Hildegard is a very valuable discovery for any woman who wants her clothes to fit right or wants something made.
She’s made several things for me and i’m going to have her make a jacket out of some beautiful fabric I found.
Although I agree, she’s not «cheap», she’s a gem and does beautiful work, and is absolutely worth it.

Although she is NOT cheap, Hildegard is the only person I will trust to repair or fit my collection of lovely, and often very delicate, vintage dresses and coats. She is also know for her custom-​designs: bring her that gorgeous fabric you found on your vacation to Europe two years ago, and she will help you turn it into a beautiful new, one-​of-​a-​kind dress. She does top-​quality work and knows how to handle delicate fabric.

Don’t live anywhere near here — but heard about Hildegard’s talent from a work contact. So I went to her to create the top for my traditional Indian wedding outfit. This was a thoughtful decision on my part — b/​c I only had limited amount of the hand-​stitched fabric from India, so they had to get it right the first time, or I’d be completely out of look. It came out BEAUTIFULLY. Custom made anything isn’t cheap — but it was completely worth it. For getting something more simple, like a hem or taking something in, I think her prices are completely reasonable. I would use her for anything big or small. She’s a gem. She has a good bunch of customers — so she’s not someone to go to for something last minute.
