We’ve been coming here for years for my mom’s car. Nevin is nice and very knowledgeable. He works fast and does a very good job.
After I bought my car, I’ve been coming here too. Whether is for regular oil change, parts upgrade, or repair. Way cheaper than other places without sacrificing quality. They definitely know their German cars.
Very easy to contact. They are very responsive to phone calls and super easy to make an appointment.
I had to get my code read for my car a couple of times and Nevin did it for free. And I didn’t even end up doing any repairs.
Recommended this place to all my friends who drive German cars.

Being coming here for a few years now because it’s convenient. Does a decent job with BMW and Mercedes which this shop specializes in. Cheaper than dealer for sure, about 30% to 40% cheaper. Like most shops, has tendency to throw new parts at problems. Once fixed, quality of work is good. A bit excessively priced IMO. $ 1.2k for six spark plugs + coils and thermostat housing replacement. I could do it all for about $ 300 myself in about 1.5 to 2 hours and I am not even that handy. So call «diagnostic» runs $ 120 which means hooking the car up to a handheld code reader. Come on now. Overall, it’s a decent shop which does brisk business, probably because of its prime location in a good neighborhood with lots of expensive cars. Offers 10% discount on labor if paying cash. Parts are marked up 50% above retail. I would recommend negotiate at the minimum 20% off the quoted price, then I might give this place 3.5 stars. Personally, I am going to look for another place next time I need something done to my BMW.

I’ve been taking my Mercedes to Nevin and Lasslo at European Auto for almost 20 years and am convinced that they are the reason my car is still running today. They have been extremely good to me, & I totally trust them. Even though they moved to Cupertino from Palo Alto (20 miles further), I still take my car there.
Yes, it’s time for another car and since I don’t want to buy a NEW car, I will buy a used one from them and continue to use them as my mechanics.

Just had my BMW repaired at this shop. Go to Nevin directly as he is the guy you want to talk to. He went out of his way to make sure my car was in and out the same day and to make sure I got the best deal on parts.
What makes me appreciate this shop so much is even when problems arose that weren’t even really their fault they went above and beyond to make it right and I still got the car back even though it was a Friday.
If you want an affordable honest shop I recommend this one.

I notice my ML430 makes noise when the wheel was turned. Power Steering oil was low. Took it to Nevin and I told him I didn’t have time to fix it that day. He filled in the power steering liquid for FREE. I love this place. This is the kind of service that bring loyalty out of me. I bet dealer won’t do that.

We’ve been taking my husband’s BMW here for about two years. We tried a few other places before this one and were disappointed with the level of service and the prices. Very high. We also went to the dealer for an estimate, which was ridiculously expensive. We were thrilled when we discovered this place. Both Laslo and Nevin are highly knowledgeable and go out of their way to be accommodating. They show you what’s going on in the engine. They explain everything thoroughly. They have never pressured us to do unnecessary work. I can’t say enough good things about these guys. Good service. Very accommodating. Knowledgeable. Quick and far less expensive than any place else we’ve tried, especially the dealer.

Two guys in this shop. Nevin (the only reason there are two stars) is okay. Only my wife has dealt with him, and she thinks that he’s knowledgeable but is not a big fan of him. The other guy Laslo is a total idiot — does the bare minimum, overcharges you for sure, and is full of attitude. There are quite a few other repair shops out there with better service and the same, if not lesser, prices.
If you do decide to take your car there, do insist on talking to Nevin. Though their rates are exhorbitant, that is the case with most european repair shops, but even if the rates were half that, Laslo isn’t worth it.

Avoid at all costs. The guys here come across as friendly and helpful. I brought my car here to ask for a quote to repair my engine, but when I declined to use their services they decided to charge me $ 100.
I paid the fee even though I know that they have done nothing to deserve my money. …watch out

I’ve been taking my E430 and Audi TT to Neven for about four years and I think he’s outstanding. His rates are reasonable, he’s honest, he does quality work and he always treats me as a priority. He fixes simple little things for no charge, and will consistently arrange his schedule to try to fit mine. I moved from Cupertino recently, but it’s an easy decision to drive the 20 miles back to take my cars to Neven.

I’ve come to European Auto since ’05 with an E36 & an E39. Nevin is the owner, and the sole person you should speak with if, and when, you decide to finally take your vehicle here. The best time to reach Nevin is between 10 & 11 am.
I can understand what some of the lower ratings are about. Maintenance with German vehicles is ridiculous, we all know this; but that’s what comes with driving a machine, that even stock, is built to out-​preform everything else on the road. Now if you were to goto Steven’s Creek BMW, Mountain View’s Dinan, or if you started looking further north on the peninsula, then you’d immediately notice that you were being over billed for any service. This is just one more area that European Auto outperforms it’s competition.
Now focusing back on the more important issues, such as honesty, integrity, and knowledge; Nevin is a very experienced mechanic, and he will be direct with what you need and what you don’t need. This isn’t the type of establishment that will push you into buying anything you’re uncomfortable with. They will let you know if anything is wrong with your machine, and when they fix it, it will be fixed.
