Pine Hollow Middle School

If you don’t mind your child attending a school where the principal does nothing to ensure your child a wonderful middle school experience. If you don’t mind the school principal reprimanding your child and creating a solution plan to help your child with their homework studies and then to never follow through with your child. Upon asking the principal what happened to our written out plan that we were going to work with the teacher is in order to get my daughter back on track, the principal replied I just offered this but after I offered it I realize I am too busy and your child is just going to have to figure this out themselves. The staff, the teachers, the principal, only care about waiting until that last bell rings so they can leave rather than helping your child. There is no communication to the parents and there is no teacher principal involvement with the parents who whatsoever. The principal talks down, belittles, and frankly does not go through with her word on helping your child in development and studies with the teachers and participating counselors.
With my frustration with no follow through with the teachers and the school principal there was no communication and I sarcastically offered to come to school to sit and help my child with the things that were needed since the school teachers staff and principal were failing her and the principal said sure you can gladly come do that that would definitely help us out. The principal had called myself and my daughters mom to a meeting to create a winning plan for my daughter and her school achievement. We SAT with her and wrote down a specific plan for an hour and we supposedly worked everything through. After that day for two weeks we would ask our daughter how is it going with the principal and the plan we have put together, to my daughters reply the principle says she doesn’t have time to help me with my stuff. I called the principal and went down to the school to meet with her as she acknowledges she didn’t have time to help and that since this is the 8^th grade year my daughter would have to figure her grades out her freshman year next year off of their time.
The principal is short in her replies, short on her ideas, and frankly doesn’t even pay attention to when you’re talking. The teachers, school principal, and parent involvement should be a –10 in this rating. I am surprised I am the first parent to write abput the school as there are a plethora of parents who will make sure their younger children or friends children make their way to Diablo View or other schools to stay away from the Pine Hollow middle chaos they have over there.
I had to beg of their principal and teachers to help me with communication and to help me understand what activities we would need to do to help my daughter and her studies and the help was less than zero, the respect was less than zero, the consideration and care was less than 0 as long as they did their job to rush home that day that is all they care about.
And to add to all this the high school my daughter goes to now looked over the record sent over for Pine Hollow and realized half of the stuff was not sent, half of the stuff was not filled out, & a lot of stuff was missing. Upon calling Pine Hollow to figure out why all the transfer paperwork wasn’t there again there famous statement was they have no idea why and sorry and have a good day, that’s it, that’s all. They will not help you at Pine Hollow middle school, they will not accommodate your child, they will not see through to you child success, the only thing that will do is sit there and collect a check from the county. KEEP YOUR CHILD AWAY.
