A Groupon is a good way to go with this place, especially for three people. Two people is too few unless you have big appetites because you have to order $ 25 or more of food in order to use the Groupon. It’s rather small, by the way, with only three bar style tables and two long counters(you order at the register and pick up when called), but it;s just fine for a casual, quick meal. Enchiladas are ok — a little too much cheese with not enough chicken, and they were basically rolled large soft tacos with sauce over them rather than the traditional baked casserole style enchilada dish. Good by I like my enchiladas done old school style. Flavor was good, though, and I asked for veggies instead of beans which they accommodated with a very nice portion of sautéed red and green bell peppers and squash. The guacamole and their salsas are fresh and tasty, the chips light and crisp. My friend’s taco was very good, and the burrito gordo was also very good — and large. It’s not my favorite place but it’s a handy local place and was good enough that I’ll go back for the guacamole and to try something else on the menu.

Was in this shopping center(parking is a nightmare) running an errand and really wanted a bean and cheese burrito. My absolute favorite place is Las Golondrinas but there is not one in the area. It was tasty and the chips were hot and fresh. They give some to you when you place your order. It is a small place with red seat stools and you can watch them prepare your food while watching TV. After reading some of the reviews I am hoping I do not have any«issues». I am not sure I will come back but maybe if I had a craving to try something else.

I stopped by last night for a quick dinner before meeting up with friends nearby. I went to the shopping center because Unilocal listed a Chinese food place in there which is now gone and turned into a Flame Broiler. I was bummed because I was craving Chinese food, but decided that the parking gods were in my favor as there were several spots open right out front and that like never happens in this center. I am SOGLAD I DID! I got a Cancun burrito and it was delish. This may sound silly, but their black beans are just BETTER than pretty much anywhere else I can think of and certainly better than anyone’s beans in the same price range. And the beans can often make or break a burrito. The chicken was char-grilled and tasty and I was impressed that my to go bag had napkins and utensils. ANDCHIPS. FREECHIPS! I know it is sad to cheer about free chips, but so many places just seemed to cut them out and make you pay for them. But here were some tasty fresh and crispy white corn tortilla chips. I grabbed some salsa(nice variety guys!) and left. Since I go see these friends weekly, I will be stopping back by more often. I barely paid more than I would have at a «regular fast food place» and yet it didn’t taste like fast food. The guys there were also super nice and the place was clean.

UCI students and employees. listen up! 50% your order with a purchase of a drink. BUT you need to show your ID. The food comes out so cheap, especially for good-portioned, good –tasting food! The establishment is a little bit on the smaller side, but the service is so fast that people are in and out, fast. The parking gets a little difficult as the lot is not very well structured, and there is no left turn out of the parking lot(toward Bristol), but you can definitely go around the Lexus dealership PS: I don’t believe they serve alcohol.

Stopped by here on my apparently endless search for a good breakfast burrito… «Meh. I’ve had better.» First of all, it was super tiny. A good breakfast burrito should be hearty, to say the least. There was hardly any meat, little egg, and the tortilla was overwhelming. It seemed as if they tried to make up for the lack of protein by adding tortilla chips at the bottom of the bag — sorry, had enough of that wrapped around my burrito! The salsa was bland, and only made the giant tortilla burrito soggy. I was sad the burrito was not better… I really was looking forward to finding a good one. It can’t be that hard, people!

Randomly stopped in to stop the hunger headache, happily surprised by yummy tacos. Mild Salsa was so yummy I was eating with a spoon like gazpacho while waiting for my food. Piggy I know but I was starving. But wait don’t go in the bathroom. It was so stinky I almost(don’t need too much imagination to fill in this blank). Some aroma therapy could have upped the star ratio.

I used to come here in high school alot and really liked the food. I stopped by here with my BF on the way home and saw they now have a happy hour daily that is from 3 – 6. Everything on it was $ 1 which consisted of street tacos, crispy tacos, bite size quesadillas, drinks and a 4 oz cup of guacamole and chips. Very good prices from what you receive. I ordered 2 crispy tacos with beans but unfortunately you cant make any substitutions and instead of the tacos only being a dollar they charged me full price which was a little lame. They should accommodate vegetarians. We also ordered the quesadillas and guacamole and they were delicious. We also got free chips and salsa during happy hour. Also the tacos came with a little side salad which is always a nice touch. I really enjoy the food here and besides the no substituting rule for their happy hour it is a great deal. — — — I went with two crispy tacos — one steak, one chicken. They were filled with lettuce, pico de gallo, and cheese. The steak was the better of the two because the chicken was dark meat and I’m not the biggest fan of dark meat. For a buck each, they were definitely a good deal. The guac was tasty and seemed very fresh. I didn’t find a salsa from their salsa bar that I loved but they were all decent. Overall, Tacos & Co’s HH is a great deal if you’re in the area. The total of our meal was under 10 bucks which is hard to beat.

Great tasting tortas, which are like Mexican sandwiches. Prices haven’t changed too drastically since my college days. Salsas are a must, even though I’m not a fan of salsa in general. The place can get pretty busy during lunch hours.

I thought this place had great prices for the amount of food you get. They prepare your food right in front of you, plus they’ve got a variety of salsas for you to choose. There are lots of menu items and their breakfasts are especially delicious(and cheap!). You can take a whole variety of OCTA buses to get here: lines 51, 55, 57, 76, 145, and 173 all conveniently stop by.

My resolution to brown-bag it hasn’t been going too well this week. Again I was at work without a lunch, so I decided to drive over to this shopping center at the corner of Bristol and Sunflower and pick up something to eat. This center is undergoing some major reconstruction, but everything is still open. Parking was really tough at noon. I had to drive around for a few minutes before finding a space near Ross. When I got out of the car, a man wandered by me selling strawberries. Hmmm… you don’t see that every day next to South Coast Plaza. While the service at this Tacos & Co is very good, the food never seems as good as at the location on Jamboree a few miles away. I ordered my lunch, and then recognized an acquaintance and went over to talk to her. Meanwhile, my meal was brought over to me in a to-go bag complete with napkins and utensils, and the man even held the bag open for me to put my salsa containers inside. I ordered a grilled fish taco with a side of rice and beans and a small beverage. My total bill came to $ 5.49, and I was amazed by how much food I got for that small price. I’m glad I didn’t order two tacos because the tacos are really big! They also gave me a little salad and some tortilla chips. The fish was okay, but tasted a little on the fishy side. I was dismayed to find an escaped piece of chicken skin inside my taco. I’m glad I opened the taco up first, so I was able to discard the piece of someone elses lunch before I ate mine. I enjoyed the rest of the food, and I was very full afterward. I would have gone over to Icepan in the same center for a frozen treat, but alas, the space it once occupied now appears vacant. Oh well, I’m sure my wallet and my waistline were grateful.

I went in and ordered a Taco California with steak and a shrimp taco. I paid $ 5.40 or something and they accepted my debit card no problem. The service was quick for a noon lunch. I found my shrimp to be a little salty but they had put so much shrimp into the taco, I didn’t mind too much. It also came with a tiny salad and some chips. It wasn’t gourmet but it was good for a quick, inexpensive lunch.
