Love this place, great for watching sports TV’s everywhere, staff is great, drinks are strong, and best of all it’s within stumbling distance of my apartment…

Been giving this place the side-eye for years. We live a 3-minute walk from here, and I’ve always made this place a punch line with my wife. Naturally, I hadn’t actually been here until Friday happy hour with my coworkers. It’s a perfect dive. Cheaper drinks. Booths with some ripped fabric. Pool tables that may or may not take quarters. GREAT people-watching. Music was all over the map, which isn’t the worst thing ever… one minute you’re fading to black with Metallica, the next minute, Roses Really Smell Like Poo-Poo-ooo So yeah, it’s fun! I would come back, actually. Not sure I’d order any food though, I might save my appetite for ramen across the street.

So my local dive bar closed and we were forced to find a new one. It’s not Perfect but it’s a good replacement for my poor Corner Office RIP. Pretty typical sports bar. The bartenders & waitresses are friendly and the food is actually pretty decent. I’ve enjoyed watching games here.

I worked here for a few years, as a bartender. I’ve loved this place ever since I stopped bartending … I was a regular here for many years. Many of my friends drink here, and I always felt comfortable here. The«new owners» are 21 and 23. They have no bartending experience. It’s a joke. They don’t know the regulars, and can’t handle the responsibility of bartending. I 5hats they both have issues with women, that’s why they want to b so rude and disrespectful to the women that come into the bar. as a regular here for years.

Garfs is a great dive/sports bar. They play the sound to almost every football game throughout different parts of the place. The service can be a little off sometimes, but we’ve never had bad service over the multiple times we’ve been. The have a decent beer selection which we appreciate. The food is the typical bar food, but they do have a good variety to choose from. If you want a no frills place to hang out and watch the game, Garfs is a strong contender.

We live nearby this bar and wanted to try it out. It is a great little dive bar. The food was average but the tater tots were amazing! The only thing that would make this place better would be draft beer, they only serve bottles.

I went in yesterday for Sunday Raider Football. The female blonde older manager was so rude. I will never go back. The service was horrible and the place did not smell well at all

Perfect dive bar, actually good food. Like that was a suprise I was seriously shocked at how good there brautwurst is. Pool tables juke box darts mega touch three large rooms and a smoking patio with heaters. Dive bar at its finest but way worth it… mixed drinks are way over priced though beer and pitchers are cheap only reason why giving the place four instead of five is cause there Mixed drinks and shots are like half the size of everywhere else and more expensive either than that it’s good

I found Garf’s on Unilocal when my father and I were looking for a sports bar to eat at. We read that they had good burgers so we went to check it out. It was a Tuesday night so it wasn’t very packed but on football nights it can get loud and packed. I have been here three times and the food is really delicious, well porpotioned, and a reasonable price. The soft drinks are also very large and only $ 2 not bad. The reason I did not give this place a five star is because the service is not that great and sometimes your left with an empty drink. On busy days I know it’s hard to keep up but they would even look in our direction at times and eventually we had to call them over. They do not offer any desserts on their menu which is not a deal breaker but sometimes I do like dessert after my meal. The bathrooms are very small but I guess that’s a bar for you. Anyway overall it’s not so bad so if your lookin for a good cheeseburger, a game of pool, football and semi loud place for a night out I recommend Garf’s.

Great divey like bar. Multiple pool tables, darts, shuffleboard and good price drinks. Not a bad crowd of people usually either. Minus 1 star for the location for me.

Fun dive bar. Cheap drinks and great cheeseburgers. Pretty friendly crowd. I like to watch football here on Sundays. They also have an outdoor patio.

Fun little partially dive partially happening bar. Sundays are my favorite days there. Had a blast during the week when some friends came into town. I do wish they would clean their pool tables more often, my allergies go crazy because of the dust. Great drink selection, fun bartenders, awesome locals, good prices.

The waiter here was extremely rude. We came in and she immediately asked for our ids. I wasn’t even drinking and she skeptically asked to see my Id. So I reached into my bra and handed it to her. I get that it’s her job to ID but she didn’t need to be rude about it. I will gladly show you my ID. Hopefully she was just having a bad day. We stayed for a little and it just seemed very boring so we left. Don’t think I’ll be coming here again. Thanks but no thanks.

One part dive bar, one part sports bar and one part fun bar. Met some friends from the OC up here for drinks and food. Had a blast. Easy location to find on Bristol in Costa Mesa. Good drink prices and a nice menu with a huge selection of food from salads, to wings, steaks, burgers and more. Friendly wait staff and outside patio. Didn’t feel out of place here since this is a local neighborhood bar. Fun little bar!

Garf’s — where everyone knows your name! This is my neighborhood go-to dive bar. What’s not to love about a dive bar with stiff cocktails, HUGE shots, amazing food, and I could actually crawl home if need be? The staff is great. Lenny and Diane are always so humble and welcoming. Their wait staff seems to change a lot but I’ve never seen anyone that wasn’t friendly and happy! It looks like a typical dive bar, in need of some updating, but that’s what gives it character. There’s been many weekends where I’ve closed down the bar at 2:00 am, then wander back in at 10am the next morning for a greyhound and delicious huevos rancheros. Garf’s– don’t ever change.

Very good, divey, sports, pub, bar with pool tables and a pretty darn good breakfast. Sundays during football season can get a bit crowded but if you’re going to watch the entire game, what’s the hurry? Get there before 10am on game day to get a better seat. Depending on how the games are going, some of the crowd starts to clear out by noon, with many heading out after the morning games are done. Friendly servers, good food, decent prices and very good drinks. If you want a table cloth with your meal, head elsewhere, if you want a good meal for a good price, and then a good cocktail afterwards, give it a try. Enjoy!

I’ve hit up this friendly neighborhood bar a few times and each experience has been a blast. When I planned on hosting a farewell party for a friend and devoted regular — the staff and management were awesome. It’s been a while since stopping in for a cold one and I think it’s time to change that! Only reason for the 4 stars is that the ladies bathroom could use a cleaner scrubbing. Cheers and see you soon! ~ @thatgalkiki

My friends and I came in last Sunday and chose to play some pool in the back. It was 6 bucks an hour before 7 I believe. We ordered a couple of drinks and some dollar tacos. Service was good; our waitress came back from time to time to check up on us and the tacos were decent for $ 1. I definitely wouldn’t have paid more for them though. I’d come back to kick it and watch games.
