If I could give 0 stars I would– worst McDonalds ever– I know you get what you pay for in life but to sit in the a double dove thru window and watch 6 cars get helped in the other lane then have to pull out of line without getting helped is ridiculous– I don’t expect the food to be perfect let’s face it — it’s McDonalds but you would think the most«efficient» fast food restaurant could get the drive thru right– then to go in and see the weak staff laughing and goofing off not really shocked!

Ate lunch today here. This is my last visit to this location. Same problems as before at breakfast. One person at the counter. Long line for a hamburger that was cooked 20 minutes ago. It was luke warm. You have to ask for ketchup. Save up some money and go to chick fil a

They’ve gotten better, but for a couple of years after they opened, they weren’t trying to get orders right. I talked to several managers and supposedly a GM, but it never got better, so I asked to have the franchise owner call me. I followed up and was assured he had been given my message, but I never heard anything. I didn’t eat there for about a year, but I got tired of driving to Buford Drive if I was craving McD’s. The workers are more concerned with doing things a certain way than they are helping customers, and it’s not rare to stand at the counter a minute or so because the crew is working on a drive thru order. The food does not taste as good as it does at other McDonald’s I frequent.

I know, it’s a joke to write a review about McDonald’s and even worse to write an update. But I just have to say… STAYAWAYFROMTHISPLACE! Today my cheeseburger was so dry I threw it away after 2 bites. It had clearly been sitting around for a while, but I used the drive-thru and didn’t have time to go back and return it. When I ordered my meal the girl taking my order asked me if I wanted a free cookie or apple pie. I said«sure, if it’s free» but then my total changed. She switched my order from a medium to a large where the pies come with the meal. Somehow in her brain she thought this was giving me a free pie, but I paid more for the large meal(that I didn’t want) than I did for the medium meal, so how is that free? I guess she didn’t think I was paying attention to the order screen @ the drive-thru. She should have asked me if I wanted to upgrade to a large and get a free apple pie instead of trying to trick me. Speaking of their pies, did you know McDonald’s has a four hour shelf life on their apple pies? 4HOURS from the time they cook it until it is no longer saleable. I could literally drive from Atlanta to Chattanooga Tennessee and back or hop a flight to Chicago to eat @ White Castles and return in 4 hours! ~~~~~ IMAGINARYRE-ENACTMENT Employee — Hi Sir, I made this fresh for you 4 hours ago! Me — Awesome! I prefer my food to sit under a warmer for hours! Employee — Then you’ll really like our pies! We peel old expiration stickers off and let them sit ANOTHER4 hours for extra dryness. Me — That sounds yummy! I hope the inside has dried out. I wouldn’t want that hot filling to burn my mouth. Employee — Oh no Sir, our pies are barely warm and the filling is so dry you’d have to scrap it off the crust and rehydrate it with water! Me — Now THAT is the McDonald’s food I’ve come to expect! Thank you! I love wasting my money on empty calories and poor standards. Employee — You got it Sir! You came to the right place! ~~~~~ I ordered around 1:15pm and received a pie that was marked ‘use thru 3:52pm’. That means my pie was already an hour and 23 minutes old when I got it right? WRONG!!! When I bit into the pie it was hard, cold and dry. So dry the juicy apple filling had congealed and turned a darker color. It was then I noticed an old sticker had been pulled off the box and replaced with a new sticker. Who knows how old this pie was, but I’m guessing it was on it’s second 4 hour wait on the shelf. Also(and this is true of ALL McDonald’s), they fill my 32oz Styrofoam cup with so much ice that I probably only got about 12oz of sweet tea! I know I’m being nitpicky, but it’s so little I ask! Is it unreasonable to expect to get what I paid for? On the positive side, the fries were great! FINALTHOUGHTS I’m so disgusted with myself. I said I would never come here again but I’m a sucker for giving businesses one more chance. I think it is entirely possible that McDonald’s will cease to exist within the next 20 to 30 years, and it’s because of locations like this! Seriously, stay away from this location. Ray Kroc himself wouldn’t eat here!

We waited in the speaker for our to be taken for 5 minutes and when the young lady responded she was very rude .we order one small frappé and they took about ten minutes to make it. It was empty we were the only costumes. Were extremely unhappy, horrible costumer service.

I’ve never been a fan of McDonald’s food, but my kids request it so we go there on occasion. Tonight was such an instance, and we drove through for happy meals, cheeseburgers and fries on the way home. If we had not been diligent, we would have only gotten the happy meals and not the cheeseburgers and fries for the adults. Those we had to ask for at the second window before driving away. Plus, my son’s milk jug was smashed in two places and it took awhile for them to retrieve a replacement from the back. Finally, after the short drive home, the food was barely warm, which tells me that it wasn’t hot and fresh to begin with. The things I like about this location are that the staff is usually friendly, the dining room is usually clean, there is free wifi, a good sized indoor play area for kids, and I love the McCafe hot chocolate and frappes.

As Mayor of Dacula I can say without a doubt that this is the finest dinning experience I’ve ever had. From the bathrooms to the Big Macs this place just has CLASS. Much Love, Big Jimmy

This is absolutely the worst McDonalds that I have ever been to. The drive-thru is so slow… I have had to wait over 20 minutes multiple times and 1 time I completely left the line. The food is always cold and the French fries taste like they have been sitting there for days. I am surprised that this location is staying afloat with the new Chick fil a down the street!

Wow! Well as usual I can deal with the breakfast, no problems there with pretty quick service if you’re inside of the store. At night, it’s horrible especially around 1 or 2 am when it’s not supposed to be busy. I don’t know if everyone is on break but it takes a long time to get food. Once you get it, it’s lukewarm. If it’s hot, it’s because they ran in through the microwave and now the meat is dry. I think they serve you what they didn’t sell for the entire day. You pretty much have to drink 3 big glasses of liquid to hydrate your food once it hits your system. It reminds me of the sea rats in the Marines where you have to hydrate the food before you cook it. I’ll do breakfast, and maybe a fish filet with cheese for lunch but in the early am hours you may want to stay clear.

The Dacula McDonalds is a hit or miss, most of the time we do not get our order complete and accurate. Often we are left checking our order to make sure that our order is accurate and correct before driving off. Should we have to do this? Absolutely not, after all McDonald’s does not pay their customers to do the work of their employees. The food is hit or miss as well, we either get hot fresh fries with our order, or cold soggy fries with our order… we prefer hot fresh fries, don’t you? McDonald’s advertises Coca-Cola as soft drink options, to be honest, I can’t remember the last time I had a true tasting icy cold Coca-Cola at McDonald’s. The Coke takes more like store brand then it does the true brand. I often have to order the Sweet tea because of this, there is something off about the mix of each soft drink they are using. The customer should receive their order correct and complete the first time, we shouldn’t have to drive all the way back from our house to get our order replaced. Also, if a customer is ordering at the drive thru and their order won’t be ready when they get to the window, it shouldn’t be a question on should we give the customer part of their order or wait until we can give them their complete order hot and fresh. I shouldn’t be handed fries when the chicken nuggets aren’t ready, my order should be given to me hot, fresh and complete, even if I have to be asked to pull forward and someone will bring it out to me. I realize that both corporate stores and franchises are run differently. However, it shouldn’t be that way, regardless how the store is owned; all stores should be required to follow the same rules. Having been a former McDonald’s employee, I often see mistakes made at many Metro Atlanta stores. The store I once worked at, the fries couldn’t be sitting out for more than 15 minutes, after 15 minutes they could not be served and had to be discarded, same goes for the other food. It comes down to food safety and making sure that your customers are served the freshest food possible each time. We realize we are not the only customers who have issues with this location. However, if more people brought issues to the manager’s attention, it could be a wake up call for more training to be done with the employees. It takes hard work and dedication to run a store effectively and make the customers happy. There should be no excuses why employees cannot verify the order, make the order correct and complete the order with all items on the ticket ordered before handing the order to the customer. Some employees take their job for granted, but in this economy, there are so many people who are looking for work and would do a much better job than some of the employees at McDonald’s. For the record, when my husband drove back to the store, he called to say he was on his way and address the issue of our order placed. The employee, who answered the phone, let the phone hang while my husband heard everything going on. It was when he got to the store; he had seen the phone still hanging. He was not the only customer who received the wrong/incomplete order; another lady came in to get her order replaced as well. It was then the manager, Orlando realized he had an issue and said«it looks like I need to do more training». I think from now on, we will go to the McDonalds up in Bethlehem, GA. We tend to get better service at that location and more times an employee who speaks and understands English.

I am giving this McDonalds location two stars. What that basically means is they get 4 stars for their morning/breakfast on the food and the management/service. Anytime after breakfast it goes down like crazy and only gets 1 star. Of course, the only reason I ever come here in the evenings is if my son wants to play on the playground. That is one thing I will say about this location is that I like the playground. However, that is mainly because Dacula parents are a lot better than Lawrenceville parents, thus, the quality of the children’s behavior is better at this one than at other locations that are near my house. Basically, if ChickFilA had a bigger, better playground this Mickey D’s location would never see me other than during breakfast hours. I think the few good managers and assistants that they have happen to be on morning shifts at this location. I agree with Richard R that Ray Kroc would be turning over in his grave. All he would need to do is visit 2 locations anywhere in the country and they would see that his«system» has been greatly compromised. Actually, I think McDonalds is probably more consistent now than they were even 5 years ago on lunch and dinner menu/shifts. The problem is, they are CONSISTENTLYBAD!!! They will still get my breakfast business and the occasional obligatory playground visit but that is about it.
