NK Nails & Spa

First timer today and I love love the welcoming environment and how clean the salon looked and smelled fruity. I got a pedicure and gel fill. The pedicure was so satisfying my nails look perfect and she gave me like a 10 min foot massage which was amazing. The customer service is excellent not like other places where they talked sh*t about customers. They are extremely professional and friendly and all of the workers care a lot about their customers. The business is organized and definitely see why this place has 5 stars and was busy when I got there. I will be coming back!

First and LAST time coming here. I might be judging the whole place thanks to 1 person out of the many that work here but here goes… I was a walk in around 6ish, the receptionist asked me who is like to do my nails with and my first mistake was «with anyone available». No one was waiting there was about 3 other people already having services being done, so I waited for whoever was available to seat me, as I was looking for a color for my nails a girl walked in and immediately was greeted and seated, she didn’t have an appointment and my best guess is she is a regular but WTH? Anyways, some lady by the name of Kim pointed to me and pointed to a seat so I got up and walked to her, she didn’t greet me or speak to me she didn’t even ask me what I wanted. I showed her a picture as a reference to how I wanted my nails (a picture from previous Unilocalers) and she simply nodded her head. She began to do my nails and she would push my hand away if it wasn’t in the posits he wanted it and she was very aggressive. She finally started to shape my nails and all of a sudden I see her cut into the nail in a coffin shape, UHM HELLO Kim??? When TF did I ever say I wanted coffin shaped nails!!! There was nothing I could do at this point so I let her finish. Once she told me to wash my hands I noticed how incredibly F*CKED up she had shaped my nails. She then asked for me to pay and she whimpered «$ 23». LOL THIS IS A JOKE RIGHT? I wouldn’t pay $ 15 for the f*cked up sh*t she did to my nails. My boyfriend insisted he’d pay because I’ve been wanting to get my nails done for a trip this week. Now I’m stuck with sh*tty nails AND for a trip that I’ve been waiting so long for. Ladies, please save your time and money and go somewhere else. This place is a joke. Very disappointed and sad about my nails.

Yesterday was my first time at this establishment. Upon entry everyone was very nice and welcoming. I had my two young daughters with me and throughout the time the there my youngest (2 uear old) was a bit cranky. However, the ladies working there were so sweet and patient with her. They all wanted to know what was wrong and how they could help (this was through their actions and a few words). As a mom, this meant a lot and increased the customer service.
Regarding my actual nails: I got a gel manicue and I love it. The polish doesn’t feel heavy and the price was reasonable. 20 bucks. I had Kayla as my nail specialist and she was very kind. She spoke little english, but was cute because there were moments I didn’t understand what she needed me to do and she was patient with me. We both would laugh because of our language barrier. My friend was trying her best to talk to her nail person and she spoke even less english than my lady. But you can tell they try their best. They weren’t rude one bit. I would definitely come back!

Absolutely perfect Gel Mani by Ivy! I couldn’t be happier. The entire staff was super friendly. They gave my friend and I cold water bottles and tried to cheer up my friends fussy daughter. I also changed my mind on the color last minute, and Ivy helped me search for a new color. I can not brag on this experience enough! I’ve been to many nail salons, but have never felt so at home like I did here. I found this place through Unilocal since I actually love about 25 miles away, but will definitely make the drive for this place! Thank you NK Nails and Spa.

I’ve been to countless nail salons for years and never have I came across one that is as friendly, clean, and overall amazing services.
I found NK nails through Unilocal and decided to give them a try. I scheduled an appointment with Tammie and Seven for my mother. We’ve been obsessed ever since. They listen to your request of nail shape and get it down until you are satisfied. They have a great selection of colors from regular polish to gel. As far as the pedicure spa, they are beyond clean and sanitary which a big plus! All the nail techs are so friendly, fun music videos playing constantly; it’s overall a welcoming environment. And you can’t beat the weekday deals and free wifi!
Most definitely recommend Tammie and Seven for a full set. Our nails have never looked better! Shout out to Holly and her staff for always being super friendly!

Since Holly has taken over ownership I have followed her to this location. Not only does she whip out fast, gorgeous nails, but she has made the shop beautiful and the staff is so polite.
There’s about a MILLION OPI gel polishes to chose from, I can never decide. I never have to get the same thing twice.
The hot wax they use is never too hot. I can always go right about with my errands and not worry about people staring at my face. I love this salon.

They took me right in as a walk in even though they were busy. I love how they do a great job without breaking your bank! I got my ombré nails by Seven! On your 10^th visit, you will receive $ 10 off!

Great job done my Mr Seven defenetly recomend NK nails, I’ve been to so many different places and just couldn’t found a good place to go, until I found NK nails, I love my nails every time I go, I’ve been there a couple of times, I will recommend for you to schedule an appointment especially weekends because they get really busy, the first time I went into wanted more than normally but the manager or owner was nice that she gave me a % for making me wait longer, oh and if please don’t forget to bring cash for the tip $

This place is clean and decent but the customer service is awful! The times that I’ve gone, the owner of the shop was rude and the only male employee is also a pain.
Once, I was being helped by the male and he seemed to have an attitude. But he did help me by removing my gel polish and then left me waiting for 20 minutes while he helped someone else. I almost started yelling at him because I thought it was terrible customer service but Kayla came along and finished the job. She’s the only great employee in this shop!
Avoid this place!

I love this place. I’ve been going to Holly for years. She just recently moved and took over this spot not too long ago and I really like it because it’s right around the corner from my house. Everyone here is extremely friendly. They get pretty busy, but if you call beforehand then they’ll let you know exactly a good time to come in. :) I like the way Kayla does pedicures & for my hands I’ll never let anyone besides holly do them. She knows how to do nails like a perfectionist. Just show her a picture and she’ll get the shape, design and everything you want. My nails are hard to get the way I want them, but she does it how I want it every time. I’ve never tried anyone else at this salon but I’ve seen their work on others and they look great too! I recommend this place to all my friends. If you’re looking for a nice salon, come here!

Omg words can’t explain how much I love my nails that HOLLY did for me today. She is so fast but yet so carful when she does my nails. I came in at 5:15 and got out of there by 6:30 she’s so amazing. I love her I highly recommend this place.

I’ve been a client for sometime now. I will not be going back. On 2÷12÷2016 I asked if a specific design could be done on my nails and I showed them the picture. The girl that normally does my nails Tammy said yes. At the end, the design was no where near what I showed her in the picture. As I watched her working on my nails I kept showing her the picture and pointing out what I wanted. I was there 2 ½ + and was charged $ 70+ for a horrible gel fill and design plus a pedicure. Not to
Mention the tip I still left them after the terrible experience. I was running late to P/​u my son from school so I had no time to complain but returned the next day. I showed the owner the picture of what I asked for and then showed her my nails. She refunded me $ 19.00 but I paid $ 70.00. I will never recommend or return to NK Nails.
Regarding your rebuttal as far as the work, quality and price of the gel fills. I would like to make it clear to you that I’ve been a client since the salon opened. I don’t have a problem paying for the services if it’s quality work. I have never complained about paying or tipping $ 15 for the hard work the girls do. Unfortunately if you do the math again you lost a good client that would come in every 3 weeks For The same Services And paid the $ 70 + tip. Roughly you’ve lost $ 1208 dllrs a year and another + another $ 310 in tips. You refunding me the $ 50 dllrs was nothing to what you lost in revenue from me, my family and friends. Really smart way to increase income and grow your business. Good luck!

Seriously, what the heck!!! I HATE THIS PLACE!!! How is this place even rated so high!!!
I got gel nails done here less than four days ago and there are AIR BUBBLES FORMING UNDERNEATH THE GEL NAILS… AND THE GEL POLISH ON MY THUMB CHIPPED ALREADY AND IS PEELING OFF ALREADY. WOW TOTAL WASTE OF TIME AND MONEY.
I paid a steep price of $ 45 for these nails and I absolutely HATE them. I honestly don’t think these nails are going to last more than a week. The edge of my thumb already had a crack the day I got them done. (Edit: polish is officially peeling off as of 7 hours after writing this review)
I’ve been getting my nails done at Pearl Nails in Rosemead (WHICH IS THE BEST NAIL SALON EVER!!! Highly recommend!!!) but decided to find a place more local, since Rosemead is 20 miles away from where I live.
I knew I’d be going in with pretty high expectations since the gel nails I get from Pearl Nails usually last me a good month… No lifting or chipping EVER. However, the nails I got done from NK already appear to be deteriorating and it’s ONLY BEEN THREE DAYS. I mean come on… Really??? I paid $ 45 for this???
Not only do my nails look absolutely disgusting from all the dust/​air bubbles that got trapped underneath the gel, BUT THERE ARE ALSO PIECES OF HAIRS/​FIBERS UNDERNEATH THE GEL TOO! WTF!!!
I would go back and complain but I live in San Diego and only commute to OC on weekends. I happen to be flying out to the east coast this weekend and so I’m stuck with these hideous nails for a week. ugh. Cannot WAIT to get these things off.
SAVE YOUR TIME AND MONEY AND AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COST!!!

First time here. I was referred by a coworker. I was debating to get acrylics or not and when the person who was working on my nails suggested it, I said ok. Acrylics look good but I don’t like how thick they are.
Overall I like the way my nails came out aside from the thickness. I would come back for regular gel manicure next time.

Have been coming here for a few months. Very clean place. They have tons of gel polishes.
Ann does a wonderful job. She’s very thorough and takes pride in her work. Ever since they changed ownership, the new owner is rushes the staff when it gets busy. I feel bad for them when this happens

I bounce from nail salon to nail salon, maybe because I’m never satisfied or I just haven’t found the right salon with the right nail tech, but needless to say my desire to find the right salon lead me to try this place out.
They sat me right away and the first thing I liked about this place was the several gel colors they had to choose from. After making what I feel is one of the hardest decisions of my life, I chose my colors and a gentleman began my manicure. He was gentle and attentive, maybe because it was slow that day, but I appreciated how he didn’t hack at my nails. He took off my old gel polish with ease and didn’t overly buff my nails. He applied my new color with precision and even helped me find the right kind of glitter since the one I chose was a little sparse on the bling factor.
If this place wasn’t so far from where I lived, I would be a regular. Very satisfied!

Holly ‘tried’ to correct them plus give me ‘free gel’-yippie. She still talked shit the entire time through-​complete torture. Who would’ve known a 45 min. trip would take 3+ hours!
They obviously look better than the ones before, still sucky, but despite her efforts to rectify the situation, i’d still Never come back, EVER! Terrible service, work, & atmosphere. Don’t know how they have such a high rating.
This experience has made me further believe in only supporting AMERICAN, ENGLISH SPEAKING nail techs! They do better jobs Anyway.

Went back with my friend to get our refund–
Walked in the store at opening and had Ann loudly bombard us with excuse after excuse after excuse about why her husband was so mean to Esther. She said he is usually super friendly and that he is just bad at English, but I think his message showed how fluent he really is.
She explained how they are the new nail salon in town and that Tony apparently stops everyone from leaving the store if they look a little unhappy. Is that a good thing?! sounds weird.
Im happy to say she refunded me, but she has not refunded Esther … oiy!
