SC Car Zone

I am very pleased with the service I received at SC Car Zone! My husband and I were in the market to purchase a used Ford Edge and there were SO many options that it was overwhelming… all of the prices and features were similar at the different dealerships we researched, and with the internet the way it is these days, most dealerships offer the lowest price they can out of the gate, but after speaking with SC Car Zone, they agreed to drop the price on a specific car I was interested in a few hundred bucks just to earn my business. Smart tactic… a few hundred bucks is a few hundred bucks, and with most things being equal with these cars, I’m going to the dealership that gives me the best deal… and that was SC Car Zone!
Well it only got better from there! We received excellent customer service. The sales guy, Jordan, and the Manager, Mas, allowed us to take our time and decide, while even honoring a few requests I had with the car to help me feel better about my purchase. It really made me feel like they wanted my business and wanted to take care of me as the customer!
Now, the BEST part… after purchasing the car and picking it up from the shop down the street (the car needed a minor alignment adjustment, which SC Car Zone took care of for me) we discovered that there was a screw in one of the tires… a screw that had punctured the tire and was causing a slow leak. My heart immediately sank, worried that they might say I could have picked up the screw driving down the street just then, or that it wasn’t their problem because I had purchased the car and left… but NOPE… they took complete care of me! I even called Freddy (the Customer Care Manager) on his cell phone and he picked up right away (it was after hours by now), talked to me for awhile, and assured me that he would get a hold of Mas and they would take care of it! Totally put my mind at ease. You’re a gem Freddy! And take care of it they certainly did! I came back a few days later and they replaced the tire… and even buffed out some scratches that I hadn’t noticed when I purchased the car.
Customer service doesn’t get better than this people! Really nice, honest guys that truly care about their customers… the kind of place you want to buy a car! Thank you SC Car Zone! :-)

Classy! If I could give this place 6 stars, I would. Mas, Joel and Brad were amazingly pleasant to do business with. No push ones. Didn’t feel pressured into anything. In fact, they worked with my not-​so-​great credit and got me a better deal than I could’ve imagined. Thank you for helping me get my dream car!

So frustrated with the customer service I received here. I came here because of the good Unilocal reviews. But I think I got the run around I’m too busy for this kind of stuff. I found a truck I liked and right of the bat they told me it’s a great truck nothing wrong with it but don’t take my word for it please take it to Toyota and have them take look at it. (At my cost) I agreed I went and purchased an inspection for the truck and found several items wrong a trimming belt gasket leak, and wrong spark plugs installed in the vehicle. when I went back to the dealer and showed the report of the items that need to be addressed they were in disbelief. I did not want to leave them the report since it was something I purchased but I did show them the items to be addressed. Ma’s said he would do the repairs but when I called back two days later the repairs were not done. The manager on site said because I refused to let them have the report I purchased? I would think you would want the vehicle to be safe for me or the next customer but they just want a quick sale! And at the end the manager laughed at the amount I spent at the Toyota dealer to get the truck inspected he said I was ripped off. Even though it was their suggestion.
So please save yourself some aggravation and don’t come here. Also do not buy the blue Tacoma it has a leak and wrong spark plugs I’m sure they won’t tell you!!!

For 3 months i’ve been looking for the perfect vehicle for my husband as a surprise birthday gift. I’m glad i found SC Car Zone!!! Best decision ever made checking them out. I purchased a 2007 Nissan XTERRA with 46K miles for an amazing deal. This car looks and drives as if its brand new!!! They even put new tires and breaks. Joel was the Sales Representative who helped me and i’m beyond blessed. He was honest, helpful and very kind. If your looking for a used car in great conditions this is your dealer. Absolutely satisfied!!!

I hate dealing with cars. I hate buying cars, i hate repairing cars, but i love driving and its important to me to be happy with the car i drive… I recently fell out of love with my BMW and after much debate i had decided that I was either going to refinance my loan or get an entirely new car. After looking at the inventory at all the BMW dealers i decided that i would not purchase another BMW, so i started looking at Infiniti’s and Cadillacs. SC Car zone popped up in my local search, and after comparing their prices to their competitors i realized that the least i could do was go see the cars myself. I was greeted by a friendly staff, i wasnt pressured and never felt rushed and more importantly they had competitive prices. I was quickly qualified for a loan with a much lower APR than i thought i could get. I ended up choosing a black on black infiniti g37. Today is my second day driving my car and let me tell you, i am loving it and it drives so smoothly! The car is immaculate, and is still under manufacturer warranty so that helped me make my decision.

One of the top 2 buying experiences I’ve had in relations to cars. We found the durango we wanted via online searches and this particular one was around 3k below kbb. Figured too good to be true but it ended up being a good clean car, just sat with them for over 2 months so they cut the price and we fell in love with it. The sales guy wasn’t available so Mas took us out for a test drive, wasn’t pushy because we were our way out to dinner with friends. We told him we wanted to finance through our credit union, so we would go home, apply and let him know.
Unfortunately this was saturday of memorial day weekend and my credit union was closed until Tuesday. Since every auto loan ran within 2 weeks of each other is considered one query we called Mas back and asked if he could run our credit in exchange for holding the car. He agreed to do so. I have a great credit score… my hubs not so much… so I’m trying to help him build it by these means. Mas actually found a great rate, but again I told him I wanted to wait and see what my credit union was going to offer. He told us he would give us an option contract because we were putting down more than half. We went on and bought the car Monday morning and all was gravy…
It truely was a 5 star car buying experience until I get a 4 page long text from Mas Tuesday morning turning it into a 4 star car buying experience. The text actually said that he ‘gave me a great rate that my credit union won’t save me much money and that he was just going to put the loan through!’ I was shocked and immediately put him in his place and told him no and that I still wanted to see what my credit union would offer (they award points for loans and you get fees waived and higher savings interest in exchange) and that I still may go with him, just depended. He apologized immediately and said he respected my desicion no matter what but that they just wanted to service us. I totally get that, I do. Because dealerships don’t make money on the lot, they make it in the office. We were good after that little tift.

The ONLY dealer to have the balls to give me the best trade in deal and that is why I went home with my dream care. WIN WIN situation for both of us. I spoke to Jack first over emails and he was on point with the numbers before I stepped into the dealer. Then I spoke to Shane and he smooth things out even more. Then I finally went to the dealer as it was an hour and a half away and came back happy. Thank you Mas General Manager for putting up with me and my friend haha we had a great time. I am sure you will not forget us as it was a great experience. Hope to see you in the near future.

Amazing dealership! What I loved about this dealer was the fact that I was helped right away, everyone was very up front about what was going on with each car I looked at, and the best part was that they were not pushy at all! They were extremely helpful and nice people.
I was looking at two cars and I ended up leaving after looking at both because I wanted to do some research. About 3 days later after looking around and completing my research on the car I was looking at, they gave me a fair price and an awesome bid on my trade in! I was in and out within 25 min… incredible customer service and will definitely buy my next car from them!

My husband just bought 2013 Evo and the sales person is very friendly. They don’t B.S. around or pressure you. It is what it is but with professional manner. They also taught us something new about buying and trading. Steps by steps of how and why our monthly payment is before buying.

Everyone that I worked with or asked a question to at this dealership was such a sweetheart and genuinely wanted to answer my questions. Jack and Mas were the two people I worked closely with and both were great. Neither tried to force me in to anything, ALL of my questions were answered, and they truly told me the facts.
I even brought my dad and mom along to make sure I wasn’t going to be made a fool of.
My interest rate is high because I’m a student and first time car loaner but I’m so happy with my car and how everything went. This is a small lot because they have a buyer that they use. But each car is so nice. I recommend to anyone in the OC or SD areas!!!

I tried hard to prove this dealership wrong and it was impossible to do with the deal they presented in front of me. Best pre owned vehicle I’ve bought so far. 2011 Lincoln MKX fully loaded with Elite Package. And guess what? Only 28,800 miles. I showed up on August 3^rd to check out the car after seeing it on Autotrader. Met Shane from Sales and he showed me the few MKXs on the lot. He answered all of my questions and was very friendly and not pushy at all. I went home to gather my research and comparison with other dealers. Their sale prices are reasonably competitive. I came in the following weekend to do a full detailed inspection and the car I wanted was super clean just like they advertised. The only issue I could find was a missing tire valve cover. No big deal. Within 15 minutes negotiating with Mas, I got a fair deal on my trade, locked in a low interest rate (at 3.5% it’s the highest I’ve had even with my excellent credit), and shook hands. Easy. I liked how Mas shows his calculations of the negotiation on his computer screen. There’s no confusing quad chart that those big dealerships use to make you think you’re getting a great deal when you’re really not. Good style Mas!
They detailed my car and it looked better than new. No joke. Engine bay was cleaned and polished. Even the carpets were washed and wrapped. They sell, service, and detail right on their lot!
The thing about this dealership is that they give you their attention. Coming back on different days, you get to work with the same sales guy who already knows you and your requirements. Keep in touch with text messages and call anytime.

I had a great experience buying my first used car here just a few weeks ago.
MORGAN was the salesman and he was extremely knowledgeable, courteous, and non-​pushy. I went to other dealerships prior and was tired of dealing with salesmen who didn’t know the vehicles very well or were pushing me to buy. I was very happy with Morgan. Plus, he was extremely quick with responding back to me whenever I emailed him a question.
MAS dealt with the financial stuff, and it was a very quick and easy process. When I tried to ask for a lower price and showed him comparables, Mas was very good at showing me the differences between the comparables and how their car is the best price. Once we decided to buy, my husband and I were in and out the door within 30 minutes.
Loved my car! I recommend SC Car Zone!

I got an email from Sue offering cash for my 2010 Subaru. I explained to Sue the condition of my car and tires. I was out of town on business and told them I would come up the following weekend (1 hour drive from Oceanside). Over the course of a week I got several emails urging me to bring my car up as soon as possible as they had a buyer waiting for my vehicle.
I got home from my trip a day early and drove my car up the same day. When I arrived I had three car salesman come out of the office and head out to my vehicle. Immediately the salesman started looking at my cars tires shaking their heads. After a few minutes they came up to me explaining how my tires needed changing and how they could not make money off of my car with tires like that. I explained that the condition of the tires was disclosed multiple times over email.
The Salesman started in with the price cutting saying I would need to drop the price 600 – 700 for the tires. When I refused they salesman continued to make it seem like I lied to them even though it was all disclosed prior. Turns out there was never any buyer these guys were just being shady.
I guess it goes to show if it feels too good to be true it probably is. Avoid this place unless you enjoy being taken advantage of by slimy salesmen.
To top it off after I emailed them and said I would be sure to share my experience online Sue began texting me to say it was her fault not the companies and I should not leave a review…

So the story began browsing trucar for vehicles in my 20,000 $ budget. I found a very nice camaro at this location. I exchanged emails all day with Morgan, the salesman. Made an appt to be there at 5. The car was pulled out and ready when I got there. We did the rest drive and I loved it.
I also brought in my 2008 smart car which was in excellent condition and 55k miles. I previously went I to carmax and had it appraised for 4500 $. I came prepared to put down 2500 – 3000 down payment or a trade of my smart. I was told my smart shifted funny and had engine noise. Admittedly the manager brad stated they were no expert on Mercedes made smart cars but guess what, I was and so was the Mercedes dealership that sold it to me.
Anyhow, a smart car has the type of transmission where it shifts as a manual but is automatic. It’s how it saves room in the tiny compartment behind the drivers seat where the engine is. Of course this was used as a way to low ball me to I told him I would gladly take it back to carmax and sell it. Bring the check back and the down payment would be a done deal.
Now, here is where the financing issue comes in. I do not have good credit due to hard times and had a repo. Fine. I didn’t need a lecture from him. I brought my boyfriend in with me that was going to co sign for me. Which he did. We signed the paper work at a 11% interest rate. Told us they would be in contact when they found a bank for us. Odd right? Fine. Let’s go
Fast forward to 3 days later when a call from brad said I need to bring the car back or have my man sign for the loan alone. I told him no, not interested in that. I wanted to be on the loan to build my credit. I told him carmax has already approved me alone but I preferred the camaro over the stock I was presented with. He insisted carmax lied to me
I took the car back which was on empty due to leaving with the car with a ¼ of gas to begin with. I went to car max an hour after, bought a 2013 mustang at 3% finance with my co signer. Guess what bank? Wells Fargo. Which was a bank mr brad said would never touch me.
Save your time money and frustration. GO TO CARMAX. no haggle and completely fair.

I have to give these guys 5 stars because 6 was not an option. They had the car I wanted at the best rate in the country.
I was out of the country at the time and had to buy the car without seeing it. They took care of all of the paperwork, made the modifications I wanted and picked my family up at the airport.
Big props to Morgan, Shane and Mas. True professionals who made buying a car painless and enjoyable.

This review is for Mas Panah, the General Sales Manager. We were on the fence between the Ford Flex and a Ford Explorer. We live close by and recently purchased a car here for my son. My wife and I test drove the Flex and fell in love.
We shopped around everywhere and spoke with multiple salesmen before reaching out to Mas. By then we were already exhausted by the back and forths, the bait and switches, and the games. Mas, like our previous experience was a breath of fresh air: no nonsense and gave us by far the best deal right away.
He also found the exact car we wanted! Mas gave us an even better deal when we came by to finalize the paperwork and take delivery of the car. Mas, Ray and Brad were professional throughout the experience; I felt safe and guided. The process was completely smooth and painless.
I always fear going into dealerships – the reputation of the hard-​sell salesmen and their sliminess always puts me on high alert and honestly it’s the most uncomfortable process in getting a new car.
Thankfully, now I have SC Car Zone as my trusted dealership and Mas will be my salesman as long he chooses this profession.
Definitely the best dealership I’ve visited, I’ve been to many franchise dealers and SC Car Zone is by far the most up front dealer and offers the most painless car buying experience. Every staff member is always sure to smile and inquire if I needed anything – every single one. I never felt ignored, not for one second.
My willingness to buy my second vehicle and the following to come should be a testament to the service I received.
