Marin Collision Center

The overall work and customer service is exceptionally poor given that they’re being referred by MINI of Marin. My MINI Cooper 2010 was rear ended and the bumper needed to be detached, painted, and placed back again. They did an awful job of fixing the bumper back into the right place. As a result the bumper is misaligned and now has a gap between the plastic pieces. The gap is visibly big compared to other MINI Cooper 2010 models. When asked they never offered to take any comparable measurements, let alone fix the issue for me. I had to take the car to MINI of Marin showroom for a measurement and they confirmed that the rear bumper was not placed properly.
The people from the shop are extremely passive-​aggressive and you can never predict what their real intentions are. They’ll tell you they’re taking care of everything while you can only expect them to be blunt or unresponsive when asked questions. They are rude and distastefully unhelpful.
I am never returning to this shop and will be working with another shop to fix the bumper.

These guys are AWESOME! Went in for an estimate. They were very friendly and waited on me right away. I showed the estimator my car and some surface damaged from the moving truck. He had me pull up next to a service bay and they buffed out my surface damage while I waited… FOR NO CHARGE! The guy wouldn’t even take a tip… I’m very impressed with their customer service.

My insurance company (State Farm) referred me to Marin Collision Center after I got into an accident a few weeks ago. I worked with Chris and was extremely impressed by his professionalism. He was friendly and responsive, and kept me updated on every step of the process. In no time, I was back in my beautifully-​repaired car. I would definitely recommend MCC to others and use their services again.

After going to another shop Twice to repair my car with more wrong than right each time I left, I found MCC. They are professional and deliver as promised. The best place to go in the marin/​north bay/​SF area.

This place is AWESOME! I had a hit and run driver dent my door (driver’s side). I had already gone to 3 body shops in the nearby area (all rated 5 starts on Unilocal) and decided I would try one more, one of several recommended by my insurance company. The first three estimates were all very similar ($ 3,000 and 5 days to do the work). Glenn, one of the estimators there, took a look at my door and told me he thought that the dent repair guy they use could fix it for me. He said that the guy would know right away by looking at it if he could satisfactorily do the job. I had the person he recommended come out and am so glad I did. My beautiful Mercedes was repaired in my driveway in one morning, at a cost much, much less than the body repair shops were giving me estimates for. I didn’t even have to report the claim to my insurance company. And my car looks like new. If you need body work done on your car, definitely go here for an estimate. What an honest company!!!

I’m impressed that this shop has so many positive reviews. I took my car in for an estimate on what I thought was minor damage… a fellow gave me an estimate that was thousands more than I expected so I went to a shop in San Rafael — I was right — his estimate was three times that of the shop in San Rafael. There may be many variables here — I don’t know them all — but I can tell you I had a gut reaction to this service estimator’s approach…

In short: Extremely time-​efficient, honest, fair-​prices and did above-​and-​beyond what I asked for.
I came to Marin Collision Center after searching Unilocal far and wide for a reputable repair shop — an area of trepidation for me as I know very little about cars. Chris was warm and efficient. He was able to look at my car almost immediately after which I was able to go back to work (within 10m of arrival on the lot). He emailed me a quote, which I thought was fair and reasonable. Within 48hrs the part had arrived and I drove my car back to Marin Collision. They were finished with the repair (mirror had ripped off) within 1 hr and I picked up the car several hours after I dropped it off. In addition to fixing my mirror (what I paid them to do) they buffed out a few minor scratches on my bumper and helped replace my license plates which had rusted screws making them extremely difficult to take out — all for no charge. I would recommend this place 100%.

Marin Collision’s Chris Hoglund has helped me three different times… one time on my Mini Cooper with body dents and once with a bumper replacement –both were done perfectly. The third job was for a paint touch up on my Prius. He was efficient and more than fair in his estimates. He helped me with a third party who was responsible for one of the sets of damages and facilitated the conversation. All three times the job was done quickly and professionally and the cars looked as good as new.. I highly reocommend this body shop and we have used others in Marin. I now will only go to Marin Collision.

Well my review won’t change much but I had another accident where I got rear ended so I’m coming back to the Marin Collision Center !! They are so helpful and will do an excellent job I am sure !! The best people work here like Angela and Chris.

My car was in a collision and the passenger side was badly damaged. I have always gone to Marin Honda’s Body Shop on Paradise Drive but I live in the San Francisco. My schedule has turned incredibly hectic, and I thought about perhaps trying a new place that was closer to my home. There are lots of body shops in the City, but I am so glad that I stayed with Marin Honda. Glenn McClure took care of me and I’m back in my car. It looks brand new and drives beautifully. Great job! I highly recommend this body shop without any hesitation.

Was rear-​ended on a freak rainy day in June of this year. My vehicle didn’t even have plates assigned yet, so you can bet I was bummed and worried my car wouldn’t ever be the same. USAA recommended Marin Honda Body Shop as did Marin Acura. I later learned that this shop is one of only two Acura «Certified» repair facilities in the Bay Area. Well, being that my Acura now needed some work, I was referred to Glenn McClure, who handled my claim from start to finish. I bombarded him with (probably annoying) requests to ensure that the work would be up to my exacting — and admittedly, in some cases, unreasonable — standards. He didn’t even flinch and delivered on all accounts. Near as I can tell, the vehicle was repaired perfectly. Thank you, Glenn! Highly recommended.

Seriously, I had never had such a pleasant experience at a body shop, ever.
My semi-​exotic aluminum bodied car was damaged, and Marin Honda Body Shop is one of the few in the area certified to perform repairs on aluminum cars.
When I drove into the shop, I noticed a number of exotic aluminum bodied cars: Ferrari 599, Acura NSX, Honda Insight and others which could not be repaired at most other shops.
Due to the severity of the damage, the repair took two months, mostly waiting for parts to arrive. Thanks to their extensive network with salvagers and parts dealers, all authentic parts down to some esoteric parts were located. And the finish: the paint job was arguably equal if not better than factory, and the manager, Steve has the eyes to spot any imperfections which most eyes would not see. The panel alignment was perfect, there was nothing sloppy about the repair work.
During the agony of waiting for the repair to be completed, they kept me informed of the progress on a regular basis via e-​mail, and questions with regards to replacement parts were answered promptly. All the conversations with the insurance company were handled, and I did not have to get involved at all.
In all, a top notch job. Thanks!
