I went with my daughter and had a great time! We sat in the third row. Only bummer was they used a completely different audience when the episode aired the following week.

Been twice now, always hilarious, I mean would you expect anything less from Daniel?
Writing this review to tell a sort of curse that has happened the past 2 times we’ve gone. First time, a girl decided to get wasted beforehand and therefore passed out in the middle of the line waiting to get in. Second time (today) seemingly no drunkies in the crowd but of course, a guy goes down flat on his face, set medic shows up, & an ambulance is called.
Don’t know what it is but people sure are DYING to see Tosh.0

Really great experience to see Tosh. o live. First off the parking can be tough, but its free. We arrived around 2:45 p. m (they do not let you in till past 6). We were the first people in line and lets just say you will be standing for some time. They ask you not to sit down because there rules so you abide.
I HIGHLY suggest you get in line by 4:00 to have a chance to get in because there are VIP tickets and returns from past shows that were at full occupancy. Our taping on Aug. 20^th (which will air 8÷25÷2015) was the first of the season and the most popular of all episodes to see a taping for. There were close to 40 people who went ahead of us and we are numbers 1 and 2. The stand by tickets do NOT guarantee entrance at all so be advised.
They let use use bathroom before the show so use it because you can not once you get in the studio, and be prepared to be wanded and checked by security. There had to be over 60 – 70 people on standby and they cut off by around 34 i believe so that gives you an idea. Once your in, you watch pieces off the last episode to warm you up and then Daniel comes out to do the show. Our show was longer for other reasons than normal episodes but expect an episode to last 45min-​1 hour. Daniel’s wit and humor off camera is hilarious and he gets you to laugh a lot. As many say in past reviews, he is very professional and takes it seriously but ad libs a lot as well.
I highly recommend going to see him live if you can get tickets because it was hilarious and you get to see a side of Daniel you do not get to see on t.v. If you got regular stand by tickets, must come early and be prepared to stand for some time. Don’t forget to bring i.d. because they check it and leave yourself some time to park because it can get hectic. Really hilarious guy and definitely worth the experience.

I went to see Tosh. O last week. Got tix after being on the waiting list for a few months. Its important to know that admittance is not guaranteed, however if you don’t mind standing around for awhile, get there early and you won’t have a problem. Our tix said to be there by 5:45 but we arrived at 4 and were number 11 and 12 in line. That said while we got a seat, there were not that many seats left and plenty of people still outside that did not make it in. If I had to guess, number 25 did not make it in if that helps put it into perspective. Tosh is very professional about his show and gets through it pretty quickly. Whole taping lasts about an hour. Its an intimate setting but you don’t get to chat or have any photo opps. all business. Today it aired and when we tried looking for ourselves in the audience, saw that they switched the audience! It was not our group. Not sure whats up with that but a little disappointed about it. As long as you know you will be waiting a bit, it will be fun. Bring some drinks or something to sip while you wait, just disguise it as security is hanging out with you.

Such a fun experience! Seeing live taping a of shows is fun but can be long or draw out. Not with Tosh.0. If you’re lucky enough to get into the tapings they are a must! He’s super funny and you also get to watch the show in its pure uncensored form!
Get there early, as having a ticket does not guarantee admission! I’ve gone twice now.

Came for the September 25^th 2014 taping. Although you ticket says to arrive 30 minutes before the start of the show, I would suggest arriving even earlier. I arrived at about 4:30pm, was able to park right outside the building on the street. A line had already formed, with about twenty people ahead of me. So, to ensure your admittance, definitely get there earlier, as some of those, even with tickets, were turned away and given VIP tickets for the next taping. VIP tickets will basically get you front of the line for the next taping.
Tips would be to not forget your ID and if you have to use the restroom, you’ll have to wait until after you’ve been seated. So, if you arrive early like I did, that could be an hour and a half.
Daniel himself is pretty funny. He has this persona of being a douche, and he stays in character the whole time, and it is hilarious. They film at least two takes of each segment, so you will hear the same joke twice, however, he ad libs just enough to get genuine laughs from the audience all the time.
Any way, great experience. Hope to come back again next season!

I am a big fan of Daniel Tosh and his style of comedy. I recently got the chance to see Daniel Tosh at the Hermosa Beach Magic & Comedy Club.
Before I attended the Comedy show in Hermosa Beach I had signed up for tickets to attend a taping of Tosh. O so long ago that I forgot I had even signed up until I received an email indicating my turn in line had been called. The email provided me with a link which directed me to the Tosh. O website where I was able to select the numbers of seats I wanted which was 2; I was also able to print out the tickets to take with me to the show.
The show tapes in Culver City right off of the 405 and/​or 10 freeways. My friend and I arrived early and pulled into the front parking lot of the studio which is all assigned parking. We asked security where we could park; security directed us to the street which is either ‘free’ or ‘metered’ depending on where you park. As we were pulling out of the parking lot we saw Daniel Tosh (Tosh.O) walking his dogs that famously appear on his show often.
My friend and I secured ‘free’ street parking and walked to the adjacent lot to the studio where we observed a line of people waiting in line. We confirmed with them that they were all present to see the filming of Tosh. O, they said yes so we got in the back of the line. We arrived at just about 4:15pm with a show time indicated on the ticket of 5:45pm. The line continued to grow as the start time approached.
We were lucky on the day of our visit that it was not that hot out but that did not stop the staff from coming outside with cases of water to hand out to those of us who were in line. Shortly after that a production assistant came out and explained the process of showing your ticket, presenting your identification (must have, they actually kicked someone out of line in front of us for not having theirs) and turning off your cellphone in front of security before being allowed in the studio. After this speech we were given a chance to go inside the studio to use the bathroom, we were advised that once in the studio for the show you would not be allowed to exit to use the restroom so make sure you empty that bladder.
We were finally seated (2+ hours) of standing which is not a big deal for ‘free’ tickets, just make sure you wear comfortable shoes.
After you are seated a staff member comes out to explain where to clap and to avoid talking. Daniel Tosh comes out to film shortly after you watch the most recent Tosh. O episode. Daniel Tosh explains the show, explains that the segments of the show are shot twice for editing purposes. Daniel Tosh stand in front of a green screen but there are plenty of big screen televisions for you to observe what you will actually see on the show.
The show itself was hilarious. Daniel Tosh had us in stiches laughing and even ad-​libbed between segments explaining the story behind the story of some web redemptions and other segments on the show.
The show I attended will air this Tuesday (10-​14-​2014) and I am looking forward to looking for myself in the studio audience. My friend and I were seated directly in front of the audience camera to catch your reaction of some of the videos that are not edited for TV.
I found the show to be great from start to finish. I am glad I went and would do it again. Just prepare yourself from start to finish depending on what time you arrive to wait in line the day last about 4+ hours.

I had a great time at the taping I went to. My friend and I arrived at the studio at around 3:30 and there were only 4 people ahead of us, We read past reviews of this taping so we knew what to expect for the rest. We waited in the line until around 6-​ish, then some staff members came out and had us line up closer to the doors and turn off our phones as well as go through a metal detector test. Before you go in, they have everyone use the restroom if they need to, then they let people in. There are sometimes people who have turnaway tickets or VIP tickets, but that didn’t stop me and my friend from getting in. I believe we were actually one of the first ones in despite the many VIP’s and turnaways. Once we were in, they played the most recent episode of Tosh to get everyone in a good mood for the actual taping. However, this episode they play doesn’t finish. At some point during this, the episode abruptly stops and Daniel comes out. He made our experience there feel very quick, but very enjoyable. He basically gives everyone a quick run-​down of what to expect from each segment before it’s filmed. The entire process of filming it takes roughly an hour, give or take. We were out of there around 8:30. I’d say the experience as a whole was great as long as you take all the precautions you need to take.

I had been on the wait list for almost 2 years for Tosh.0 tickets so I was more than willing to go early and wait in line. Plenty of free parking. We got there at 3pm and they started letting everyone in at around 6pm. More than worth the wait. By the way, it was warm that day so the crew ending up bringing out tents for shade and water bottles for everyone in line. They were very accommodating.
Be prepared for a pat down and metal detector before you enter. You can bring phones in but be prepared to turn it off in front of security. If you’re caught taking a picture inside they’ll make you delete it. You can’t use the bathrooms once you’re inside but they give you an opportunity beforehand to go.
Daniel is very professional; well as professional as one could be filming an episode of Tosh.0. He takes his job very seriously. They’ll run through the segments twice so be prepared to laugh like you’ve never heard some of the jokes before. It kind of throws you off when Daniel flubs a line or repeats himself in the middle of a sentence just to get everything perfect. All in all, it was a great experience and I’m bummed they changed it so you can only attend one taping per season.

I went to 7÷8÷10 taping (World of Warcraft kid episode). Unfortunately, that was also the date of The Decision. Daniel Tosh is a Miami Heat fan (or, at least, grew up in South Florida). I’m a Cleveland Cavaliers fan.
I got tickets a month or so before the taping. I made sure to get there early, and there still was a line outside the door and down Hayden Avenue past the Tennis Channel’s HQ. Since everybody here was a local, I had to tell them, «I’m from Ohio. I can’t come back next week.» I was the last person they let in. Standing room only.
Daniel Tosh was funny, although he is a little bit of a prick. He did interact with the audience quite a bit. He also did two separate takes with two sets of jokes. The set that didn’t make the cut made a jab at Cleveland. I was hella pissed.
The whole experience was amazing. My only complaint was being surrounded by so many bros and Valley girls during the taping. They make me want to gouge my eyeballs and eardrums out.

Meh. I’ve experienced better…

My husband I ended up in the first row, center seats so I can’t complain about the experience! Here are a few tips that I have for fellow Tosh. O fans:
— I signed up to be on the waitlist for tickets almost a year ago. I think it was through a company called on camera audiences and I received an email from them when the tickets were available.
— We got to the taping an hour early (4:45PM) and there was already a long line so get there early.
— Be ready to spend the whole afternoon there, it takes awhile to get everyone organized and then once the show starts, its typically an hour. We were outta there by 8:00PM.
–Tosh is even more HOT in person. That’s all :)

I went to the 09÷19÷13 taping. If you are a Tosh fan you won’t be disappointed. The taping only lasted an hour and I was sitting down. Other reviews said there are people standing but I didn’t see anyone standing.
His demeanor off camera is different than I expected. He appeared deep in thought and tired but was very funny off camera. They take this comedy stuff very seriously though. When the camera is rolling he becomes what you see on TV. He tells a few funny stories and curses a lot and gives some back story on the bits to bring you up to speed off camera. He’ll tell you ahead of time when to clap etc…
They run through each of the three segments twice and you have to force yourself to laugh as hard the second time around. It isn’t that hard since most of the time he’ll change the punchline so it is sort of new the second time around.
Now for the tickets and the line. We were emailed a ticket that said «Private» and that doesn’t mean squat. The studio we were told had about 70 seats. They first take VIP’s who have a guaranteed seat. I don’t know who they are or how they get their tickets but there were about thirty of them at this show. They seat them first and they don’t have to wait in line like people with a «Private» ticket and the VIP’s come mostly right before they let the audience in so you don’t know how many VIP’s there are.
The next group of people that get let in are from a «Turn Away» line. These are people that were turned away at a previous show and are given a ticket for another show and they get priority over people with «Private» tickets.
The last group of people that are let in are those with «Private» tickets. The tickets says to be there by 5:45 p.m. We got there at 4:30 p.m. and were 27^th and 28^th in line. At some point the staff goes through the line and gives you a number and takes your name and compares your ID with the name on the ticket and it must match or you don’t get in.
We made it in by being 27^th and 28^th in line and I think only 4 people after us made it in as well. I’d say 50 – 75 people were turned away.
Arriving at 4:30 worked for us but just barely. Obviously the earlier you get there the better your chance.
The staff was pretty organized and I think they began really started organizing us in lines about 6:15 and we were all in by about 7:00. We were out of there at 8:10.
There is a building next door where you can use the bathroom if you are waiting in line early and have to go. The Tosh staff will allow you to use their bathrooms at about 6:30 and you are told you cannot use the restroom once inside for the taping.
You bags will be searched, they run a metal detector wand over you and instruct you to turn off your cell phones inside. No photos allowed.
That’s about it. I really enjoyed it and I hope this helps you organize your trip there.

We had VIP wrist bands so we walked in with the VIP line and got a seat very quick. There was another line to the right of us that had a good 75 people. They let the VIP line in first and once everyone was seated they allowed the other line to walk in and most of them were standing the whole time.
The show was pretty funny and I had a good good time overall. Daniel Tosh was funny, and a bit of a perfectionist when it came to taping and redoing some segments. The studio is very small so don’t expect a huge place. Parking was easy to find right outside of the studio. Don’t try to use your cell phone or take any pictures inside. They’ll warn you that you will be kicked out if you’re seen doing that.
That was my first love show and I recommend it anyone in LA!

Tonight I went to a taping of Tosh.0. I actually went to a taping two weeks ago, arriving at 5:45pm, but I had a standby ticket and they just couldn’t fit the last 6 people in, which included my husband and myself. I actually wasn’t too upset though because I was tired of standing, I had things to do that evening, and that meant I got a «turnaway» ticket which is the next best thing to a VIP ticket. You get in the priority line and then get guaranteed seating during the show — so you know you’re not going to make the trip for no reason. I also wasn’t that disappointed because I did not want to stand throughout the show, which we would have had to do. If you’re in the standby line, especially in the back, there’s a high likelihood you’ll be standing from the show (which really sucks if you’re a shortie like me who can never see over anyone!). If you go back with a turnaway ticket it’s a guaranteed seat.
They let you bring in your cell phone which is nice but you must turn it off once you enter the studio. I accidentally had a camera in my purse and they wouldn’t even let me get in line. I had it with me because I was hanging out with friends afterwards… whoops. My husband was nice enough to walk back to the car and put it in the glove compartment for me.
I have been to Jimmy Kimmel, Leno, and a taping of a Whitney show and this was my favorite studio experience. Everything happens pretty fast — I don’t even feel like the 5:45pm arrival time is that bad, because they start organizing people inside around 6:15/30pm, and the taping begins at 7pm, and ends around 8 or 8:15pm. I didn’t feel like I had to waste so much time waiting around. Plus they don’t have an audience warm up person which is really nice because those guys get boring after a while if you’ve been to a variety of tapings. They show last week’s episode which is a good way to pass the time — we didn’t even finish watching a whole episode though.
Both times my husband and I parked on a nearby side street and it was free.
The taping itself was funny and interesting. Daniel tells interesting stories about the people he features on the show and you really see him let his guard down and be himself. He’s naturally hilarious and his conversational jokes just come to him with ease, you can tell. But he’s very focused on the show, very particular, and tells the audience what’s to be expected. We got out at 8:15pm, after he ran the show twice. The first time it’s the entire show with all the video clips. The second time when he does the show backwards they don’t play all the video clips again.
Highly recommended for any fans of the show.

I don’t understand the negative reviews, because if you live near LA and go to show tapings regularly, you know that this is one of the most stress-​free «worth it» tapings you can go to.
I went to the first taping this season and there was 1 couple in front of us at 3:30, two weeks later I got there at the same time and there were 10 people in front of us. We got seated in the 3^rd row each time. You wait until around 5:30/6 and they check your bags and split you up into shorter lines closer to the entrance. This is when you’re allowed to go inside the building to use the restroom (if it’s cold outside you’ll want to take advantage of this because they keep it pretty warm in there). Usually around 7 they’ll start letting people in the guest list line into the studio, and then the line voucher ticket lines immediately after. Quite a few people get turned away from each show because the studio only holds about 110 (70 sitting), but they get priority/​guest list tickets for another taping.
When everyone inside is seated/​standing, they’ll play last week’s episode of Tosh to get everyone warmed up and usually before it’s over Daniel will come out and start talking about the show before they start filming. It’s really interesting to watch because he’s not at all like people would think from watching him on his show. He knows what he’s doing as far as the production of the show goes and he’ll talk to certain people in the crowd in between filming and he’ll tell at least a few stories that’ll make you feel like you’re getting a mini stand up performance.
After running through the show once, he does all the segments again from last to first, then if everything’s good he’ll say thanks for coming and walk backstage. But if you’re lucky, you’ll get tickets to the first episode of the season in which Daniel then goes through every episode’s wardrobe and shoots the aerial audience shots for the entire season. That adds about another hour to your time there and when I went, Daniel requested they give us Capri Suns and mini corn dogs because most of us have been there since 4 and it was now 9:30. To his defense, they were the most delicious, gourmet corn dogs i’ve ever had.
All in all, it’s a very good experience. Very worth it if you’ve been waiting forever to finally get that email with your voucher.

If you are lucky enough to get a priority seating ticket through email then you have defeated level 1. Driving through traffic then finding parking on the side streets where the studio is hidden at is defeating level 2. Waiting in line for 2.5 hours is defeating level 3. If you get a seat in the show, you’ve defeated level 4. Level 5 would be watching a good show.
I waited about a year to get these priority seats through email. The other Unilocaler’s review was helpful to know that we have to arrive extra early for better chances to get in. We got there at 3:30pm when the email said to arrive by 5:45pm. There were 15 people ahead of us already, however after 2 hours of watching VIP’s get bumped up ahead of us, there were easily 50 people ahead of us.
The studio doesn’t fit a lot of people and at least a fourth of the crowd is standing on the sidelines for the whole show (after already standing 2.5 hours in line). We were so lucky and were the last two to get open seats to sit down.
To the other Unilocal reviewer, everything you complained about was in the disclaimer. That’s why I’m not shutting down the experience with only 1 or 2 stars. I’m giving 4 stars because I thought the Tosh’s content was dull compared to other episodes I’ve watched on TV.

First off, Daniel Tosh’s ‘performance’ for the taping was AWESOME. Love Daniel and his dogs. (lol)
Other than that, we had a miserable experience here.
Comedy Central sends out approximately 150 tickets (via email) and the capacity of the show is approximately 115 – 125; about 80 audience members are seated and the remaining 40+ are «standing room only».
We get here at about 4:30pm and the line to the taping is about 60 people deep. By about 5:20pm, the line was 100+ people deep. We thought we had no issue getting in, BUT at about 5:30pm, the «line guy» directs his voice to those in the middle/​end of the line and says that you may not get in:
1. because of VIP; VIP gets first dibs. /​/​wtf is this? a «fake famous» Hollywood club?
2. or to accommodate people that were turned away the previous week.
Fast forward to about 6:45pm, we are still standing in the same area, and the «line guy» says we are most likely not going to get in. (SMH! we got there 60 mins before the suggested arrival time!). apparently, they gave 30+ VIP tickets to Hayden/​Comedy Central friends and family… and there are about 30 «turn aways» tix from the previous week that they have to accommodate. SUPER LAME.
anyway, 4 VIPs did not show up so we WERE able to get into the ‘standing room only’ area. (PS — if ur short, you probably wont be able to see crap during the taping bc of the other taller peeps in the standing room only area.)
VIPs and turn-​aways are cool, but stop giving away so many f*ckin Comedy Central general admission tix online. Instead of giving out 150 general admission tix, just give out 50 – 60 so that people don’t drive all the way down to Culver City and get turned away.
This woulda never happened at Conan, Chelsea, or any other taping where they actually gave a sh*t about the people (i.e. loyal audience members) that are significant factors in providing the staff with their paycheck. Thanks Hayden/​Comedy central for having me standing for 4 hours. You guys are the best. #rants
