The Queen Latifah Show is the best thing I have found to do in sobriety. I go by myself no weirdos people not loaded just having clean fun. I go like 2xs a month

Did Not have a good experience. 1Iota booked their audience and I got priority tickets. I took my friend, drove all the way there, arrived BEFORE the time suggested on the tickets and waited in line Forever, even with«priority.» Parking was almost impossible to find in that tunnel and the line was super long which told me they drastically overbooked. Anyway, we waited in cold, got to the front and we’re told they’re full, not taking in any more people. I was so upset that we’d taken off work and wasted this time. It’s messed up to do people like this especially in an «oh well» nonchalant attitude. Because we were ‘priority’ they had us write down our information to contact us about coming to another taping. A promise they never followed through with. Well, enjoy it I think the show just got cancelled.

I have been to a few tv show tapings in LA& Atlanta, and I must say I really enjoyed The Queen Latifah Show. To be honest I did not want to go, my sister and I were going because my mom wanted to go. My mom was in town from Atlanta, so we gave in, and went to the taping. In the holding room we took pictures with the cutout of Queen Latifah in front of the step and repeat. Once inside we were placed in the center above the tv. Bridgette did a wonderful job keeping us entertained, and she passed out candy to us several times. We also found out we were actually filming 2 episodes, which was okay because the first episode was short. We actually received prizes from both shows a candle, and a Target gift card. I enjoyed the guests on both shows, but I really enjoyed how genuine Queen Latifah was. I love when celebrities are down to earth, and interact. I would definitely go back to the show as this was a wonderful experience!

Having a blast with Maggie and the crew is polite and nice. I wish Queen Latifah would sing Poetry Man who I lived Phoebe Snows version however Ms. Queen kills it and it takes me to my special place…

The Queen is SONICE! This was one of the best show experiences ever! We got there super early because we had nothing better to do and we had priority seating. Make sure you get there early if you want a seat while you wait. Unlike other guests, there wasn’t any coconut water or snacks available. We did have a fun time taking selfies and seeing them in the screen. We were also able to watch a few episodes while we waited. Out of all the shows I’ve been to, Queen had the nicest VIP seating area. Tips: Get priority seating Get there early Bring snacks Pee when they allow you Have fun!

Check-in time starts at 11am. Parking gate opens at 10am. When you drive into the parking structure, you will see Visitor information booth on your left hand side and it is also where the check-in area is. There are limited seating area(benches) so come early! During the check-in time, you will fill out consent form and the staffs will scan your tickets. After that they will issue you a number card which is the order when you go in the studio. The staffs will determine where you sit. After leaving the parking structure, you will need to walk a few minutes to the studio. There is waiting area where you can sit down for water, buying merchandise and taking pictures. They highly encourage people to take pictures and post on social media. They LOVE the publicity! When it is time to go in the set, the staffs will call out the numbers. YES, you can take pictures of the set! They love our selfie and hashtag & tweet about the show~ While you are waiting, the amazing Bridgette totally works the crowd! She is a stand up comedian, super funny! The whole production is very organized. Now let’s talk about the QUEEN! I have been to many TV show taping, she is one of the few TV host who would take time to acknowledge, shake hands, even small chat with the audience. She is so humble, friendly and personal! That is why she has many loyal fans to come to her show. The taping finishes around 3pm. FYI, there is no lunch break so eat something before the taping. All the audience go home with a new book &CD. Definitely a fun adventure~ The Parking: Sony studio parking structure(free)

I absolutely enjoyed myself today at the taping. The only thing was we got to the priority line 4 mins late because of parking. So don’t get mad if you get there after 11 and u have to switch to the general admission line. You are taken to the waiting room where you can chill, eat and take pics, etc. Everything was great! Bridegette the comedian and crowd hype woman was friggin awesome and hilarious. My friend and I enjoyed the first taping so we had the chance to stay for the second! Queen Latifah is so nice and she even took selfies with the audience. Overall I had a great time and I would do it again!

I was a model for a fashion segment on the show a couple months back. Great set to be on! Very fun and light hearted atmosphere. Kelsey who coordinated everything for our segment was great and a total sweetheart throughout the whole thing. The crew is really nice. And Queen Latifah herself was just awesome. Super sweet and lively woman. She was totally cool about taking pics with my friend who started crying in front of her ’cause she was so happy to meet her idol. Lol. Good times.

Queen Latifah is cool but the show is boring. Majority of her guests are boring. I MUCH rather watch the Bethany show way more entertaining and funny or even I love lucy lol. Don’t see this show lasting

I attended the show on Monday, November 4, 2013. I was told to check in by 11: am because I had priority seating. The check was fast. I checked in and was told to get in line for they can walk us to the studio and the escort said it was a very short walk. I thought he was going to walk us to the studio right next to the parking lot. Geez, it wasn’t a short walk, it was a mini marathon. We walked an equivalent to two blocks. I had my mother with me who is in her 70’s with bad knees! If I would have known it was that far, I would have ask to have a cart to taker her to the studio. So, we finally get inside the waiting area around noon time. Lots of people were coming in way after us. But I thought we were ok cause we had gold bands(priority seats). I just figure we would be the first to be seated. Boy was I wrong, people who came way after me were standing in the front and were able to get seated first in the studio! what tha? We were finally seated around 1:00. The warm up lady name Bridget came out and she warm us up for about an hour(which is way too long) and during that time the producer had the audience to various clapping, laughing and clapping with laughing tapes for about eight times. I notice people were getting bored and restless and QL hasn’t even came out yet. Bridget told us that Queen Latifah will have a wardrobe change for she can tape a segment with Vince Vaugh. Queen finally came out around 2 and tape her show as normal. She is a lovely looking woman, she looks great! The taping went well but then she had to change her clothes to do the bit with Vince Vaugh(which was aired at another time). We waited for at least an hour for her to change her clothes. People were getting up leaving. I am sure they were tired and hungry because many of us were there before 11:00. QL finally comes out around 3ish to do the taping. We finally got out of studio at 4:30! I love Queen Latifah as a person but I will never attend her taping again. It’s a very LONG day and disorganized and there is no way to eat. I was there all day(with my Mom and Aunt) and we were famish afterwards. Also if you have priority seating, it doesn’t mean a thing! If I had any idea that I would have been there all day, I would have been better prepared! I though the staff or whomever could have provided sandwiches or something to the audience for staying that long. I have been to another talk show taping many times and I must say it is very organized. QL producers need to take notes. After all this, I wish her show much success!

My husband and I recently went to see the show, it was great and tiring at the same time. And, I’ll let you know what to expect. You arrive and park your car. You wait in one line outside, we waited close to an hour. We proceeded to go through security and wait in another line outside for another hour. Your then directed to walk a few blocks where you will wait again. It is a room with seating for 10 people or so with water and coconut water. We waited a long time! Too long! And yes, in this room, you can take photos with a queen cut-out and pay 20 dollars or more to make a video and also play on laptops and upload live photos. So now, you wait to go on into the actual set where you will wait again. The workers promised all of us a time that we could take photos of the Queen, that never happened. It’s assigned seating, from what I saw, women up front were single, thin women. I was surprised how these women came alone like it was a job for them. I see the blonde girl with a ponytail hair style in a lot of the shows, her hair, not face. Queen Latifah is a genuine person, she seems to be the kind of person to give you the shirt off her back. She is kind and sincere and if the producers didn’t control her so much, she’d be chatting with all audience members! Bridget is hilarious, she reminds me of Jenny Macarthy, I think that’s her name, the ex-playboy model. Just full of life, funny, dramatic and raw! She did the splits right in front of my husband, that was totally over the top funny, danced crazy with several audience members, sang with them. I hope the Queen never replaces her, she is amazing! It truly felt like a job, after everything, they tell you, there’s a table to buy memorabilia. … not true. And yes, we got free CDs, copyright 2009. So, wasn’t anything significant. So, you basically walk out and go home. As hard as the audience works, they shouldve been compensated with something, even just a signed photograph of the Queen. Giving the audience some kind of token of appreciation would have made it perfect. For me, I don’t care to go again. Too much waiting! But hey, I was on TV and I got a close up and a few other times from a distance. So that was exciting! However, it is a must see for those of you who haven’t been. Going to see The Talk tomorrow, I wonder how it’ll compare?

So in the morning the people there are so nice to you. You get checked in and go through security. You think the taping is at the building you parked yet they walk you a few blocks down the road(wear comfortable shoes) You are taken to an area where you are able to use the bathroom(go while you can, it’s the only one) then you have to get escorted to get through the studio. Small groups at a time. You are then in a cramped room where they have refreshments and drinks(first come first serve. they ran out of drinks) in the meantime you can go on a laptop… pay money to make a video… take a pic with a cut out of latifah. and wait…(we got there at 10am. by the time they started seating it was close to 1pm) There was also camera men there to tape snippets for shows. doing interviews with guests(I was too chicken to do it) So it was time to sit right? Me and my friend lagged behind just KNOWING we got gaurunteed seating because of our gold bands(there are paid people… gold and silver bands) WRONG!!! by the time we got up to the front of the line they told us they were full and they could squeeze us in later. .WHAT!!! bridgette the hype woman was working the crowd and we were getting a little pissed… suddenly a worker asked who had gold bands. Me, my friend and like a dozen other people raised their hands. They took out all the people with SILVER bands and seated us!!! What a relief!(Note to self. always try to get gold bands. idk how my friend did it but I am glad he did) From then on the show was great… full of forced laughter. .clapping…and me personally, awe of how beautiful Latifah looked in person. Bridgette is a fool but very nice. The tshirts they hand out look like they would only fit a preteen girl(thought they would be bigger since latifah is plus sized) they are strict about cameras and the cameramen were constantly in people’s faces getting reactions to the interviews.(So dress nice!!!) We got a free cd from a chick no one knew who performed. Parking was free and valet… just tip those poor guys. They were super nice. Next time maybe I will have the courage to hug Latifah…

I went to a taping here on a Thursday afternoon. I’ve been to a few different tapings of various shows, with this being my first at Sony. I felt the check-in was slightly confusing and chaotic, with various lines that weren’t clearly marked. Nevertheless, I was able to check in quickly and get through security to wait to be taken in to the studio. I appreciated that we didn’t have to wait outside for too long, whereas other shows keep you outside in the hot(or cold) for a LONG time. I don’t think we were outside for more than 30 minutes. Once taken inside, the initial waiting room for Queen Latifah is relaxing and luxurious, as if you’re at a cocktail party. There is a step and repeat for fans to take pictures with a lifesize cardboard cutout. They also passed out complimentary snacks(brownie brittle) and coconut water. That was a nice touch! We waited in this lounge type room for maybe another 30 minutes. One great thing about this show is that they do NOT make you leave your cell phones in the car, as other shows do. In fact, you don’t even have to turn them off until you are in the actual studio, in your seats! They actually encourage guests to be on their phones in the lounge outside the studio so that you can use social media to promote the show. They want audience members taking pictures, having a fun time, checking in on social media, etc — and I think that’s a great win-win for all! When you are brought into the studio and seated, you have several minutes to take pictures of the set before they ask everyone to turn off their phones. There is an MC who entertains the audience before the show begins. She tells jokes, talks to people in the audience, and they even play a funny game where audience members are on camera and you have to do something silly when you see your face come up on the big screen(this part is not recorded or televised, just a funny game to play while waiting for the show to begin). Waiting in the studio took FOREVER. We waited… and waited… and waited… and waited. I am very thankful that the longest portion of the day we had to wait was while we were seated, otherwise I would have some very sore feet. The particular taping I went to wasn’t for a full show. Some celebrity interviews had already been taped, as well as a musical performance. So we didn’t see a full show from start to finish, just various celebrity interviews — and the various segments during our taping were to be used for a couple of different shows to air on TV. That was fine, though, because we got to see a little bit from multiple shows instead of the whole thing from just one. I arrived around 2 or 2:30PM, and got out of the taping right before 7PM. So it really was an all day commitment. I think the morning tapings might be quicker. The duration of this particular taping was also lengthened due to them taping the segments for multiple shows, because Queen Latifah had to do a wardrobe change for the 2 different shows and there was a LONG wait in between segments for one show and the segments for the other show. The MC tried to keep us entertained during that time, but people were definitely getting a little tired and bored during the waiting. I should also mention that Queen Latifah herself seemed to be one of the nicer talk show hosts I’ve gone to see, in that she actually talked to some of the audience members, shook hands with the ones closest to her, and seemed to be graceful and genuinely caring about her fans. The MC also talks to lots of audience members so there’s an opportunity for interaction there as well. Although there weren’t any give aways during the show I went to, I have heard from others that they have gotten some free items by being in the audience. I definitely plan to go back to another one of her tapings and would recommend this to others as well — just be prepared to spend a lengthy amount of time there because you never know what they have in store!

I went today and arrived by 11:00 am as my ticket said but could’ve gotten there by 11:30 and still would be OK. I’ll start out by saying this was a LONG day. Bring plenty of your own snacks to keep you fueled throughout the time you are there. What I do like is that they allow cameras, iPads, cell phones and your own water. This is the only show I’ve been on thus far that allows each of these items! We didn’t get into the studio until 1pm, but the audience holding area was really nice, they just needed more seating. It was so nice that they provided water, coconut water, chocolate candies and laptops to hop on! You can also take a photo at the step and repeat along with a cardboard version of Queen Latifah. They give the first group gold bracelets when you arrive and the second silver. There was no rhyme or reason to the line, so even if you get there first doesn’t mean you will be seated first or in front. The dress code is lenient and doesn’t follow what it says on the ticket — no red, black or grays, yet there were many people who wore that! Overall, Queen Latifah has a great show, but it runs a little long. The set is amazing!! I will go back again and be a little more prepared.

I know this review is going to confuse people. The 5 stars above are FORTHESHOW, I think The Queen Latifah Show is excellent and I love the format. The set is STUNNING and so is Dana Owens. I strongly suggest you watch her show. Now if you want to be in the audience which is how I checked into the show, there are some things you should know. First of all tickets are FREE. You can request them online by going to their website. The next thing you need to know is that it’s going to be a VERY long day. We were told to arrive at the latest by 11am which we did. Having gone to other shows, I was excited to find that Sony Studios doesn’t have you wait in the sun and they had some seating available. But you will be waiting for a long time. You can not go on the studio lot without an escort which means using a bathroom becomes a HUGE issue. So find a bathroom in the neighborhood before you get in line. Wear comfortable shoes, because you may be standing in line from 11:30 until 12:30. You must sign a waiver and they will check you in. Then you will get escorted onto the studio lot and to the sound stage. There will be a stop on the way for a bathroom USEIT, once you are in the sound stage it becomes a HUGE issue again. They tape through lunch time(and in our case into dinner time), so bring along snacks and/or easy food, like a PB&J. We did not eat before we went and we didn’t leave the studio until 5:30, we were exhausted and starving by that time. You can’t eat while they are fiming, but because this show isn’t live you will have many opportunities to eat between takes. Again, you will not be allowed up and out of your seat to use the bathroom at your discretion. You have to ask for permission and then you have to wait for a break in taping and there has to be an escort available AND a seat filler. The staff at the show either do not know what the schedule is going to be or they are going to lie through their teeth. We were given a different version of how long we were going to be there every 20 minutes or so. We were told when our tickets were issued that we need to arrive by 11am, that the taping goes on from 1 – 2:30 and then we are free to go. We entered the waiting lounge around 12:30. This place is air conditioned and has minimal seating. They will offer you very small bottles of water and a snack. Then you stand around and wait to be taken in small groups at a time. We were seated around 1 something. Once seated they have someone that gets you pumped up. This is where we met Bridget. A local stand up comedian that kept us pumped up and entertained in between takes. She is AMAZING and worth spending time with. If it wasn’t for her we wouldn’t have been able to keep smiling and clapping and laughing(on cue). But we were confinded to our seats for the rest of the day. At 3:00 they told people who had children and/or emergencies that they could leave, the rest of us were told they needed us for just a couple more items to please stay. By 4:00 we were told that we would be given a complete break and then we would have 2 more items to tape. THISNEVERHAPPENED. We were stuck in our seats from around 2:00 to 5:00. It was exhausting. The whole time you are in your seats you are acting. They tell you how to react and what you should be doing because you are on camera. Oh yeah Ladies, I should tell you now do not go to this show without makeup and your hair done. This show pans the audience ALLTHETIME, you WILL be on TV. When we finally were excused to leave we were handed a chocolate covered apple, a CD and a slip of paper with a code on it to use to download an artist’s song. Now if you ask me would I do this again, the answer is yes, but only if I could go prepared. I would make sure I took advantage of every bathroom break offered and I would definitely bring food along and make sure that I have the entire day at my disposal. Also I know not to believe a word the staffers say. They get paid to fill the seats and keep them filled. They can’t have empty seats during the taping and they will do this at YOUR expense. The great part is getting to see Queen Latifah in person, she is a powerhouse and a sweetheart at the same time, and it was an honor to be in her company. Her guests were a lot of fun and everyone was comfortable and at ease. So I give Queen Latifah Show a 5 star rating and the experience a 2 star rating. I was really tired, hungry and sore by the time I left there.
