Starbucks

I only go to this location when I absolutely need a latte because it is really close to my home. But every time I go there, it is the worst experience. The last three times have been exceptionally the worst. One time, I placed a mobile order, walked over, waited to make eye contact with ANYONE (which was an epic fail), finally flagged someone down after waiting twenty minutes, only to find out that their machine for accepting mobile orders was down. How about putting a sign up that says that!!! The next time, I went in I placed an order for some drinks and breakfast sandwiches. The drinks were ready in no time, which was great. But then I sat there waiting for the sandwiches. and waited… and waited. I go to the front counter and ask about the sandwiches, to which the guy looks at me with a blank stare while another employee taps him on the back and asks what all these sandwich bags are doing on the side of the machine with names on them. One which happened to be mine. And today. Today threw me over the edge. I am waiting in line inside the store. I am the firth person in line and it starts to get busy. I see about five more people get in line behind me. And let me point out that the line is barely moving. There is one cashier and I count four other people behind the counter who seem to be avoiding jumping on the cash register. I then overhear the cashier apologize to a customer saying that she is new which is why it is taking a long time to enter the order. It’s about 8am on a Saturday. This is busy time. Why put a new person on the cash register with no help!!! To make matters worse the barista, Emily, rudely keeps tapping the new cashier and lecturing her and pointing out everything she is doing wrong… right in front of the customers. The cashier looked like she was on the verge of tears. Emily then goes back to making drinks and is slamming everything. She would open the frrezer to grab some ice then shut it very hard, then grab a a pitcher and slam it on the counter. So rude, so unprofessional. This location needs a major wake-​up call in hiring people with good customer service. Having people like Emily there with that kind of attitude, along with the bad communication and avoidance of helping customers is bad for the business.

The outdoors of this starbucks is beautiful with nice seating couches and tables. Place is very clean. We were 6 people and they messed up on 3 drinks.

Today I am happy to say that I had a really positive experience at this location, the barista who helped me was cheerful and communicated with me very well. Also, props to the manager who messaged me after my previous review and informed me they have been working on improving customer service. Well done Starbucks!

This is a great location! With the reconfiguring of the drive through, this has become a much more efficient Starbucks! I’m happy to be update this review :)

Save yourself and don’t drive through. It will take less time to drive somewhere else to get a drink.
30 minute drive through wait.
You’d think it would be faster.

This is the slowest un-​directed location I have been too. 8 employees visiting, order wrong… Back to wait again, lots of «campers» so if you think your going to sit and visit with someone better think again. Someone could wipe or broom more then once a week… Yukkk!

I come to this Starbucks drive thru all the time before work. They are so fast and the staff is always friendly. The coffee is always made well.

Absolutely love this Starbucks! It’s about 15 minutes from where I live, so of course there are closer ones to me, but I specifically go to this one on PCH to study all the time. It is spacious, and the workers really go above and beyond to meet your expectations, and are friendly as well. They have plenty of space both inside and out, so you can read the newspaper or do work inside, or enjoy a cup of coffee watching life go by on PCH.

It was a late night and my friends and I had a long drive back. Wanting to snag a quick coffee, we went through the drive thru because our friend told us it was ²⁴⁄₇. As we pulled up the window, we noticed some employees cleaning up so we waved to get their attention. Despite making direct eye contact, the employee proceeded to ignore me.
The least she could’ve done was tell us they were closed. Basic customer service skills miss.

This is my first time here and I have to say this is the best customer service I have ever received at any Starbucks. I’m not sure why the negative reviews, but the young men who helped me this morning were awesome and the nicest Starbucks employees I have ever encountered, which is why I came on here to write a quick review. As such, I was totally shocked to see the low rating. In any case, I loved this Starbucks experience :) thanks guys — you are awesome!

The new drive thru is open. It’s super fast now! And we get to see the baristas taking our order AND what we are ordering on the screen so we can make sure it’s correct! The baristas seem to really like it and are having a blast with it!

I had the worst experience here I waited 7 min in the same spot at the drive thru then decided we weren’t moving and went in side to wait 12 min for my drink no one was their!!! I had enough time to catch the names of everyone working Chris kyle and Blake they gave horrible service and I got my drink ¾ of the way full you guys are awefull I am in customer service and you guys are terrible!!! I hate this Starbucks never again!

I don’t know who would be dumb enough to go to Starbucks when JC Coffee house is 100 yards away…

Poor service, unfriendly people and an unusually poor experience for Starbucks. The people were swamped and look like there were not enough employees making coffee. Both our orders were messed up but the line was so long with people trying to get their drinks made right that we just left. Maybe $ 5 isn’t enough for a cup of coffee.

Wow… just read some really negative reviews… totaly NOT my experience. Ive been comming to this location off and on for a few years, and really enjoy it. Today, as always, my drink was made correctly and served quickly. The cashier was in training, but was accurate and courteous, the barrista was all smiles, and everyone wished me a good morning and a great day. I do regularly see a line at the drive through, even when I’m just driving by. This was the first area Starbucks to be open at 5:30am; it is the only Starbucks on PCH from Oceanside to Newport to have a drive through… yeah dumb ass, there’s going to be a line! This remains one of my favorite locations.

Do yourself a favor & go out of your way to go to another Starbucks if you are trying to find one in the area. Let me preface by saying I go to Starbucks almost everyday & order the same thing. I usually order a turkey bacon sandwich without cheese & this morning at the Dana Point location received the sandwich with a quarter sized piece of turkey on it. I uploaded a picture for reference. Also, I always order a tall iced coffee w/​lite soy. I have literally never had so much soy in my coffee. It taste awful. I’m actually about to go to another Starbucks next to my office to re-​order as the Dana Point location was that bad.
To top it all off, it was more expensive! This meal has always cost me $ 5.15 & this morning at the Dana Point location it cost me $ 6. I know it’s not a huge difference but after receiving such poor quality it feels like a dagger.
Seriously, do yourself a favor & go to a different location.

Constantly creating a hazard by allowing the drive through to back up and block PCH. If you are waiting in the right lane on PCH, go park and get your coffee! Seriously, this is an accident waiting to happen. They need to change the direction/​flow of the drive through.

The team at Starbucks could not have been more helpful.
My Boss left this wallet on the table there after visiting this past weekend and discovered it was missing about an hour later when he was half way back to LA. He called the store and spoke to Jeanie at the store who found the wallet and put it in the store safe. Then on Tuesday I spoke to the Manager Brook who kindly offered to go to FedEx office herself and send to it us.
I love Starbucks but I especially love the customer service and helpfulness of this store in particular and I have never even been there.

Let me first start by saying that I’m a regular at starbucks but this is my first time at this location. I don’t expect the best quality and service when I go but I DO expect that each starbucks get my order right and they do it in a reasonable amount of time.
My usual order is quite simple. Grande iced coffee with soy milk and sweetner. I gave these instructions very clearly at the drive thru. First and foremost, they did NOT use soy milk. As a lactose intolerant person, this is annoying because I can no longer drink the coffee without having stomach issues or buying medication. Secondly, there was no sweetner (not as big of a deal but it was still wrong). As I was in the drive thru, I didn’t get a chance to taste the drink until I had already left the parking lot (the line was long, even for 2:30 pm and I wanted to get out of the way). By this time it’s already too late and too much of a hassle to get them to change the drink… but this mistake should never have happened in the first place! I did not wait 20 minutes in the drive thru to get a coffee I couldn’t drink!
I would not recommend this location. It’s crowded and busy. This could be contributing to the mistakes. But honestly it’s not worth it.

Why is everyone hatin? It’s Starbucks, you get just what you expect: yummy coffee drinks made to order. The drive-​thru at this location is especially slow on weekdays from 7:30−9am. However, I don’t really mind because I am too lazy to get out of the car. If you want faster service: it is better to go inside and order.
