I tried to order food at this location 10 minutes before closing. I walked in, looked at the menu a little while then placed my order. The cashier told me they were already cleaning the grill so I could not order. No sorry, no nothing! So, they let take the time to decide what I want, then tell me I can’t order? I asked if I could speak to the manager. The boy said«there isn’t a manager». I then asked, what is the name of your boss? He said, «I don’t know». Seriously??? The lady cleaning the grill acted like she didn’t speak english. If I acted like that at my job, I would get fired. Do yourself a favor and please don’t go here. I have been other times, and even the guy who I think may be the manager is rude as well. Here is a tip Charley’s, if you are not making anymore food, close the door so people don’t come in!!!

Inattentive cashier, and almost $ 8 for a philly salad which amounted to a handful of watery lettuce, some banana peppers, and a palmful of walmart-grade roast beef.

Tried this pace a few years ago and had bad service. Decided to give it another shot today and again terrible service. Aamir was not listening to my order, when I went to pick it up it was wrong. They couldn’t have cared less… I was stuck with something I didn’t order. This is the least crowded fast food place in the mall… I cam see why.

I don’t like having to speak 2 languages just to order lunch. I do like the chicken cheese steak, but if I can’t understand the girl behind the counter, I’m not sure what I’m going to get. And, she has an attitude that I should understand her broken sloppy English. Smarten up Charlys. Hire people who speak English!!!

In the Galleria and where do I decide to eat for lunch? Yoy guessed it — the Chicken California is on point! Be careful if you get the combo with the cheese fries because you will probably need to slowing down a notch… another visit well worth it’s weight in gold.

So some of the reviews on here wasn’t that great about the food. But my experience here was great. I think it really just depends on the person making the food. I didn’t get a chance to eat a full meal here since I was in a rush to shop before the mall closed. I stopped in to get 2 drinks and a small philly cheese steak with everything on it to get us through. Everything was $ 10 and some change. Not bad. We had a medium sweet tea, a strawberry lemonade with fresh fruits in it. Definitely tasty and refreshing. I will say though, I loved the Philly cheese steak! It was so tasty and freshly made. The fresh vegetable was prefectly portioned on the sandwich. Mmm mmm. I wish I had time to try their combo and other items. But it’s ok when I return next time I will try more on their menu and update. Must try though!

Slightly overpriced but tasty enough mall food. Kind of sloppy meat prep(I had the BBQ steak w/onions) and assembly. The fries looked a little better than they tasted. Kind of bland.

The service was horrible. I ordered a regular Teriyaki chicken, and the lady forgot to put my onions(which originally is supposed to come with them), and jalapenos on the grill. She then nonchalantly«sliced» the meat and everything just ended up being in HUGE chunks under cooked — it was horrible. She forgot the teriyaki sauce to begin with, and just put the cheese on top. I’ve been to several different Charley’s locations and this had to be the worst. The grill looked like it hasn’t been cleaned in ages, the floor was dirty, and the soda machine looked like it was growing mold. I even asked the lady to re-cook my sandwich since she messed it up, but she just gave me a harsh, cold blank stare and acted as if nothing ever happened or said. I am ashamed that this Charley’s is giving the other locations such a bad name. I am never coming back here again. Definitely sticking to the Garland Firewheel Town Center location for sure.

All the way on the top floor of the Dallas Galleria Mall. Well worth it. The Philly Cheese Steak is excellent! A large sub with fries and drink is around $ 13.

I actually like Charley’s for a quick cheese steak fix. I don’t have any negatives about this particular location as they do what they do– make tasty grilled sandwiches fast. There are no real frills to the taste, just quality meat grilled up with your choice of toppings and sauces. It is a good alternative to the plethora of sub shops that the Galleria has and to that point you can’t get fries at any of the sub joints. Its pretty much a decision in grease that you are making so go for it.

Somebody is going to lose their shirt on this one. Who thought it was a good idea to open a philly cheesesteak restaurant in a mall that already has a multitude of better sandwich shops like Which Which, Corner Bakery, Potbelly Sandwich Works, La Madeline and even Subway? Today, I decided to get a closer look at the trainwreck of an idea that is Charley’s Grilled Subs. I was hoping that perhaps the sandwiches would be so good that the Indian couple who seem to own it wouldn’t necessarily be facing financial ruin… but no, the sandwiches weren’t and the owners are. This place advertises two things… cheesesteak sandwiches and«gourmet» fries. By «gourmet» they mean«swimming in nacho cheese and topped with bacon bits»(hmmm, my dictionary has seemed to miss that definition). The menu goes like this… Beef philly cheesesteak Beef philly cheesesteak with peppers Beef philly cheesesteak with bbq sauce Beef philly cheesesteak with bacon bits Chicken philly cheesesteak Chicken philly cheesesteak with peppers… Now, I think it can be okay to base your business on essentially one item, as long as you do that one thing well. Sorry Charley, my sandwich with bell peppers was not good. And honestly, I can’t understand why since there were eight people behind the counter to ensure that order was prepared with the utmost care and attention. I’m not kidding, there were probably a dozen people working the restaurant… did perhaps they get the week wrong and were waiting for superbowl crowds to hit at any minute? I’m just not sure. It seems that the entire operation could be run by two or maybe three people. My sandwich was bland, it even looked unappetizing. The french fries(I went for standard, not gourmet) weren’t outstanding either. One positive is that they have fabulous ice… Sonic-style ice… my favorite. So, what can I say except that if you are intrigued and really want to try Charley’s Grilled Subs(and don’t forget the gourmet fries) after reading this review… you’d better hurry. I’m not sure this place will be around long.
