This is my second time staying here and both times I’ve had a great experience Karla from the front desk was very nice and on point with her customer service I appreciate her addressing me by name and I appreciate all the stuff doing such a great job ThankYou

I spent 10 days in the hotel and it felt like home. Friendly staff! Super super clean!
The only thing I didn’t like was the parking fee of $ 22. Too much! 4 stars for that.
By the way, the pictures attached are old, my room was modern and beautiful! I think they are all renovated already!

Looked through many hotels and Chose this hotel for my wedding night. Most expensive hotel I have stayed at but didn’t mind for my wedding night. I asked if I can get strawberries and champagne left in my room. Talked to 3 people on the phone. Saying someone would call or email. Left a voicemail on the for catering. No return. When I checked in (room 512) the night before talked to 2 different employees. Zach and another blond that I didn’t get her name. Said someone would call me. No one did. My grandma went down to complain a third time (6 times in total) and they called me FINALLY the day of and said they could do it. My stay the first night the room was so loud it sounded like water was running through the the pipes like someone was taking a shower next to my room all night. I got 4 hours of sleep the night before my wedding when anywhere else I would have had a rested night. Went down at 5:30 am to complain and that same blond said she would send an engineer right up. An hour and a half later an engineer came he said that it was the ac unit and it the water or coolant going through the pipes. Even with a pillow over my head all night u can still hear it loud. Richi said they would switch my room but I had to do it now at 12:30 pm I couldn’t wait until 2:30 when I asked to do it. So I had to pack all my stuff hair and make up people and move all over stuff in the middle of getting ready. This should not have been an inconvenience for me and what would be the different of 2 hours. It would have still given them time to clean. But I did what they said. They put my in room 212. Sounded a little better in the day but at night when it was quiet at night it was still loud even with a pillow over my head. Since I couldn’t sleep my husband and I turned on the TV and we were only getting channel 3 and 6, which was either Starwoods tv or a horror movie. Not ideal for a wedding night. Called the front desk they said they would send an engineer to fix the tv. And guess what. No one came. Being so aggravated and wanting to just go home I started packing my things and made my husband get up so we could go home where I could get better sleep. Also that night I had put my new diamond necklace that I had just received as my wedding gift on my wedding day. I had put it on the night stand next to the phone. As we were trying to mess with the tv I accidentally layed the channel list over my necklace, I was going to get up in the middle of the night and put it away so I didn’t forget it but I thought, no I’ll remember. With all my frustration that morning of course I forgot. We checked out about 10:30am and again I complained to the manager richi about all the horrible customer service I had and how loud both the rooms were those 2 nights. I had better stays and customer service at hotel that were $ 100 a night. He then only gave me 25% off one of the night stays and cleared both self parking. I wasn’t going to argue anymore and just paid the $ 600 bill so I could leave that place. I went home and at 12:00pm I realized I left my necklace at the hotel. I called richi right away. He said the room was already cleaned and he was on his hands and knees looking for it and it wasn’t there. I triple checked my bags just in case but know for a fact I left it there and I never went back to pick it up. And my husband never grabbed it either I was the only
One that packed up. And glanced over There but didn’t move anything and it was under the list. I also left behind my wedding dress and another dress in the closet and my iPhone charger still plugged in the bedroom. They said they only found the 2 dresses in the room. So I drove back quickly and they gave me the dresses. Said they still didn’t find the necklace. Crying my eyes out from how sentimental that necklace was to me I asked if I can speak to the people that cleaned it. They said I couldn’t talk to the people that cleaned it Nor could I have their names. That only possible thing that could have happened is the cleaners STOLE my necklace… And the charger but I just wanted my necklace back. They said they trust their workers but why Would they come out and say they did in risk of getting in trouble. I’m 200% sure I left it there because I never grabbed it when I left. He said if I think something was stolen I need to file a police report (which I did) but that probably won’t do any good. I would give this hotel a zero stars if I could. I’m going to let as many people as I know. Unilocal and review on every site that the cleaners are theives and rooms are loud and to never stay at this hotel. And by far thee ABSOLUTE WORST customer service I have EVER had anywhere in my 28 years of living. I will never EVER be staying here again neither should you.

A very nice hotel, one that pays attention to detail. The overall service was excellent

Stayed in a pool view room for one night only. Fair price, very clean, convenient location. The king bed was extremely comfortable. Will stay here again in the future.

My honey took me here for my birthday. The staff were really nice. The room was beautiful, white, and modern. Our floor was quiet. The man made lake was nice with the fish and turtles. Only thing I can complain about is the parking situation, it’s 22 a night but they cut that in half for us. Overall I was satisfied with my stay here and would come back.

Charged 3 suspicious deposit charges on my account and said they would be refunded back into my bank account and they all went through. Spoke to 5 different people including 2 managers about this and they all said they would take care of it. It’s been 2 weeks and I still have not received my money back. And when I called today the tried to blame it on my bank… Good luck not getting ripped off if you stay here! Or just don’t stay here it all! Boom.

This is the hotel that my company tends to put me in when I travel to the OC. I like how it looks very modern and luxurious and it’s in a great location as it’s close to a lot of attractions and restaurants. The employees are always friendly and accommodating as well. The person working at the gift shop, Kathy, is also very sweet and I loved chatting with her every morning while I got my coffee from there.
I ordered carryout from their restaurant, Silver Trumpet on one of the nights and everything was tasty. I definitely would not mind getting food from there again. However, it seemed like it took a very long time for me to get my order. Not something major, just something worth noting.
I definitely do not mind continuing to stay at this hotel for the future!

This hotel has a real dirty way to escape making up your room.
We stayed for 5 days and we are quite stunt when we witnessed a trick this hotel play to NOT MAKING UP OUR ROOM: they hooked a «not disturb» sign on our door. By the way we actually collected 3 of those signs. Our room was not being clean for 3 days when we were there.
Management need to know this trick to warn their workers not to use it anymore because as you all know, WE, CUSTOMER, we are not blind not to see that!

Not a threat, just honest and direct feedback…
I chose 1 star because 0 isn’t an option. Terrible customer service. On Feb 9^th I had a confirmed reservation, but when I checked in I was told there was a flood and my room was available. I completely understood. Karla and her team were very apologetic, and I told them I get it, things happen. They did a great job communicating and trying to help solve the problem. Karla offered to book a room for me at a nearby La Quinta which I politely declined since it wasn’t a comparable hotel. She offered a complimentary upgraded room for another night so I accepted the promise of a future upgraded reservation. On Feb 26^th I contacted Karla to cash in on my promised room requesting a reservation for March 9^th (almost two weeks in advance). Karla told me she had to check with her management (which was the first time I learned that she was not in a place of leadership to make good on her promise without higher authority). Long story short, after multiple emails and phone calls, Richie (the highest manager I was able to talk to) declined my «request» for the promised room because there was limited availability for March 9^th. When demand increases, hotel prices increase, and because the rates were so high they were unable to give the room away and unable to honor their promise to me. I was shocked. They had an available room but they would not release it to me because the demand from new guests trumped the demand of an old guest operating on good faith of their promise. Just to test the waters, I asked Richie if I could purchase a room for the 9^th, and he was more than happy to accommodate a reservation for me at a rate of $ 399. Not only was I NOT getting a room that was promised to me, I was invited to get gouged in the process?! Absolutely insulting. Apparently Richie and the leadership at Avenue of the Arts will only honor their promises if/​when it’s convenient for them.

This became a Starwood hotel as of 6 days ago– I changed my reservation from the Westin (another Starwood hotel) next door just to check it out.
Absolutely spectacular hotel experience…& I’m very particular.
Luxury boutique hotel, located just up the street from the largest luxury mall on the west coast, restaurants, ave of the arts, and Corp buildings.
What I love about this hotel is that they understand it’s the small things that truly make the difference. They truly care, about their patrons and their establishment and it shows.
Service was outstanding. Managers, front desk staff, valets– all went above & beyond at every interaction.

We arrived on a Friday afternoon and check-​in wasn’t until 3pm, but our room was available so we were able to check in early. Score! We booked under a group and were there for a wedding so most of the floor was for our family and friends. It was great that they were able to place most of us on the same floor.
This is a great hotel. The lobby looks fresh, modern and remodeled, while the rooms are a little more dated in terms of décor and furniture, but it was a nice stay regardless. The bed was comfortable enough, bathroom was clean and updated. We were a little worried about the construction going on outside of our room, but thankfully the construction stopped late Friday afternoon. WIFI in the room was extremely slow. I had to do a bit of work and it was a struggle to send a few emails! The fitness center is in excellent condition and doesn’t seem like it’s used much. There is a sauna in the fitness center as well, but it didn’t seem like it was warm enough. The business center consists of about 3 – 4 computers, although I didn’t see any way that you could access the browser to visit other sites. The homepage was a bunch of airliners wherein you could print your boarding pass. Self parking is offered, but it’s about $ 22/​night. Highway robbery, I tell yah! A big plus is the complimentary shuttle to and from airport. They leave about every 30 minutes and when you land you just call their number to have them pick you up. This was perfect, because we were really only there to enjoy the wedding festivities at the hotel.
We did have offsite entertainment though! The hotel is walking distance from South Coast Plaza — a luxury shopping center and CVS. It is also about a mile away from Halal Guys and Creamistry.
As a guest of a wedding at these facilities, I was slightly disappointed at where the ceremony was held. The wedding was supposed to be where the construction was happening, but had to be moved as the construction was not finished. It wasn’t terrible, but it was next to a pool at the hotel next door and at some points of the ceremony teenage girls would frolic around the area in bikinis and towels. It was so odd. However, the reception areas made up for it! The reception hall was beautiful. We all had a great time.
Overall, we had a great stay at this hotel. The staff are all very courteous and always made us feel welcome.

Here’s the bottom line: cool lobby, outdated rooms. Expensive parking
The lobby and restaurant is very cool and alluring but when you’re cruising dudes at the bar and make eyes with that fancy gentleman wearing an Armani suit and you wanna take him to your room you’ll feel like you’re f*ckng at a Holiday Inn. I really don’t think it should be a category 5.
But that’s the only negative thing I could possibly say. The doormen are always there to open the door for you and the service is excellent. When you can get a sale for being an SPG member you’ll get a ballar deal. Everything is clean and nice.

Really nice and accommodating staff. Upscale Boutique vibe. I wasn’t overly impressed with the room, which was supposedly one of their premium rooms. I think we had booked on of the their larger rooms on a lower floor, but we were given a smaller room on the top floor, which is still an equal value apparently. Still, four stars because the service was excellent. AACM seems to run like a hotel should.

The Avenue of the Arts Costa Mesa looks like it’s trying to be a classy, swanky OC hotel, but took a wrong turn somewhere and someone’s aunt decided that purple, spray-​painted leater, and animal print were the hottest things right now. Which is a nice way of saying that it’s just a little bit tacky. But hey, if I get a deal, I’ll try most any place once.

I wouldn’t stay here again, but that’s just because there was no «wow» factor for me.

Stayed here with the girlfriend over the weekend (always nice when she finds a good deal!).
DECOR.
Like some bored OC housewife decided she wanted to try to design a ‘classy’ hotel. Lots of purples, tacky white leather, and the odd animal print. Not a great look, IMO.
PARKING.
Ended up costing us $ 22 each night to park our car, which wasn’t the most nor the least that I’ve paid. The hotel is in a weird spot so you can’t really just ‘find’ street parking. They also ‘police’ the lot and put sticker citations on your car every morning if you forget to place the permit in the window.
THE ROOM.
Our room was pretty nice, 2^nd floor but not too loud. Oddest thing were the hardwood floors, never seen a hotel with those before (for the most part).
SERVICES.
Everything here is SO SLOW. The wi-​fi and elevators, specifically — come on, guys, get with the 21^st century.
Nice enough time, but nothing noteworthy here.
Side note — watch out for idiots running across the street whenever you enter/​exit the hotel, saw many idiot kids nearly get hit by other drivers. Crosswalks exist for a reason, people.

Nice, clean, kinda fancy looking hotel in a great location for a low price!
Considering how much we paid for our room, I was pleasantly surprised by the hotel. Parking is $$$ but otherwise, it was a great deal! Lobby and rooms were very nice and the restaurant hotel is a little fancy but delicious. Also love the bar on site. My favorite part is probably the 24 hour room service!!! Why doesn’t this exist anywhere anymore!?! I will say that their gym kinda sucks, but it sufficed.
Would definitely be back, especially if we get another great deal!

well, we are here. Checked into a nice room thanks to Haley’s help. Planned to go to bed early because between family visits we had limited time the next morning to explore the beaches. At 7 p.m. the AC started screeching like a fire alarm. Front desk said they would send engineering. At 11:15 guy showed up (after more calls, lots of «not sure where he is, but sure he is working on emergency» type responses) in our hot as heck room and wedged somthing in a metal grate. Fixed! uhhhhh… really?
At 2:30 a.m., the screeching resumed. We asked for another room (it was not offered) and were put across the hall and told to move our stuff in the morning (by the security guard, staff unavilable?) Thanks, but horrible room, view of concrete pillars and driveway so in the morning asked to move. Got put in another room, next to an ice machine and the storeroom, where three pople were laughing, talking and getting supplies. Uh, no. By now, we have lost two of the four hours we had to ourselves. Got put in another, decent room.
We are now checking out, I noticed zero compensation, called front desk and Chelsea offered a 25.00 food and beverage discount. Guess how much a room service breakfast burrito costs… yep, with all the fees, that 13 dollar burrito is 25.06 plus tip!!! So we were offered a portion of a burrito for our trouble. Sounds about right. Bye, Wyndham, this hotel is an embarrassment to the name. Grimy, disorganized. Though Henrey and the rest of the valets were great, smiling and running to get the car thanks, guys!
P. S. Went to the Silver Trumpet for a romantic dinner. 8:00 on a Sunday night, we were the only ones in the restaurant. Was so lonely and awkward, we asked to be moved to the patio, where there were two tables of people. Big question for an allegedly nice restaurant… where are the people? Lordy, not the evening we were hoping for. Lessons learned.

This hotel not only provides a beautiful room, but the amenities necessary to wind down from a long work day.
During my stay, I discovered an outdoors walking trail around a man-​made lake filled with fish and decorative fountains located just outside the back doors of the hotel. The peaceful area was a pleasure to experience.
The Silver Trumpet Restaurant in the hotel provided an elegant fine dining experience with friendly hosts and servers. I enjoyed the classic Eggs Benedict for breakfast. The hollandaise sauce was freshly made to perfection. They have a bar area around the corner from the restaurant seating with a unique gourmet happy hour menu as well.
The room’s bed during this visit was on the harder side, I would suggest upgrading mattresses to pillow top or other for comfort. Maybe it was just my room.
The tablet provided in the room, which I’m assuming had hotel info on it, wasn’t working. It was fully charged, but read «not bound» with a key icon. I’m still curious about what info was being provided on it.
There is a refrigerator/​bar in the room – be sure to get the key when checking in. Other than that, the room provided comfort, a beautiful view from the 3^rd floor, TV, work desk with plenty of outlets for charging devices, and complimentary coffees, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, soaps, and a Robe hanging in the closet.
The staff here was very helpful and accommodating – thank you!
The hotel is located close to grocery stores and multiple eateries and a few more miles is a huge mall with theater, eateries and other stores. Not in close walking distance. I enjoyed staying here.

I wasn’t particularly impressed by the room. Wear and tear above average and nothing really special. The entrance of the hotel is pretty grand, it has very nice grounds, inc. a small trail around the pond in the back. The ice machine on our floor did not work and the place was taken over by teenage water polo players. Very friendly ones though.
The hotel is super convenient to the South Coast Plaza and there are several good restaurant options in the area. Not really walking friendly, a car is highly recommended.
However, the customer service was great. The staff checking us in was very nice and friendly. We were greeted in a friendly manner every time we walked by the front desk. Two thumbs up for going above and beyond when I asked them to ship some clothes we left behind by accident. Oops!

This «hotel» claims to be a 5 star place but the truth is that it’s lucky it’s even getting 2 stars from me. While they have great black out curtains & quite a comfortable bed, there are more cons than pros.
For starters, most of the staff is misinformed of the proper information. I received multiple different answers on 1 simple questions. Parking is ridiculous! $ 22 a night!!! And their «courtesy» shuttle stops after 10pm so if you have a late flight, you are basically screwed & need to get a cab.
The rooms are mediocre with outlets that don’t work & very thin walls. I was able to hear a full conversation going on in the next room. The fan in my bathroom wouldn’t shut off & 1 of my towels was dirty. Also, the shower drain was not draining properly so by the end of my shower I was standing in dirty soupy water. Also another major problem is that the Internet is slow & useless.
I’ve stayed here several times because my job gets a special rate & they put me up here. Sad to see this hotel declining every time I come back.

This hotel is super cute and has a great area to walk around the lake in the morning.
The front desk rep was real nice and friendly. We checked in and our room was huge. I think we got a disabled room bc we booked last minute through Hotel Tonight App. so it was a good deal too. The room was clean, hardwood floors, fridge, and a seperate area with another TV, a couch and another balcony. I should ask for disabled rooms all the time. jk.
But my daughter took a stroll around the lake in the AM, and across the street was a starbucks. I think Southcoast Plaza is walking distance, but we didnt get a chance to go. I would totally stay here again if the price is right. We paid 120 for a friday night. The computers downstairs arent free to use the web, but they were nice computers. There is a little gym there and a nice restaurant/​bar. Also, in the morning, we saw children in the pool and it sounded like they were having fun. I think in general, this is a nice, hip hotel and super comfortable. It is almost resort-​like. I’d come back.
