Conroe Air Conditioning & Heating

On Fathers day my outside unit stopped cooling I called Conroe Air Conditioning, service man came out and told me my compressor was bad and needed a new unit for $ 4,451. That Monday I got a second opinion, come to find out I didn’t need a new unit, Conroe Air was just trying to scam me, I have worked in the A/​C Business before and I knew something was wrong. Not only did Conroe Air make fraudulent claims about my unit, the service guy left a wire lose on the start capacitor, when he powered up the unit it fried the capacitor. I called Conroe Air for a refund, $ 140 for the service call and $ 160 for the capacitor (There Price) they agreed to the refund of $ 300. Got my check in the mail today for $ 180, Scammed again! Never call or use Conroe Air they are just a bunch of lying thieves. I hate that the lowest rating is 1 star they don’t even deserve that. The company I used that fixed my A/​C was Airtite Services, honest guy that by the way was only going to charge me $ 1800 for the new unit, he could have just installed it making me feel good that I saved thousand from Conroe Air ridiculous price but this is an honest company unlike the con-​artists at Conroe Air. Call Adam at Airtite Services 281−706−2956 you will not be disappointed and/​or scammed.

Hidden fees: They installed their recommended Coleman air handler for over $ 2,500. 4 ½ years later, a heating element failed. Technician Tim Lindley said that under the 5 year warranty, there were fees of $ 67 to diagnose, $ 75 warranty processing, $ 85 labor and $ 35 part acquisition. Luckily, the unit had an unused element they could hook up instead due to house amp limits. …still paid the $ 67 diagnostic though. Their techs make multiple trips to the van for private phone calls back to office. …makes you wonder what they’re discussing.
