size truck (Nissan Frontier) for a smog check. Coupon stated $ 21.95 plus $ 8 for certificate. Ended up costing over $ 40. Looking at the reviews, apparently I’m not the only one who got screwed by their coupon. They’ll come up with some BS about why your vehicle will make your smog check cost more. Basically the coupon is to reel you in. Once you’re there, be ready to pay more.

Never one to write a negative review let alone rant in one but this was a must. Had a coupon for here that made my smog check a lot cheaper than other places I called around. I called to make sure the coupon was valid and how much cash I should bring since it was a cash off coupon. The man who picked up was very friendly and I told him my year make model and that I had a coupon. He said the total was $ 42. I even repeated that to make sure and he said yes come on by.
I make my way there and a not so welcoming lady was at the desk (no hello or smile). I handed the coupon and told her what the gentlemen on the phone had told me. She said «The smog check for you would be $ 46.» I repeated what the man and said and she said is the only one who answers phones (meaning she was the owner) and that that is the price (even though I noticed a male employee in the background) she even said I must’ve called another location and I pointed to the coupon which number I called and that was this location. She continued to argue with me as if I was lying. It wasn’t the $ 4 dollars, more of the principal and the fact that I had only brought 42 $ in cash.
She then said that it had to be all in cash too and we couldn’t pay the rest in check! So instead of making an exception since it was Her employees mistakes, she made it extremely difficult for her customer. (Have you ever heard of the customer is always right rule? Guess not)
I didn’t want to argue and just wanted to get this errands out of the way so I started the paperwork and told her that she should talk to her employees about quotes /​info they give on the phone. She has the nerve to tell me «well you can go somewhere else, you don’t have to come here» really?! I don’t know how I didn’t just put the pen down and walk out. Figured I would just take the cheap deal and warn my fellow Unilocalers of this horrible experience. The bargain is not worth the horrendous service!

Always great service. I’ve been here 3 times and never had a problem. I like that they offer Unilocal coupons so make sure you have the Unilocal app so you can get a discount off your smog.

Quiet place, friendly people. Fast work, it only took about less than 10 mins to get my smog test done.
Only small negative maybe for those who wants detailed report, is the smog report did not show the details i. e PSI score etc.

My car took a little bit of dismantling to see the engine for inspection. They did this, were careful.
I felt bad using a coupon and that they took a bit of extra time. I offered to not use the coupon and they said it was fine as they now know how to do smogs on my car (Porsche Cayman) .
This is the first and only place I will use to smog all my cars .

It’s a Saturday and raining. Arrived at 9:30 a.m. Another car was being smogged. That car finished in 5 minutes or so. My car was up next, finished in about 15 – 20 minutes. DONE! Went to McDonalds for breakfast to celebrate that my car passed. Woot!
