Family Spa

I go to a lot of reflexology places and am usually not happy with the experience. (Spoiled from going to Thailand) My friend and I chose a 60 minute full body massage with Amy and she did very well. The pressure was great and she knew the right places to massage more deeply and where to ease up on the pressure (most other places I’ve gone feel like they have no idea what they’re doing and they will massage against the spine and bones, etc.) She worked on some trouble areas in my shoulders and back without causing pain.
She understood English very well and asked several times how the pressure was.
The ambiance was nice and professional but they did chat quite a bit with each other, whispering and there was no music playing. I’m not the sort of person that minds that really, because she did very well on the massage.

Since this one is ever so slightly closer to where I live, i wanted to try it out. The décor, the facilities, and the service were all nearly identical to the other location further down treat. This one is in a bit of a weird location so I’d definitely allocate a few extra minutes just in case you drive past it.
The 90-​minute massage was every bit as good as the other location. I prefer harder massages than my gf, but I also don’t want to just be beaten senseless. Just like the other location, I feel like I get every minute’s worth of my massage time. For a «no frills» spa with Chinese-​style massage (but not just reflexology), I’d definitely recommend either of the Family Spa locations. They have long, flexible hours and are always a great value.

This place was okay. I added an extra star for getting me in last minute. However, the massage was kind of rough, which I usually don’t mind because I have a bad back and can take it, but this wasn’t the enjoyable. The massage therapist understood very little English, and when I told her softer, she went a little bit softer but then she went back to how she was before. At the end, I wanted to buy my friend whose been having a rough few weeks a gift card but the lady didn’t ended stand me again. She said the owner was giving a massage so they couldn’t come help me either. So guess the lost my money there. I’ll probably continue checking out other places around the area that offer massages and not come back.

I kept telling the girl to go harder… I could have rubbed lotion on my damn self… So pissed because I didn’t feel anything. When I told the front desk lady the girl was wayyyy too soft, she said «sorry try again next time «wtf

If you need a reflexology massage, go to Mishue (tiny woman very strong). She has good energy and I had 60 mins of foot and back massage. Super!

Super clean and reasonably priced, definitely try it out if you’re looking for a mid-​week pick me up. The one thing that stuck out to me is that they have you go to a different room to work your back, instead of flipping you over on the big chairs — usually not the comfiest, but theirs is made of microfiber! I’m a fan of its price, cleanliness, and its close proximity to my neighborhood. As long as you’re not comparing it to a $$$ Spa, I think you’ll be in for a relaxing treat.

Great place! I did a 2 hour massage, 60 minute foot and 60 minute full body, and it wasn’t long enough! I had Lucy and she was fantastic. Great pressure and was nice. Everyone I met spoke great English so I was able to communicate my needs. They took me into a private room for the entire process so I didn’t have to awkwardness of the shared room with noises all around me during my foot massage. My only complaint was the dog groomers were next door and I could hear the dogs every now and then, but that’s not to their control. And I was so in the zen I was able to tune it out. Just ask for a room on the opposite side as the groomers. Can’t wait to go back! Next time I will bring my sister with me

I love this place for the atmosphere and good massage. Asian interior, but place is a very clean, comforters are soft, there are warmer when it is cool and cold water when it’s hot.
Almost all therapists are very competent, they make a good massage. This is not a Shiatsu or Thai massage. Some successful combination: there are stretching the body, through the sheets — and there is a massage with oil directly on the skin. At the end of the oil wipe warm towels, very nice.

Came here today to try a massage place closer to work. Got the hour massage and was not disappointed. For prices like this, I’m not sure how other folks complain. Great massage, clean place and friendly staff. My only recommendation is they use online booking like Jade Spa in Danville. Check em’ out.

Called recently and scheduled an appointment. I asked for a therapist that is experienced.
Arrived for the appointment. The therapist was on time and finished on time.
The massage was not on spot. I felt hesitation in her strokes, and at times it felt wishy-​washy. She is probably new at it and not experienced. Upon checking out, I mentioned to the front desk that I had asked for an experienced person. The person worked on me was not. The front desk girl simply said to try someone else next time!
There won’t be a next time for me at this place!

Prices good. Staff pleasant. I had a couple foot massages here. Once I came alone, and once with wife. Not really busy. Both times I arrived with no appointment, and was taken in with no wait, but I tried to get there before lunch hour, and I called first to ask the wait. I had Cathy (or Kathy?) at first visit, and loved it. Found myself almost falling asleep a couple times! I wish I could go here once a week.

I wanted to combine a massage with my daily yoga. My pet peeve is a massage that isn’t as advertised. In my experience, the massage was 5 minutes short. Also, when you ask the therapist to massage a body part and they forget to. Still, I respect the art of massage and human touch. The massage therapist still did a solid general job. For $ 50+ out the door, the massage needs to be on-​point and on-​time, therefore it will be a long time before I’m convinced to return.

I took my mom here since it’s down the street from her place. Cathy was just awesome. It was the best 1 hour body massage I’ve ever had for an awesome price of $ 40+tip (cash, $ 43 for credit card) and honestly was better than $ 100+ massages I’ve had. She was very thorough and the pressure/​techniques were just right. I kept getting goose bumps, lol. It’s not a fancy place like Burke Williams but dim lights, soothing music, comfy massage table, and a great masseuse is really all I need.
I will be definitely going back.

This place is so clean. The staff are polite. I saw Jake the first time for a foot massage. A few weeks after, I scheduled to try out their 2 hours massage (1 hour for foot reflexology and 1 hour for body massage) for only $ 60.00! I was very pleased. I will highly recommend this place. Great service for the buck. Michelle, the receptionist is very pleasant.

Very nice place great prices. I walked in with a stiff neck and walked out feeling better. They only charged me for the upper body chair massage but have me the full upper body table massage with oil. Only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because of the communication, at one point the lady left the room to grab something without saying anything to me so I assumed she was done and I got up and started to get dressed. Lol other than that it was a good experience.

I was happy to hear that this location is a sister-​store to the Family Spa business located at Treat and Clayton. I’ve really enjoyed service there and thus had high expectations for the new spot.
We came in on Friday night and I saw a woman in the front room reading a magazine; I feared we’d have to wait for a couple’s massage. Thankfully there was no wait and my husband and I were taken immediately back into a dark room together where we soaked our feet in warm water, before two ladies cleaned and dried them, and then began an amazing 30 minute foot and leg rub. After that we were directed to a room together where we undressed and crawled onto massage tables covered in the softest blankets I’ve ever touched. The 30 minute back massage was awesome. I enjoyed mine more than my husband enjoyed his, but he wasn’t unhappy.
The place was clean and smelled nice. Towels and blankets were soft. My masseuse was gentle (but not too soft) as she rubbed my back. It was a nice amount of pressure. Her name was Cessy and my husband was massaged by Michelle.
It was only $ 37 each for the one-​hour massage ($ 35 with cash). We’ll totally be back to support the new location!

Started going to the original 3 years ago. Now vist 2X a month. Amazing place. Been to lots of message places and this is my favorite. They did so well at the original they open this as second location.
