Christy Sports Ski & Snowboard

Had a small group driving up for 2 days of skiing. Decided to reserve online a few hours before arriving since we were going to arrive (hopefully) just before closing and we wanted a full day of skiing the next day. Arrived with about 15 minutes to spare and we were quickly fitted with the equipment we needed. Pleasant experience.

I’ve rented from these good people for years and will never rent anywhere else. Right at the base area with a bunch of good help that’ll fix or do anything for you right there. Their equipment is always the best in the mountain and their prices are excellent. I recommend Christies over any of the other ski shops on the mountain.

While visiting crested butte this time, I decided to demo a new snowboard and stopped by Christy sports too discuss options. They sent me downstairs to their board shop run by a fellow named Nick. In no time at all, Nick assessed my needs and set me up with a new board and binding combo to demo for the day. The board, as Nick suggested, was excellent. I came in later that day and bought the exact board and bindings thanks to Nick’s counsel and advice. While ski shops tend to be pretty similar, Nick made this one stand out. I was totally impressed by Nick’s product expertise, non-​pushy style, demeanor and professionalism. Not only did he provide me with excellent service, but when browsing the store, I was impressed by how he handled other customers, including a kid who was picking up a new board. Thanks for the help Nick and for yet another positive experience to add to the list while visiting a fine ski town called CB.

This used to be our go-​to place for ski rentals. Not any more.
The season rental price increased over 33% compared to last season. The quality of service has declined considerably and the staff was very unknowledgable about there product offerings.
