I am working across the Centura Tower building and I always cross the street to Murphy’s Deli to have my lunch if I have chance. I think the food is more for personal taste some people may love some may not, but one things I am pretty sure about is, this place is a very happy place to visit, sometime you can hear the laughter even before you enter the Deli, not like the Deli at my own building, while I visited they all seems so angry, seems I owe them money, well this just own opinion. Make your judgment based on your own experience.

I recently got a job at Centura Tower. Having only worked at single-tenant buildings in the past where driving was required to get lunch, I was excited to have a deli an elevator ride away. The first time I ate at Murphy’s and got the muffuletta, I was satisfied and excited to go back. Unfortunately, most of the rest of my visits have been a complete disappointment. Here’s a quick breakdown of the items I’ve tried and how they’ve fared: * Grilled Chicken Pita: The«grilled» claim is extremely misleading. The chicken is completely colorless, bland, and looks and tastes like it came out of a can – which it probably did, seeing how Murphy’s doesn’t prepare ingredients on-site. This left me hungry and annoyed. One star. * Paninis: About half as thick as in the pictures, if that. Drenched with oil from a large spray bottle for quick, fake color, resulting in what is essentially a greasy fried sandwich. Two to three stars, with Spicy Turkey being the most passable. Avoid Chicken Pesto and Cordon Bleu, as the chicken is the same junk described above. * Muffuletta: While also only half as thick as pictured, Murphy’s muffuletta is filling and actually not bad in the flavor department. It is, perhaps, the only item I can eat here without being disappointed. Three to four stars, but only if I don’t try to compare it to a proper muffuletta(go to Jimmy’s Food Store if you want the real thing). * Supremes: I like… uh… the bread on these. Sadly, they use so much mayo that, by the time you’re halfway through eating the sandwich, the bread is drenched and falling apart. Actually, the entire sandwich is falling apart, since the toppings are poorly layered and slipperly as hell due to mayo overload. Murphy’s Deli thrives on laziness, bad weather, and the inconvenience of getting out of a parking garage. These are the primary reasons people working at Centura Tower choose to eat here, and they pay a premium to do so, with most items in the ripoff – ahem – $ 5.99 to $ 6.29 range. Just this morning I heard that some of my coworkers routinely walk across the street to eat at the Providence Towers deli, which I find hilarious. UPDATE: Docking another two stars to offset the fake review by «Kim» until it is removed. Really, guys?
