Lehmer’s Concord Buick GMC

I had Lehmer’s GMC ship my truck for me — Russ A. and especially Brian D., did an excellent job. My truck arrived as planned. Thank you both for your great service. I highly recommend Lehmer’s GMC!

Great service from Jason! He did all he could getting us a good deal on a used Buick LaCrosse. Everyone was very nice and one star off for Pete, laughing at us wanting to get the most for our trade-​in. Yes, it had a lot of miles… but we were paying cash and he pretty much said there was no room to negotiate. The only reason we stayed was because we liked the car and Jason was a huge help. They did agree to give us $ 500 more (a loss) but didn’t budge on the price. And they agreed to fix the damage on the door. When we got home we noticed, no floor mats!!! really? Didn’t realize we needed to make sure they «came with the car». UDATE: So, Jason called and is having floor mats ordered for us, WOW! He is awesome, we already referred him to our family + friends. GO SEE HIM!!! He is going above and beyond for us, and we already bought the car. THANK YOU!!!

This reminds me of my first car buying experience ¼ century ago lol. They put everything out on the table. I am satisfied that I understand what I signed. The staff was personable. It was overall great experience.

Awesome service today– quick and efficient team effort put forth by the different staff that helped us with our Buick Enclave. The car wash was awesome. Great job– I love that our car looks shiny and new.

Beware!!! Go elsewhere when u want to buy a car used or new. Darryl is an awesome salesperson. However, when it comes to the sales managers and having to deal with trade-​ins, they are the worst. I had brought in a trade that I had 2 other dealers offer me a certain amount for. Both dealers were within 1 mile of Lehmers. I gave them written proof of the value of my trade from the other dealers. They refused to match it. In fact, their bid was $ 2500 less! Seriously?! I questioned it and they said nope it’s not worth that amount. A few days go by and I went back to try and question it again. There was absolutely no budging on their part for my trade. Then I got a phone call from on of the sales managers telling me they called the district manager in LA and he said no budging. Lehmers has been in Concord for many years and I am a local person for over 40 years. I will NEVER buy or recommend this place to anyone. Take your trades to another GM dealer if you are purchasing a GM car or truck because Lehmers will Low Ball you and think it’s ok. The 1 star is for Darryl Joyner. Thanks Darryl for helping me.

Don’t waste your time trying to get any part information out of these folks. They do not disclose part numbers over the phone as a «company policy». they tried to quote me 450 dollars for a part that is over 12 years old. Ended up having to do more work only to get it for half price. Don’t get gouged.

Ive had two different company cars that had «things» going on. The first car, a 2005 Malibu, had multiple recalls that needed to be addressed. Before I could get rid of it and get a new car I had to bring it down here for some fix’n.
I made an appointment and dropped it off. They have a shuttle service or like me I just had a co worker come pick me up. I had to leave it over night and picked it up the next day. They were very communicative with me and since I wasn’t paying I really didn’t care what it took to get the car finished. Also, I hated that car and any excuse to not drive it I took. In fact, I wished I could have just left it here forever.
But they fixed it then I had to wait a few months to get a new car. A Prius, which Ill write about in future in reviews.
My next vehicle is now a Chevy Express Van. I love it! Im only bringing it down here for repairs because they are so great.

Turning a one star experience into five…
On my not even a year old Acadia Denali the air conditioning went out. Made an appointment, took it in. On time, I got the call to pick up the car. While driving home from Concord to Suisun, just before the Benicia bridge on 680 the traction control light went on, and the car was barely able to drive. I called the service department, they said bring it back immediately.
I brought it back, they put me back in the loaner and said I’d hear back in the morning. Tom called (great advisor, by the way!) and said they pulled a code for a bad brake switch. They had to order the part and it’ll be ready tomorrow (5÷5÷16). I picked up the car, and driving home on the 4 the same thing happened. Well, by now the dealer was closed so I limped home.
I called and left two very disappointed voice mail messages. This morning (5÷6÷16) I called them, and they insisted I bring it in (I was going to take it to Vacaville since that’s closer) to make it right. So, limping down 680 at 45 MPH I return the car and waited. After about an hour they still hadn’t figured it out and were about to put me into the loaner when the technician who worked on it said he might have figured it out. Turns out when they replaced the brake switch it can be programmed in two places. Either the brake control module or the body control module. It was programmed into the brake control module (which logically makes sense). After programming the body control module they sent me on my way. By way of thanking me for my patience, they gave me a $ 50 credit in the parts store so I bought a couple of gadgets and went about my day.
The truck performed flawlessly, though I was nervous as hell while driving home.
It’s very easy to malign a dealership’s service department when things go wrong, but like all people mistakes are made. Lehmer’s stepped up, admitted it and made a small, but very appreciated, gesture.

My 2002 Ford Explorer finally died for the last time and I had to look for a another newer SUV. I was referred to Rick Weaver from Lehmer’s in Concord and had the best car buying experience. No pressure to buy. He was very friendly and made this stress of shopping for a car fun. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a car. The atmosphere in the dealership between the employees we interacted with was friendly and inviting as well.

Seriously this place is beyond ridiculous. This time I went in at my scheduled time. I needed an oil change and tire rotation which is covered at no charge. When I took it in I was told it would be an hour. Two hours later I check back. «They are just tightening the bolts.» Ok got the car back. The wash they promised didn’t happen. 2.75 hours later I was out of there. When I complained about this I was told. «Our records show the mechanic only had the car for 1.1 hours.» Really??? So the question I should have asked is how long will it take to the mechanic to start working on it and then how long will the mechanic be. Ok gotcha.

Ron Kaell was awesome in internet sales. The best experience in buying a new vehicle ever! No games and was quick. I have already recommended him to 3 of my friends.

I purchased a used Yukon from lehmers about 2 months ago. The customer service I have received from the sales and service staff has been excellent starting from when I walked in the door looking for the Yukon to the continued service I have received after the purchase. Great customer service seems to be more and more rare these days so I want to make sure they are recognized for it.
I worked with Lea to buy my Yukon and I feel that she was very knowledgable and provided a low pressure and easy buying experience. A few weeks after I bought the Yukon I had some electrical issues. After speaking with Tom in service they 1^st tried to repair the problem and when that did not fix it, they replaced the needed part with no charge to me. All this with the free warranty they offer on all of their used vehicles.
Bottom line, great experience, and Tom in service did everything he could to make sure I was happy with my service. Highly recommend this dealer.

Great experience! They got me in and out and washed my car. I’ve been to at least 4 local Buick dealerships within 20 mi over the last 3 years and this was my best experience so far. It’s where I will be going from now on. Plus there’s a Chuck e cheese across the street I can take my kids to while we wait.

I purchased a 2012 chevy malibu lt w/​2lt which was used, however … When i was shown the car it was at night and it was never brought to my attention nor did i see that all of the rims were scraped, the back of the cars bumper looks like someone swiped it because there’s lots of scratches and white marks. The car also did not come with all 4 floor mats and i was never told that it didnt i’m guessing they hoped I wouldn’t notice.
When i test drove the car, the alignment was clearly off as the car kept pulling to the right. I informed my salesman and asked before they give me the car to please fix the alignment. He suggested it was just the roads but that clearly wasnt the case and I highly suggested it be done or I’d quickly be bringing it back .
Upon pick up, that problem was still not fixed.
Another problem i had is that my salesman, Jason, had never made it clear to me that i would not be signing any documents. Matter of fact i had nothing to do with the whole transaction as it was put all in my grandmothers name. I was unaware of this until it came time to sign with the financial person .
Then upon pick up i was told i just had to come get the car but then Jason brings a paper saying one more thing needed to be signed. Its an inconvenience for me because i dont live close and my grandma was not with me. They let me leave with the car but i had to inconvenience my grandma to go back out there to sign a paper they failed to mention needed to be signed.
On the plus side, everyone was very friendly, they tried their best to work with our financial needs and weren’t pushy towards anything. They even filled up my gas tank !
Overall i had a really great experience and would recommend them to others. The only reason they dont get 5 stars is for the unprovided and unclear information and also for not mentioning the flaws within the car.

We recently bought a GMC Canyon– I would rate 5 stars except for my experience with Pete, explained below–
1. Darrell Joyner, sales rep– He was wonderful. His follow thru was amazing without being pushy. He might of not known the answer to every question we asked– but he went out and found it. (Meaning he did not feed us a line) He gets 5 Stars. We were dealing with 3 dealerships when deciding on a truck. Darrell followed thru, when those other Sales Rep barely called or emailed us back. Seriously– GO THERE– ASK FOR DARRELL
2. Parts Lady! Could not remember her name– Solid 4 stars– New the products, did the research for us. One less star because GMC has not updated their brochures for Canyon– not really her fault– just the hand she was dealt
3. Pete– Finance Guy/​Trade-​in Guy.- He gets 3 stars and that is being generous. Had excellent credit, and he comes back with a 4.99 interest rate, touting that it was the best one available to him. Seriously– If Darrell had not provided us with excellent service before this– I might of walked out. I told him that our credit union gave 2.25%- He came back with the wrong interest Credit Union, then the 3^rd try he finally got it correct.
4. Roger– the 2^nd finance guy?/Paperwork– He got us a 1.99% interest rate from a different credit union. Thank you! He was efficient at his job and explaining everything. He gets 5 stars.
I haven’t had tried their service department– but from other Unilocal reviews– ughughugh…

So, I brought in my vehicle again for an oil change. And they did honor the complimentary service. I also needed for the batteries in my remote key fobs to be replaced. I left my vehicle there so I can go back to work. I received a call midday to get an estimate on other issues for the vehicle that I declined. I called a few hours later to be picked up by shuttle without a hitch.
Upon returning, I went to the cashier desk. Only to see a bill to replace batteries $ 170 for labor. I was not informed when I dropped off my vehicle or on the call update that it would be so much to replace batteries. But I went on my way and did it even complain. It’s been two weeks since the service and the both remote keys do not work. When I press the unlock button, nothing happens. I’d have hoped that after paying $ 170 labor they would check to see if the remote key fobs actually work.
I called in and spoke to my service advisor and I will return to get them fixed this coming Monday. Crossing my fingers!

I am updating my previous review to show appreciation to Lehmer’s management for turning things around.
Long story short, I discovered an error on their website which prevented me from booking a discounted service appointment (advertised via email as a one-​day special). After making two requests to be contacted and hearing nothing, I phoned in to a very apathetic individual who couldn’t care less about the website’s error and who made no effort to problem solve. What I wanted all along was for somebody to clarify why I could not make an appointment for that day and help make me one. I also experienced «sass» from another employee on a different day.
Regardless of these things, the manager reached out to me and went above and beyond my expectations to rectify this issue. I am willing to give them business in the future so long as I deal with pleasant, helpful people.

Went in to get a duplicate key made. They were friendly quick and had no line. I was in & out within 10−15mins.
All the ladies chatted up my 19mos old baby!

Horrible. horible!!! Take ur business elsewhere! Don’t waste your time. not with (military man finance guy) at least…
After purchasing a Tahoe u figure ok. no Mats? Sales person (fiancé mgr, military man) replies back with such rude remark «u have to buy that yourself and I don’t have time to look for it» if my husband was not there my business would have been elsewhere. rude rude rude! The whole entire experience was horrible. not helpful rude and yet so demanding! Words such as «y are u purchasing this vehicle if u can’t even afford it! l I said excuse me!!!
I also was promise free oil changes. Negative! Brought it in and according to service it was not listed in the contract!
If I can turn back time I wish I never made this huge purchase with him!!! He did not deserve my money!

Receiving a text from a sales lady saying «F****** carpet muncher» — A must read review!
I have been a loyal customer for many years and recommended many people there. I also purchased a 2010 GMC Terrain 3 years ago and had a great experience. 2 years after the purchase I figured I would try and trade in the Terrain. The new sales consultant was Lea. Well, I was unable to trade it in due to the loan being upside down. Lea was very nice and I told her I would stick with her when I do trade my car in.
Sat. 6/​20, I filled out an application. Found a car with a rebate. Pete comes back with an offer. I declined payments were too high and so was the down payment. Sunday Pete calls with another amount, I declined. Mon. ⁶⁄₂₂ Pete calls to see if I wanted to take the deal, I declined. Carl calls me back later, he left a message saying he got the payments lowered.
I called Lea and let her know I have to decline the deal. She was okay with that and she will give Carl a call. I said thank you for understanding and when I am ready again I will call you. Carl left a message saying he got the payments down again and the down payment. Feeling a bit pressured at this point.
Then I get a text from Lea saying «Carl said if you can do this down and monthly payments makes a difference let me know» 4 minutes later get another text from Lea saying «F****** carpet muncher hasn’t called me back yet»
My mouth dropped. Are you serious! I spoke with my family friend that went there the next day Tues. ⁶⁄₂₃ and spoke to Darren, GM of Lehmer’s and the son of the owner. From what Darren told my family friend, that this is a common phrase that is used. Are you kidding me! No it’s not. WOW. How ignorant. Well Darren informed my friend this will be taking care of and they have procedures to follow and he got a copy of the text. I still have the text.
Darren called me an hour later and apologized to me and understood if I wanted to take my business elsewhere. He didn’t want to lose me as a customer and would have her suspended or terminated. He has to follow procedures as well. I told him, this makes me feel very uncomfortable, first you guys have my information, and how do I know I am even getting a good deal now, being discriminated against. He said Pete was right there with him and will see what they can do for me for negotiation. I told Darren I didn’t want anything to do with Lea anymore.
Pete called back about an hour later and said no down payment and the monthly amount. I took the deal, it helped with the no down payment and due to my situation it was a hard decision to make. I told Pete I don’t want Lea getting this sale and that I will not deal with her. He said he was sorry and had no clue what happened. Pete said I would get a new salesman. I went after work, signed papers; Christopher was the new sales person.
A week later I get a letter from Lea that appeared to be an apology letter but were excuses she attempted to make for her derogatory statements.
Here is what the letter says: «This letter is to apologize for the remark I made via text and accidentally sent to you. I come from a diverse family myself and I believe in equality and good treatment towards everyone. I guess I was trying to be funny and entertain myself and a co worker with an all too popular term, which is stupid and derogatory. Not funny. I’m sorry… This is a big lesson for me going forward and I will use it to promote tolerance and fairness towards everyone. Again I am sorry and I apologize. My remark does not represent Lehmers and it won’t happen again. Thank you for your business and congrats on your purchase.»
Well at least she sent an apology letter. So I figured I will forget about it. Nope, a week later get a call from Lea, she called 3 times in a row. What now? She is calling at 9:27 PM and 9:28 PM, they close at 9 PM. She left no messages.
Then 3 AM get an email from her, saying she hopes I am enjoying my new vehicle and if I need anything to call and I will receive a survey from Buick and wants to make sure I am completely satisfied and definitely recommend and sending a perfect survey to Buick. A week later get another email from Lea, saying it’s been a pleasure to assist me with the purchase and if anything keeps me from rating her service perfect to let her know.
Week later, I get an email from Christopher saying he is my new sales consultant since the prior sales consultant was no longer with Lehmer’s. I was confused, because Lea wasn’t supposed to get the sale in the first place. The next day I called Lehmer’s main line and the receptionist answered I asked for Christopher and she transferred me and guess who answers? LEA. Now they are lying.
I wish this on no one. No one deserves to be discriminated against. Being such a huge family owned company you guys don’t take pride in your business. Your actions speak louder than words.
