Can’t say enough about Damir and his team. Absolutely top notch professionals that do high quality work and actually do care about their customers. They removed all our insulation and installed all new insulation, in addition to adding a plywood floor to our kids attic to make it more useful. Damir is an outstanding communicator too, always keeping you up to date and very very responsive to questions night or day — or even on the weekend. Price is right too. Highly highly recommend — you won’t find anyone better.

All in all — excellent experience from the time Damir came in to inspect and give a quote to the time he came with this crew to execute on the job. Had to change dates twice due to the weather but his communication was timely and polite. Honest, straight forward, and professional. They were on time, worked hard, set up nicely, and cleaned up on their way out. I would recommend his services without hesitation and if he keep’s up his honesty and professionalism I have no doubt he’ll be the guy everyone wants to deal with and the only guy everyone will want to deal with.

I hired Damir and his brother to upgrade my insulation. I checked his references and his price was competitive. They checked all the vents and also installed a attic fan for those hot summer days. From start to finish they kept us informed of what, how, why and made suggestions etc. I would recommend his company without hesitation.

My wife worked with Damir, who was great. He arrived (a bit late, but called with an updated ETA) to do an assessment of our attic insulation, and his findings were consistent with others. In fact, he was more thorough than others, who only poked their heads in to do a quick lookaround; Damir actually went up and walked all around the attic for a few minutes. He provided a thorough assessment of the current state of the attic insulation and then provided me with a breakdown of all the options we had, as well as provided his recommendation of what to do. My wife felt that he was honest, forthcoming, and not a pushy salesperson, and his bid was competitive, though on par with some others that we checked out (based on square footage and materials).
On the day of the insulation, Damir himself was part of the 2-​person team that arrived to do the work, and they were both very clean and respectful. Damir found that our air vents in the eaves would blow the insulation around too much, so he attached cardboard to keep insulation in place. Additionally, he used batting to insulate the attic door itself, so we wouldn’t lose heat there.
Also! They left our house cleaner than they had found it. They found the least intrusive way to move their equipment into our home; additionally, they took off their shoes whenever they were inside the home (and wore booties once they were in the attic) and even isolated the parts where they needed to work with plastic sheets so dust wouldn’t get anywhere. Our house is now much better insulated, and the heater doesn’t run all the time. My wife says she would not hesitate to call up Damir in the future for any future attic work; also, he was great with our pug :)

Damir has got to be one of the most honest and trustworthy contractors out there. He is very pleasant to work with, his prices are more than fair, his staff work their tailbones off, and they prepare and leave the premises spotless; we never once worried about our hardwood floors or pets.
He removed the minimal builders blow-​in from our 2^nd story attic, examined the entire space for signs of rodent or undesirables present, closed every dang hole he could possibly find, and put up bat insulation even above the cathedral bedroom ceiling where there is very little space to crawl let alone work.
Then he did the garage bays including their attic spaces, and blew in insulation into the garage walls. Insulation in general but especially insulating the garage may have been the smartest money we ever spent. There was a significant difference in our electric bills before and after insulating.
Damir even went the extra mile coming back a few days after the job was complete because a small spot continued to bother him and he didn’t want even the possibility of a rat, bat etc getting in. He’s a perfectionist for certain.

Several different firms came out and made recommendations and provided estimates. Damir was chosen because he made observations and practical recommendations the other firms had not; and he did not recommend additional/​possibly unneeded pricey work, His bid was competitive.
Damir and his team worked hard, cleaned up after themselves, and left me and my wife completely satisfied.

I had 4 different companies come over to my house to give me estimate on insulation for my attic. Attic experts was the only one who actually got up their and walked the attic. Everyone else just peeked and looked at the insulation they could see. I knew then that these guys were better then everyone just based on that fact. Also the pricing was very competitive — the best out of all the companies I had give me an estimate. They deserve your business. The customer service and expectations were very outstanding. I would choose these guys again in a heartbeat. Owner is very friendly and trustworthy. He is very knowledgable and honest about his work. Choose them, they are the best.

This is my first day of 90+ (96) degree weather and what a big difference. Damir was timely for the estimate and his team was able to do the work right away. The bid was pricey, but cheaper than the furnace upgrade I was looking at. My AC is now able to cool upstairs with the additional blown in insulation.

Based on our interaction thus far, I’m happy to give a resounding thumb-​up for Attic Experts and Damir in specific.
Estimate scheduling was in reasonable time-​frame. Arrived when he said he would, and climbed into attic for close-​up inspection, which was a positive. Also walked around the property to inspect foundation vent and provided tips on trimming back trees & limbs. Was given a competitive written quote on the spot, so that’s a plus. Generous with his knowledge and time. Also followed up on our situation, which was a bit complicated with a host of other necessary work & upgrade before attic re-​insulation.
Although we have not officially booked his service, and we may end up going a different direction due to possible participation in Bay Area Energy Upgrade; we would definitely consider doing business with him, and recommending him to others.

Damir was easy to do business with, returned calls promptly, gave fair pricing, showed up on time. He and his team worked on my attic thoroughly, and were clean/​careful to not spread dust around. They’re clearly experts at what they do. He didn’t ask for this review but he deserves it and the new business I hope he gets from it. My hats off to hard working business owners like him.

We kept hearing scratching noises in the attic. I feared rats, but fortunately Damir only found birds. He came out on Superbowl Sunday, installed new vent covers and was done in about an hour. The price was very reasonable and I did not feel as if I could have found a better company for the job!

Our house was built in 1998 and already had fiberglass insulation in the attic but was probably whatever the minimum was to pass the building code in ’98. Some parts of the house that would be difficult to access by a lazy building inspector had no insulation which included the area above an entire bedroom 300 sqft bedroom with 3 perimeter walls and another area of about 150 sqft along one side of the house. The lack of any insulation in those areas would explain why that bedroom was always 8 – 10 degrees hotter or colder than the rest of the house at all times of the day and night. Side note, I also found a large empty can of malt liquor in the insulation that was probably left by the builders and mounds of insulation in some areas that would make it difficult to see beyond the mound into the uninsulated areas without crawling around. I also installed solar powered attic fans previously to draw out some of the heat buildup in the attic, which helps control the temps on the second floor on a hot day but does nothing on cold days.
I’m a pretty hands-​on DIYer so I’ve crawled throughout the attic several times and have drilled holes in perimeter walls more than a few times so I have an idea what’s where but there are things that while I can do, I’d prefer not to do myself.
I had requested 4 estimates from different companies: one from another popular company on Unilocal but the price was high considering the contractor was unlicensed, one from Damir at Attic Experts (lowest bid), another from one of the larger companies (estimate appointment was scheduled for the earliest date — 3 months away) and the last from another large company that required the completion of a whole house analysis report (in itself about $ 600) before any estimate of work could be scheduled.
The unlicensed contractor popped his head into the attic and told me that I needed to have all of the existing insulation removed, gaps around the recessed light cans and other leaks sealed, additional insulation blown into the walls and then new insulation added back in the attic; he said «I’ll give you the good stuff because you are a nice guy». I have only 6 recessed light cans on that floor of the house, all of which I was able to seal myself with a can of expanding foam. I also sealed around bathroom vents and anything else cut through the ceiling where there were darker clumps of insulation. All the perimeter walls already have fiberglass batts installed so blowing in additional in a 2×4 wall doesn’t sound likely, there’s just no space.
Damir came out on a weekend afternoon, crawled throughout parts of my attic and assessed what I needed and what I didn’t. He told me that he could add more insulation into the attic raising the existing to around R30-​R38 and that sealing the 6 cans probably wouldn’t make a large difference (I did it anyways since I figured that with more insulation in the attic that I wouldn’t be able to get around inside easily anymore). His estimate sounded more feasible so I agreed with his assessment and scheduled for him to come out on the following Saturday.
When Damir and his assistant showed up they took a lot of effort to seal off the area around the attic access hatch (ceiling to floor), plastic covering the floor and everything else (desk, furniture, shelving, lamps, etc.) in the path between the window where the insulation hose runs and the attic hatch. The work took about 2 hours to complete and they cleaned up everything when it was finished. He also explained and showed me what he had added in the attic.
I haven’t been in the attic since because there’s now too much insulation to wade through but the effect of adding more insulation is immediately apparent. The bedroom is still a few degrees hotter or cooler than the center of the house but the room does have four circa 1998 dual pane windows and it’s at one end of the house that isn’t affected by the downstairs HVAC unit. Also, I’ve noticed that in general we don’t need to run the heater as often as we used to. I’m sure the impact during the summer time will be just as beneficial.

Chose this company based on testimony of the other reviews. We had rats in our attic and the previous pest control folks were ineffective.
We then called Damir and two other companies for quotes. Damir had a very competitive quote but what I liked best was the time he spent in the attic and around the house looking at the scope of the problem. The other two firms pretty much popped their heads into the attic and then proceeded into the sales pitch.
Damir did a thorough job at removing the old insulation and then blowing in new insulation. He also plugged holes that the previous pest control team failed to find because those folks didn’t bother to walk through the attic to find the holes.
After the job was done, we still heard scratching sounds. Damir came back out and found that a mouse had been hiding in the gap between our chimney and attic. It was apparently hiding in the crawl space while Damir was cleaning out the attic and then it scaled our chimney back into the attic once the job was done. Damir set traps, sealed up the gaps in our chimney, and walked the perimeter of our house to make sure everything was covered. The following week the mouse was caught and we haven’t heard anything since.
We are very happy with his service.
