Went here a couple of weeks ago and it was fantastic! Bf got carne asada and shrimp fries that were so delicious! The shrimp was cooked perfectly and the guac and green salsa were the best! I got the carne asada burrito and it tasted very fresh(considering a lot of burritos are sometimes heavy and greasy) this was a great lunch spot, looking forward to coming back!

I was excited to finally try this little burrito shop, but was a little disappointed. I ordered the chicken burrito; it lacked seasoning and was outright bland. Some bites also tasted like the chicken had been cooked with fish or shrimp… gross. The burrito she’ll was o.k. I’ve definitely had better, but it got the job done.

Moving on, nothing to see here… Got a burrito and a taco from this place, not great. They were simply just really average. Not terribly expensive and that’s why I got three stars but the hot sauce selections Green and red were very subpar especially the red. If you want to good burrito you probably are going to have to leave the island

Huge Breakfast Burritos. My 2 year old son loved the bacon and eggs scramble. Would eat here again if I didn’t live in AZ

Got the red chilaquiles … Bland and cold The chimichanga was gross, the meat did not have any seasoning at all, rice was dry. I don’t understand why this place is so popular! California burrito … Ok

Excellent choice every time. Store gets busy but worth the wait. Their burrito selection is superb and the custom hot sauces are packed with flavor. Great service and delectable flavor that keeps you coming back for more.

Everyone that works there is amazing. But $ 3 for a tiny side of guacamole. This is California. Come on.

Really is hit and miss. Burrito last night was cold. Literally like pulled out of a fridge kind of cold. La Salsa is a better bet across the street.

The Sunday afternoon shift does not care about their jobs. We were served a soggy cold burrito. The woman who takes orders has a terrible attitude and does not not know how to use the cash register. She could also use a lesson in customer service and multitasking. This has been our consistent experience on Sundays.

I just had the carnitas burrito and it was PHENOMENAL. I can’t rate it well enough. As I was eating my juicy, deliciously flavored carnitas burrito I wanted to buy another one for later. For $ 5, they give you a lot of bang for your buck. I have a little less than half left so no need to buy another. But man was it amazing. I highly recommend stopping by here!

A local told us about this place. We got a carnitas burrito, veggie burrito with chicken, combination plate #2. The carnitas burrito was BOMB! They flavored it well with lime and guacomole. I would totally come back for it. The veggie burrito with chicken and combo plate was good, but needed more spice and flavor. It was a little too bland for my liking We would definitely come back. There’s a couple of tables outside, but it was too sunny, so we ate at a table in the small park across the street. It was a nice day and it’s San Diego, so we didn’t mind.

Ordering something as simple as two shakes to-go on a hot day results in one star for this place. I live close by and have been here multiple times over the years they have always been around 2 – 3 stars on average but today dropped them to 1 start and I will not be returning anytime soon. The guy at the to-go window was a real jerk while taking my order, laughed when the order was wrongly made then left my shake at the window and took off, I wanted to explain to him how the shake was still wrong. Very frustrating. Which wich is right across the street and has shakes as well, I will no longer give Clayton my money.

This is the second time I’ve been here and the food is awesome. I had the carne Asada burrito and it’s was phenominal! It’s a little hole in the wall kinda place but in a really easy to locate area. All in all, very filling and very delicious.

Even though they mixed up our order the amazing food made up for it in the end! Best Mexican food I’ve ever had out of my home state, Texas.

Price for the quality was a bargain, overall quality not the best I ever had, but not the worst either. They should give more than a half teaspoon of sauce, I didn’t ask for more as it was my first time and I did not look in the bag until I got home. Absolutely friendly folks working here and more than welcoming. I will be back.

I’ve been going to this Mexican take out place off and on for over ten years. It’s always hit & miss! A couple weeks ago I ordered rolled tacos w/guacamole. Barely any guacamole. So today I go in and get rolled tacos and asked if they could make sure there’s some guacamole on it. When I got to where I was eating my lunch, the tacos were literally swimming in 3 inches of guacamole! And the tacos weren’t even the slightest bit hot. Very disgusted!!! I don’t think that kind of service is funny at all especially when I come there often and tip them!!!

Neat little diner in the heart of Coronado. You can get breakfast, a hot sandwich, or a home cooked daily special all day. The pressed Cuban panini and a cup of coffee do wonders for a hangover! The staff is very friendly! The inside is a little warm due to no air conditioning, but that doesn’t matter most days in Coronado!

Went here this morning and it was pretty good. I got a Chorizo Burrito, donut holes and a blended Mint Mocha and it was fantastic. My 13 month old enjoyed the donut holes, while Mama devoured her burrito and Mint Mocha! Would definitely go here again. Nice to know there’s a local donut shop close by in the island. The staff was not so friendly and seemed all over the place but then again they had lines out the door in the actual restaurant and a whole line hugging the sidewalk for their take out. Either way, wouldn’t kill to smile at the customer.

I visited Clayton’s after Google searching for the best California burrito on coronado. Clayton’s seemed to be a sure bet… Yet I feel underwhelmed. The chicken was good, as the tortilla was amazing, but the French fries were clearly frozen, microwaved, and sitting or for quite some time. It made for a soggy mess. It wasn’t horrible, but I wasn’t impressed at all. I also paid extra to get guacamole on it and they barely put any on at all. I couldn’t even taste it.
