Our business treats foot and ankle medical concerns. Our office will treat children and adults. We treat bunion, hammer toes, heel pain including heel spur and plantar fasciitis. We treat diabetics and diabetic wounds/ulcers. Ankle sprains, strains and ligament tears.

Runners and weekend warriors are taken care of as well.

History

Established in 1979.

Dr. Blum has been in private and group practice since 1979. His office began after he completed his post graduate training in Houston and Dallas Texas. Dr. Blum is a native of Dallas Texas and attended SMU for undergaraduate school. Dr. Blum is a past president of the Dallas and the Texas Podiatric Medical Associations and has served as chairman of the podiatry section at several are hospitals including Medical City Dallas and Presbyterian Hospital Dallas.

My husband’s recent experience with Dr. Donald Blum was a disaster. He went to see the doctor complaining of severe pain in the top of his foot along with an in-grown toe nail. At the on-set of the appointment, my husband told Dr. Blum he was a diabetic. Rather than check him with a doplar or do any further examination, Dr. Blum merely removed the in-grown toe nail. Within a week’s time, my husband was in the hospital because a REAL doctor finally diagnosed his problem as a foot with NO PULSE. Dr. Blum calls himself a foot doctor, yet he held my husband’s foot in his hand and did not notice no pulse? He did not examine the foot any further when my husband complained of severe pain in the top of his foot? My husband was hospitalized and had to have a by-pass in his leg to SAVE not only his foot, but his leg. His vascular surgeon found a totally infected toe where the in-grown toe nail had been removed. The surgery was inevitable, however, if Dr. Blum had been diligent in his treatment of my husband, a week’s worth of severe pain (the foot was literally dying) could have been avoided. I would NOT recommend Dr. Blum to anyone. His services were vastly disappointing.

As promised, I was going to let everyone know what an AWESOME experience I had this past Friday with Dr. Blum and his nurse Ermma! Both were very informative and very welcoming.
