Mother of Pearl has been in business as a retail store since 1993. We pride ourselves on the products we offer. Not only do we offer product from the leading makers around the world and here in the US but have our own lines that are hand made from cast iron and cast brass.

We offer custom finishing in both metals and are sort after by discriminating home owners and interior decorators who are looking for discerning cabinet hardware for their furniture and interior cabinets.

History

Established in 1989.

The business was started in Australia and we opened in Los Angeles in 1989 working out of a garage. As business picked up we moved to our present location in 1993. Over the years we have expanded the number of suppliers and quality of our product. We are direct importers of hardware but also buy from local sources. We do act in a designer capacity when customers request our help. Do installations if needed & keep expanding our customer service.

As the owner of MOP I keep an active interest in the design of home interiors. I am very detail specific & like to see house remodels done correctly. I believe that Door and Cabinet hardware is home jewelery. If done with thought & creativity it sets a fine standard for the homes owner. Over the years in business I have kept learning and trying to improve my skills in an ever changing market.
