I was looking for a new Stylist which isn’t always easy to do… I found Chris and didn’t have to look any further… He is everything you want in a stylist. He listens, gives great feedback and wants you to be happy at all times with your results. Chris did the Yuko Anti –Frizz treatment on my hair yesterday and what a difference this treatment has already made. I wasn’t a candidate for the traditional Yuko but was a Great candidate for the anti– frizz. I have had Brazilian Blow Outs and Keratin treatments in the past. I just didn’t want to put myself or my hair stylist at risk with potential formaldehyde issues… No worries at all with Yuko. Chris is amazing! He is an expert in color and cut for both women and men. Chris also works as a Professor at the Paul Mitchell School in Costa Mesa, and he recently facilitated a conference to train other Paul Mitchell faculty across the country. He is definitely a master of his craft.
Chris has been my stylist for over 7 years. He worked with me to develop my own custom red color, which he has named the «Crimson Goddess.» (His signature blond is called the «California Goddess») He combines several colors and highlights to create a multi-​dimensional color that looks amazing. I always get compliments on my hair, and some people think that I am a natural redhead! :-) He follows the color with a great cut and style. I have also seen him cut men’s hair to perfection.
Chris has a great energy, he is fun to talk with, and he really cares about having happy clients and delivering perfect results. There is a reason why every single review here is 5 stars.

The volume of my hair, its curls, and its «frizz» factor are like no other! Prior to discovering my savior, Chris, more than 5 years ago, I absolutely dreaded going to a hairstylist. They always complained about how much hair I have and almost always double-​booked me with someone else.
The day I met Chris, I knew I would never be going to anyone else. He is extremely professional but simultaneously entertaining and pleasant. He has never been late to an appointment and never double-​booked me with others. He also takes it upon himself to continuously get updated and educated about new treatments and how they work. He is beyond patient. I see him mostly for yuko treatments to straighten my hair. This process generally takes Chris over 6 hours! No exaggeration. And he does not sit down or walk away from me for even 5 minutes in that entire process. In addition, his price for the treatments is very reasonable, even though my hair is exponentially more difficult to manage than that of a normal person! He is an incredibly hard worker who truly cares about his clients. Every time I leave the salon, I walk away fully satisfied. In my eyes, Chris can do no wrong! I would not trust my hair with a single other person and I recommend you do the same.

Chris is great. He has given me and a few of my friends (males) great hear cuts that many people comment on how good their hair cut looks after get it cut by him. Apparently he is really good at color and female cuts. Every time I’ve been in there and he is finishing up with a girl /​woman, they all look pretty amazing exiting the chair. You will also be completely entertained by him while sitting in his chair, he is hilarious.
Edit June 2014. Chris continues to give great colors and cuts. My roommate just came home with one of the best cuts since knowing him. And he did my neighbors hair too. Her hair cut and color looked fantastic.

I have been going to Chris to get my hair done for nearly 7 years now (even when I lived on the east coast, I would actually fly back just to have him do my hair)! He regularly cuts, styles and does Yuko (Japanese hair straightening) on my hair. He is absolutely fabulous and a consummate professional – I always leave the salon feeling/​looking amazing! Chris is by far the best hairstylist I’ve ever had. He is super patient and will work with you to get the best look for you. I am naturally a DARK DARK brunette and he gives me these caramel/​light brown highlights without bleach! It looks amazing. I always get compliments about my color after going to him. Finding a great stylist has been a life long journey for me. I’ve had my hair ruined by so many stylists that I used to always be scared to get my hair done. I found Chris Secor about 3 years ago and I have been hooked ever since! He is AMAZING with color and is so good at making the right color formula for you and your skin tone (whether you want blonde, brown, red or black!). He is always up to date with all of the new trends, processes and procedures.
Along with being an amazing hairstylist, I always look forward to the time I get to spend with him in the chair. He is hilarious and down to Earth and I can always count on a good time when it is time to get my hair done.

I love, love, love Christopher! He’s been giving my hair the «goddess» treatment since 2005. He always gives me exactly what I want. I love him so much I drive all the way down to Corona Del Mar from Hollywood every 6 weeks to see him. He’s also just a really fun person to talk to — which is really half the salon experience.

He is currently working at the Christopher and Company Salon. It’s a hip place and walking distance to a great view of the ocean. I’ve had Chris do my hair because I knew many of my friends and acquaintances go to him regularly.
He’s got a good energy about him and he gave a great scalp massage when he washed my hair. It’s totally a fun time spent getting dolled up with Chris. I also referred my friend to him and she loved him too.
