I like this company cause they work with section 8
Hopefully they contact me to let me know when they have section 8 available housing

Stuart has managed the house that our family rents for several years. He has always been respectful and courteous. He responds very quickly to any problem and somehow manages to arrange most repairs within a day. We would gladly recommend him.

I have worked with Stuart Levitas professionally for about 6 years at this point. I own 4 properties, 3 of which are in Oakland. Stuart has found tenants for all of my properties in Oakland. He took care of all the advertising, meeting with tenants and ultimately leasing of these units and I have always been very happy with the tenants he selected. He has also managed a 4 plex of mine for about the same 6 years. He has been diligent about picking up the rent from sometimes scattered or uncooperative tenants. He responds to my tenants issues quickly and escalates repair issues to me as appropriate or independenty hires a contractor to get the issues addressed. I could not have managed these 3 additional properties over the past 6 years while working full time and having a family if it wasn’t for Stuart. He’s a great property manager and I look forward to many more years working with him.

I needed to rent a property in Concord. I contacted Stuart and within two weeks he found me excellent tenants! Stuart provided the lease and all the paperwork. All in all he did an excellent job and I highly recommend him.

My landlord moved out of the country, so Stuart is now managing my condo. I had some needed repair work in both the kitchen and bathroom. I called Stuart and he was very responsive. He had me call a plumber in the area who came out the next day and everything was fixed immediately. Stuart followed up with me to make sure that everything was done. I feel very comfortable dealing with Stuart.

Stuart was my landlord for quite awhile. He is extremely easy to work with, and is very responsive, understanding, and honest. I always felt comfortable calling him with any issues and could count on him to do the right hting. I wish my current landlord was more like him!

This guy is currently our property manager for a house we rent in Oakland. He is unresponsive, rude, unprofessional and uses threatening language towards tenants. I’m assuming he wouldn’t use such words with men, but he sure feels comfortable to do so with women.
I wrote to our landlords regarding his unresponsiveness to my phone calls and issues with the house: our back fence has a huge gaping opening, our bathroom is leaking into the basement, our kitchen sink is leaking onto the floor, and a gutter is hanging off the house.
Upon contacting the landlords, he sent me an email with the following:
«I have cordial relations with all my tenants. I suggest you join the club.»
What is this, bullying? Ridiculous. I have had 3 men, 2 with guns, run through our back yard and into our home. And yesterday, A dog broke in through the same gaping hole in the fence and killed our chickens. Stuart told me we rented the house without a fence. .. right?!
When I brought up the fact that I felt he may be acting in a discriminatory manner towards us because our landlords usually rent out section 8 housing (of which we are not), he told me I was convoluted.
His repair guy came over, said everything I listed that needed to be fixed did in fact need to be fixed. He also told me the landlords own a bunch of section 8 housing and never fix anything — meaning Stuart will never order any fixes either. His repair guy also told me to withhold rent, because that is the only time they fix anything.
I wouldn’t do business with this guy. Unless of course you are convoluted and like to be talked to in a demeaning and bullying manner, then he’ll be a perfect fit for you!

Stuart is very honest. He will go to work for you when you need him. I’ve passed along his information to a few of my friends as well.

I have know Stuart for quite sometime; I really respect him as a real Estate Agent and as a person. We have worked together at the same company before and after I left we still kept in contact. When me and my boyfriend decided to purchase a house; I contacted Stuart. He is honest, knowledgeable and upfront about everything! He took care of everything from beginning to end! We were approved in October and the house was ours on December 20, 2011. We moved in on the 31^st. What a great way to start the New year! We really appreciated all his help. If you are looking for a real estate agent we highly recommend Stuart!

Do not work with Stuart Levitas. This was one of the worst experiencesof my life trying to rent a property in Lafayette recently. Below is a recount of my issue dealing with Stuart:
I am writing in regards to my disappointing experience with Stuart Levitas. I first reached out to Stuart in regards to the property located in Lafayette. I set up an appointment to view the property at the end of November that had to be cancelled by Stuart. We ended up rescheduling for Dec 1 at 6pm. I received a text at 5:13pm Dec 1 stating, «I need to cancel our 6pm meeting can we do it tomorrow.» I replied that I was leaving town that night and asked if we could somehow make it happen. At 5:34 he replied back, «stuck on other side of tunnel. Can’t get back.» This was the second meeting that he was a no show at. This is very frustrating as we live in Granite Bay and it is not always easy to rearrange things.
Fast forward a week and I was able to schedule a showing with my wife Dec 8^th. We decided to put in an offer for $ 2200/​month for the property after viewing it. Stuart said he would have to call the owner and that he would get back to me. He then said «if you don’t hear from me call me tomorrow.» Needless to say, that is not the type of customer experience I was hoping for after being flaked on twice. Low and behold, I never got a call back from Stuart. Finally, later the next day Stuart called me back after I had called him a few times. He said that the owner was willing to accept $ 2200. He also stated the owner would be putting in new carpet, painting and replacing the light in the master bedroom.
I asked him what the next steps were and he said we needed to fill out the paperwork off of the website. We sent the paperwork to him via email on Friday, Dec 9^th. I called Stuart on Saturday morning to follow up and make sure he received everything he needed. He once again did not answer. He emailed me Saturday stating, «I will get back to you late today, or early tomorrow.» He never called back later that day, or Sunday morning as he stated he would. I called him Sunday morning and also sent him an email asking for an update. He did not reply.
I called Stuart again Sunday around 5pm and left another voicemail. He finally replied… via text message at 6:19pm…“I have been out all day. Was not able to speak to owner today. Will definitely speak with them tomorrow. When will you be available in the area to sign the lease?” I replied back we can come by tomorrow afternoon and we would need to know by 10am Monday morning to make since we live 2 hours away. I advised him I would call in the morning to confirm.
I have called Stuart twice today and left voicemails with no reply. Fed up, I finally called the office to see where we can go from here. Marci was very helpful and apologetic to the horrific experience we have endured to this point.
