Ken Fritzberg began his carrier in the automotive industry in high school. He worked then for six years at a Union 76 Gas Station. Then followed his dreams and started his own company in 1984. Ken and his expert technicians have great pride in serving Contra Costa County for the last 30 years. Ken and his employee’s continue to educate themselves and undergo extensive automotive training to meet their customer’s needs. Ken and his employees offer our customers integrity, honesty, and reliability.

If I could give this business 10 stars I would! I have never had such accommodating people as this father & son team. The Kens, are just top quality people who are available to assist you with just about any kind of repair you might need. I have 99 Honda Civic that i get checked 1 a year & they take care of everything. I had some deep, behind the motor, repair work that was needed. They took the time to explain what was wrong & sent me pictures through e-​mail.
The price was extremely fair. Whatever the issue you have these guys will work with & for you.
They always offer to pick me up or drop me off. Customer service doesn’t get better than these 2. They are the real deal. It was so nice having such a positive experience after going to another automotive repair place in Concord that was missing the mark.

These guys are great. Excellent service, personable, and friendly. I was asking for their address so I could call a cab and they gave me a ride to my other car. Repair were inexpensive and they even delivered the car because I wasn’t going to get off work in time. I can’t say enough about these guys. I’m taking my car there from now on.

Solano way was the best oil exchange I have ever received! The gentlemen working with the car were friendly and kind. They dropped me off where I needed to go while my car was being serviced and picked me up from where I was when the car was finished. To top it all off the oil change was quickly and efficiently done. Thank you!

These guys are super honest and super friendly. I have taken in my car to get my oil changed twice. The most recent time, they noted that the front strut was leaking and then went out of their way to contact the Toyota dealership to check if my car was under warranty. It was… so they gave the closest dealership my information.
They’re a pleasure to deal with and very upbeat. Also they cleaned the exterior of my car for free after doing the oil change.

I just received a call from Solano Way Auto Repair to follow up on how my truck is doing since I picked it up Tuesday. That made me get on here and do a 5-​star review for them, because they always go above and beyond.
My family has been going to Solano Way Auto Repair for maybe 10+ years now (sister, dad, and now me). It is so wonderful to have a car mechanic you can really trust. Last summer they helped me figure out whether my car was ready to be «retired» and then also suggested and helped me get all the paperwork for the CA State retired vehicles program (when cars don’t pass the smog). Ken Jr. was so incredibly helpful.
Now I drive a truck. I just brought it in Monday for an oil change and check-​up. It’s not that convenient for me geographically (I live in Pleasant Hill), but I still wouldn’t consider going anywhere else. I was prepared to figure out a bus route to get down there to pick up my truck, but Ken Senior instead came to pick me up and take me back down. How incredibly nice. I have such a busy life and little things like this make all the difference.
And they are always all so very courteous and friendly, as well as being knowledgeable and helpful car mechanics. It really doesn’t get any better than this :)

These guys Rock. I pulled up and was treated like gold. Ken Jr. Was so on point. He walked through everything that need to be done. He also waived my 153.87 Inspection fee. In Short I’m from Ny. No BS. That’s what this place is about. No BS. Straight shooters. Not enough stars to rate them. FYI Also Veteran Friendly.

My tire popped on the freeway and this shop was right on the exit where I was at. Got new tires put on within 30 mins. Ken was very helpful and nice helping me. I would definitely come back if I’m in the area! Great customer service.

I’m back! Yet again and as always, I trust the Kens and Eddy to take care of my car (actually all three of my old cars). Saturn smog result, PASS. Not bad for an 18 year old Saturn with over 230K miles on it. The best part? It still gets 32 to 34 MPG. And that’s because these guys know how to take care of cars and trucks. They really do!!!

These guys are great. They do top notch work. Ken Jr. worked with me to get my Grand Caravan back up and running after I broke down.
They kept me informed of cost every step of the way while fixing my van. My van has 290,000 miles on it so a lot went bad at once. Ken’s team fixed her up nice. I really want to get another 10,000 out of her.
They even brought my van to my house for me which ruled because my wife had to take my daughter to the doctor. I am glad I choose Solano Way Auto Repair. I will go back there in the future if needed.

I’ve came buy twice to ask questions on car work since I live right around the corner and I found good reviews for this place. The first time I was brushed off and he acted like he didn’t want to work on my car. Today May 28 2014 I pulled in and ask him if he did suspension work on cars here. He said yes. I told him that there’s something wrong with my suspension and he said its you’re rims and that was that. So I said okay ill go find another shop. And he said okay! Twice he has denied me work on my car for no resaon I can think of. Bad customer service and I wouldn’t trust him working on your car.

I took in my 2008 trailblazer SS for a tune up that the dealer had said I needed at 60,000 but it wasn’t required the dealer just wanted me to spend my money. I also, had a a shaking going on towards the front of the car they extensivley looked into it and found out that the front wheel bearing needed to be replaced! I can’t belive midas didnt catch that one bout 3 months ago when i took my car in for brakes and the whole works! They did a great job, great costumers service, and quality parts unlike midas! Any work needed to get back on the road go to Solano Way Auto Repair!
