Portola Coffee Lab features a Hario V-60 pour-over bar, a halogen syphon (vacuum pot) bar, custom profiled Trifecta brew systems, and the killer pressure-profiling «Slayer» espresso machine that convinces people daily that espresso can be a sweet, rich, non-bitter and delicious beverage enjoyed straight up.
History
Established in 2011.
Portola Coffee Lab is the coffee brain-child of Jeff Duggan. Jeff was a decade-long home coffee roaster that maintained a mad-scientist-like passion for the coffee he created. His roasting became his business. Portola Handcrafted Coffee Roasters was introduced in 2009. Portola provided organic and quality fresh-roasted coffee to the frustrated consumers who’s palates had become too particular for the fast-food coffee shops serving burnt coffee. As great as that was, there was no way for coffee drinkers to truly experience everything each breathtaking coffee had to offer. Out of that need, Portola Coffee Lab was born. Utilizing that uncompromising commitment to quality that Portola embodied when roasting their beans, the Coffee Lab now takes it from the roasted bean to the cup.
