Owner and groomer of The Pawlished Pooch, Evelyn, has always had a passion for animals. She grew up always having a dog or two along with cats then moved onto care taking assistant for farm animals such as horses, goats and chickens.

Evelyn was born and raised in Dallas, Texas where Oak Cliff has always been her home despite moving to the outskirts of Dallas.

She has been grooming for four years in a veterinary clinic setting and has become familiar with medical terminology and treatment especially those with skin conditions. Rest assured that your pet will receive the utmost care in grooming.

I came across The Pawlished Pooch since I couldn’t book an appointment with petsmart. I called Pawlished Pooch and Ms. Evelyn booked my appointment on the spot especially being somewhat short noticed! My little Max was ready an hour and a half later and I am more than pleased with his hair cut! This groomer is also very reasonably priced compared to other groomers I’ve gone to. For sure will be taking my little Max to Ms. Evelyn again! Thanks!

I took my Pomeranian here for a first time haircut. I was really nervous for it was the first time she got groomed. Evelyn was really nice and explained what she was going to do to her. Athena was ready in 45 minutes! I had an excellent experience and will def be back. So close to home too!

My wife tried to shave our rough coat Jack Russell at home (take a second form a mental picture). Not only when I called did they laugh with me but they were able to save the day. He home looking like he had been cured from mange, all while clean and happy. The last part is a huge deal considering our little guy was a bait dog before we rescued him. This was the first time he has come home from the groomers calm and content!!! Now we are just going to use a well place sweater to hide the parts that were to far gone.

How great to have a talented dog groomer right here in the neighborhood! Bella spent the morning with Evelyn getting cleaned up and having her nails done for Halloween weekend. We were both very happy, so she’ll be back soon!

This place is awesome– my furry boy is clean, nails trimmed, ears clean, happy and loved. It was a good price considering the fur that was removed and he loved the groomer! Will be back.

We followed Evelyn from East Dallas Vet after she left to start her own salon. We’ve tried a few other groomers in the DFW area and have not found anyone as skilled as she is with our golden retriever. So much so that we are more than willing to make the trek from Lake Highlands to Oak Cliff to have our pup groomed.
