Librada Yamat DDS

Dr. Yamat is an outstanding cosmetic dentist. She is personable, compassionate, caring and understands all your needs. Considering my dental issues she was always patient with me. I highly recommend her and her staff for all your dental needs.

I intially visited Dr. Yamat with the mouth from hell. I thought the only remedy for me was a thermal nuclear device. Doctora Bing took a look see and knew exactly what was needed and proceeded to repair the unrepairable… gently and affordably. I have been to a zillion dentist in the past, from 450 Sutter St., S.F. to the clinics at UCSF, and Dr. Yamat is without question the finest dentist I have ever encountered. One cannot do better.

From the time you go in until the time you leave, this office takes excellent care of you. Yamat and staff took good care of me and I look forward to many more visits. When your in the waiting room they ask if they can bring you anything or change the channel to your liking. When you sit in «the chair» the staff asks if I want a magazine or anything. They go step by step to make sure you know what is going on and that you never feel lost. The service is great and she really cares about her patients. I highly recommend her. Oh ya, extra stars because I only have to walk across the street!

Please be advised that I never got to actually see the doctor. My appointment was at 2pm. When I got there at 1:55pm, no one was at the front desk. Waited 15 mins until someone finally came out to the front but the girl went right back without saying a word to me first. When someone decided to speak to me, I was given paperwork to fill out and then was told that I’d be responsible for additional co-​payments even though I have dual coverage. I provided my insurance information the day before and was told that everything was set. By this time it was 40+ minutes after my appointment time and the dentist was no where near ready to see me so I opted to leave. Guess my search for a new dentist has not ended.

Dr. Yamat is great, Been her client for many years that she made my teeth beautiful. But her price compare to others are way too high… So if you decide to see her make sure you have money.

best dentist ever! her helpers are very courteous, too. she gave me some extra hookups with toothbrushes n toothpaste. and also, does a good job with pulling wisdom teeth — PAINLESS. =) I recommend DR. Yamat. It’s obviously a well-​established family dental clinic. =)

I have an underlying health condition and my Pulmonary doctor has informed me to pre-​medicate with antibiotics before all dental work. Ever since I was a child with my previous dentist, I pre-​medicated even if it were for something as simple as a cleaning because my dentist knew the extent of my condition and he cared. With Dr. Yamat, I have to beg and plead for her to prescribe antibiotics for me before my dental work. At times, she has done procedures on me without concern of me pre-​medicating. She is only concerned with getting the work done so that she can get money and she can probably care less about the health of her patients.
Recently, I was referred to an endodontist by Dr. Yamat because of an abcess/​infection that occurred on one of my molars. The root canal was done by a collegue of Dr. Yamat in her office, Dr. Sanchez. Dr. Sanchez failed to fill a canal which in turn caused the infection. The endodontist that corrected my root canal did a scan of my tooth and informed me that the dentist who initially did the root canal missed a canal. I had to pay $ 800 out of my own pocket to have this corrected. When I informed Dr. Yamat of this issue, she told me that nothing is guaranteed and refused to give me Dr. Sanchez’s contact information because she «[didn’t] know where he [was].» These are DENTAL PROFESSIONALS, if you can say that nothing is guaranteed then you must not be a very good dentist if you can’t vouch for your own work.
Please don’t go to Dr. Yamat because her slogan is «nothing is guaranteed.» I’m sure you don’t want a dentist working on your teeth if they can’t provide optimal results. They can purposely do a bad job and say that nothing is guaranteed.
I am in the process of trying to get my money back. In turn, I will not refer anyone to Dr. Yamat and I hope that you all take my advice and go to a dentist that can live up to his/​her title as a Dental Professional.
I wish I would’ve stayed with my previous dentist and not have been concerned with location convenience since my previous dentist was across the Bay and Dr. Yamat was just down the street.
My friend has had a dental procedure done by her as well and his crown cracked a week after the procedure. He went back to try to get it fixed and she was trying to charge him for a whole new crown. Again, «nothing is guaranteed», I guess.
I will not be going back to Dr. Yamat. And to Dr. Yamat, if you are reading this, you can list me as inactive because I’d rather have all my teeth rot than to go back to you.

Terrible experiences, there are always hidden charges afterwards. We agree on a price; and later in the mail I get a invoice stating that I need to shell out more because the procedures she wanted to add weren’t all covered like she had anticipated.
Also during the routine cleaning; she is always gossiping/​giggling in Tagalog with her assistants. WTH, concentrate on the task at hand! Very unprofessional.
I’d avoid her. I liked my old dentist far more; its a shame she retired!
