Sycamore Green Apartments

Only been a resident for two months but plenty of positives for this place.
Location — for me was perfect. 15 min walk to work, 10 min walk to nearby bike trails, 5 min walk to trader joes/​chipotle. Its not downtown walnut creek, but its got everything I need to survive most of M-​F. 10 min drive to BART & a bus stop right outside. Peaceful and quiet. There’s also an amazing verizon sign guy that does cool tricks at the intersection, in case entertainment is ever needed :)
Amenities — simple but sufficient. Pool area with recent renovations is amazing for lounging around, although a bit small for actual swimming. Gym is good enough for those rare occasions where I feel overly ambitious (hasn’t happened yet). Parking is never an issue, and trash/​recycling bins are nearby and cleaned frequently. No security gates and it gets dark at night, but I’ve never had issues or felt unsafe.
Apartment — reasonably priced compared to other complexes in this area… I share a 2b/​2b with another roommate, and its very spacious and includes a giant backyard. Walls are a bit thin. Ours are all carpet, has washer/​dryer, and most of the upgraded kitchen stuff (incinerator, dish washer, modern appliances). Love the ceiling fans for good air circulation. Clean.
Pet policy — just a deposit, regardless of 1 cat or 4 cats. (we have 4). None of that silly «monthly rent» business!
Staff & resources — no online system, but they make up for it with their deposit box and extremely friendly staff. Its a small team but they know you by name, understand your situation, and make it very easy during your move-​in transition. I like that they have dedicated maintenence, security and even a «complaint» phone number if there is an issue with a neighbor.
Pretty happy so far, hope it stays that way.
