Let me start out by saying that I love Unilocal.It is like Angie’s List but free. I had an HVAC guy I have used for a while, but he was getting pretty flaky over the last year or so, so I turned to Unilocal.I contacted Jesse and got a voicemail. As I was leaving a message on the machine, he picked up. It was either close to 5pm or a little after. Anyways he told me to put my request through an email via his website. Once I found his website, I put in a request using his online form. I didn’t hear back for a couple of days, so I called him back. He didn’t receive my request, so for the person that put the 1 star review, I understand your frustration, but would give him a chance as we have become too reliant on technology and expect it to work every time. Anyways, I had to send him an email directly and this time he got it.
I live in Oklahoma City and have a rent house in Dallas, so I need someone to work with the situation. He does take credit cards over the phone, so that is perfect for me. After getting my billing info he made a trip to the house and determined that it was an evaporator fan motor that needed to be replaced. This was a specialty item that had to be ordered. He quoted me $ 378 for this repair. I was expecting this to get completed by the end of the week, but it was the following week before it was completed and an invoice emailed to me. I am not sure if the part was delayed or that Jesse got super busy, either way it got done before the weather got in the 80s. The flooding may have been part of the reason, but I never asked.
A week or so after the repair, I get a call from the tenant saying the air isn’t blowing cold air. I called Jesse who told me to email him. The following day he goes to check and identifies the problem as a thermostat wiring. He wasn’t sure if he could have caused that, but took responsibility and corrected it without charging me for the repair or the service call. That was awesome and although I feel bad leaving a 4 star vs a 5 star for such a swell guy, the couple of delays may need attention, namely the website not processing all requests.
I can vouch that his honesty and customer service are impeccable and he is my new HVAC guy for the Dallas area.

So thankful for Jesse today! The first time we turned on our AC in 2016 and it wasn’t blowing cold. Nooooo! I was terrified it would cost me a fortune to fix. Jesse came over and was able to fix it in15 minutes! And was the most affordable HVAC repair man we’ve ever used. He’s definitely going to be our go-​to Handyman going forward. Next on the list… my dishwasher and dryer! Thanks Jesse!

I called Jesse to see if he could look at my dryer because it wasn’t heating. He told me it sounded more like an electrical problem and I should call an electrician before paying him to come out. Turns out he was right. He could have easily come by and charged me for the visit but instead he was honest and saved me some money. Thanks Jesse!

Jesse is an honest and consummate professional. I called and emailed him two days ago, he called me yesterday to verify where I was located and the nature of my issue (dish washer that wasn’t draining). On that phone call he asked me if I had recently replaced my garbage disposal (which I hadn’t). He was already zeroing in on the problem.
Today he came out, looked under the sink, took off the drain line from the dish washer which goes into the garbage disposal, and said, «The problem is this drain line is clogged from stuff in the garbage disposal, because it was not installed correctly. You can clean out the line yourself or I can do it for you.» He showed me how the drain line wasn’t setup correctly, and the procedure to clear it out.
$ 45 service call charge, and he taught me several things which will help me address any issues like this again. I’m a handy enough person, if I know what I’m doing, so I *greatly* appreciated that $ 45 lesson and a chance to find out what kind of man Jesse is. He’ll be my first call for any appliance issues from now on.
From him showing up, to looking under the sink, to explaining the issue, to me fixing it after he’d left, took all of about 30 minutes. I am very happy. Thank you Jesse.

Although, I didn’t end up needing Jesse to service my washing machine, his advice over the phone helped immensely and felt a way to say «thanks» would be another great review. He was able to confirm the problem, give me an estimate and then show me a way to take advantage of a warranty.

I have had a few bad experiences in the past with AC repair companies, so I feared the worse when our main unit stopped blowing air from the vents. I also did not want to deal with the run around that I’ve had to deal with when contacting my home warranty company (AHS), so finding an honest, dependable and reasonably priced repairman was my goal. I got some recommendations from friends, but came to Unilocal and did some looking and found Jessie’s AC & Appliance. After reading most of the good reviews and the couple of bad ones (which seemed more about missed connections rather than a critique of his service), I contacted them both via their web site and by phone.
I received a prompt call back and scheduled a time the next day for him to come out. He called before he arrived and he and his assistant arrived slightly earlier than promised. He confirmed the description of our issue as posted on his web site and went up to the attic to inspect. After a quick check, he determined it was a capacitor issue with our air handler and replaced it.
I am sitting happily in my now cool home and am grateful for the great service, professionalism and honesty that Jessie displayed. I’m also pretty happy with the cost! I highly recommend him for your AC repair needs. Great job!

Jesse and his crew were prompt, quick and straight to the point. Great service. Our initial call he walked me through a quick fix to remedy the problem. Upon further inspection after our initial call, I realized that it was a bigger issue. He came out, fixed the problem, and I was up and running in less than 10 minutes. Would highly recommend.

Booked up for four days… but worth the wait as it took him and his helper about 10 minutes to fix my AC. Gives a 30 day free service call promise if you need him again, but I’m sure it’s fine. Will keep his number and use him in the future if I have any AC issues. Thanks Jesse!

Jesse called me back quickly! I explained my situation and he said it was a power company issue and I should call them. So I did he was right! Saved me money thanks for being helpful, prompt and free. When something does go wrong I’ll call him again!

My first contact with Jesse was in a phone conversation about an appliance problem I had. He said, «Don’t waste your money on a service call, you can easily fix it youself.» He explained the procedure and I followed his instructions and voila! Done!
Recently my washer crapped out and I knew I HAD to have a service call because broken pieces could be heard flying around down by the motor. I called near closing time on Friday and he came out Saturday at lunchtime. He diagnosed the problem in one second (seriously) and tore the machine down, got a replacement part out of the stock in his truck, installed the part, and was outta here in ten minutes.
He knows his stuff and doesn’t waste your time or his.

Jesse punctually arrived to check out our gas oven which had stopped working. He pinpointed the problem, but was honest and told us that he wouldn’t be able to go grab the mechanism required for possibly a couple of days (due to a family bereavement). Instead he called in the part for us to the Appliance Parts store, had them put it in will call for us, and explained the truly easy process of how to fix the part.
After giving us specific instructions, and heading out the door, he would not accept any payment for his consultation and instead told us that «i’m not here to make money, I’m here to make customers». Well Jesse, you have a new loyal customer here! Will definitely be calling again in the future. Can’t recommend this company highly enough. 5 stars.

I called Jesse and he scheduled me in the next day. Showed up and was able to fix my air conditioner in minutes and charged me less than my home warranty company. I’m definitely going to be using him on the future. Thanks!

This guy is great. He’s been over now to work on 4 different appliances.
The first time he came over for my oven, he said he couldn’t fix it and didn’t charge me! Sure enough, I went out and got a new one.
I have a range that isn’t very well known. When I had an issue I called the company and requested Jesse to fix it, even though he told me himself that he has never worked on one like mine. They were gracious enough to agree to let him do the warranty work. I trust him that much to request him directly through the manufacture, instead of the «Certified» company that everyone else uses on high end stuff.
This guy is great. Highly recommended.

We had an issue with our dryer not running. So I was recommended to give Jesse a call. He was so helpful, and affordable! He had it fixed in 15 minutes. We are very satisfied with his great service! We will most definitely be using him again if we need help with anything else appliance or heat/​ac related!

I’m sorry that I have to spoil the five star review average, but I contacted Jesse’s AC & Appliance hoping to get my clothes dryer repaired. I emailed them over this past weekend. I wasn’t expecting a response right away since they’re closed on Sunday, but they never responded at all. They don’t answer their phone, and they don’t return voicemails. I don’t know how they get all these five star reviews when they don’t bother to call back or return emails. I contacted Abel Appliance Repair, and they got everything done quickly at a fair price.
I believe that all those 5 star reviews here are FAKE! Someone who doesn’t bother to return phone calls, or emails doesn’t get 5 star reviews. This guy must have got a bunch of friends to post fake reviews.

I called Jesse out to fix my refrigerator and due to crappy cell phone service from Sprint, missed our first appointment (my fault). He graciously came out again the next week and fixed refrigerator in under 5 minutes.
Since it was an easy fix, requiring no parts and minimal labor, he charged me only the appointment fee which I was more than happy to pay.
Jesse has the 3 important traits that I look for in a repair man:
1) honest
2) high level of expertise
3) punctual.
Jesse fixed my refrigerator quickly, cheaply, and arrived when he said he would. I would HIGHLY recommend him.

After reading several positive reviews about Jesse’s ability to quickly respond to calls and fix air conditioners, I decided to give him a call. My home air conditioner was blowing hot air and I knew it was leaking but didn’t want to face the music or pay an exorbitant amount of money to fix the problem.
Jesse came out on a Tuesday morning at the beginning of the window he gave me (if not earlier) and did a quick inspection of my attic and HVAC system. He gave me a few options and I went with a quick fix, which didn’t break the bank and will hold me over until the end of summer. AC repairs and replacements are expensive so I truly appreciate him being straightforward and honest with me regarding my options.
Living in Texas without AC can be quite miserable and Jesse put me out of my misery rather quickly. I just wish I had called him sooner!

Jesse is as good as it gets!
If he wasnt married, I might say he could just be my dream man! He was at my apartment when he said he would be, he was respectful and polite, and wasnt intimidated at all by the total meltdown that I had when he got there (it was a rough moving day).
He got the problem fixed extremely quickly, charged me an extremely fair price (less than half of what other places were trying to charge me)!
Most of the other places that I called dont even answer their phone! They are like those guys you meet and they say they will call you and never do, Jesse is like the total package who sets a date with you, follows up during the week, and shows up!
I usually only write Unilocal reviews when I have a bad experience but this was absolutely PURRFECT! I would recommend Jesse anytime!

There was a problem with my dryer, He told me I didn’t need to fix it and it would of cost around 2 – 4 hundred dollars.
There has been no problem since he came out.
