My daughters and I stopped here on a whim. It’s more of a fast casual type place than a sit down restaurant. You order at the counter and they bring your food out to you. The food came out very fast. Some reviewers seem to expect the high end restaurant quality from fast casual. Keeping that mind, we very much enjoyed our meal. Considering it is fast casual it was very good. One of my daughters and I ordered the beef and pork combo, they were both very good but the pork was excellent. My other daughter got the chicken and they don’t cook it in the sauce. It only comes with the dry rub and it tasted so good without the sauce. The table comes with eight sauces and our favorite was the Chicago sweet bbq sauce.

My wife stopped here last night to give it a try. We LOVEDIT! We tried a sampler that had chicken, ribs and brisket with smoked baked beans. Great smoke flavor. P. S. Our server was amazing also :)

I told the waitress if i could have the fries extra crispy & she said no problem but when I took them home they were still under cooked. Pork sandwich didn’t have any bar B Q sauce on it you have to put it on yourself with just a little tiny bag they give you. Some of the the pork was burnt. For an $ 8.00 sandwich it could have been much better. Also, I don’t care for texas toast that they serve it on either. Used to the bun thing & the brownie I bought reminded me of a Little Debbie one with chopped nuts in it & I don’t care for nut. Don’t thing I’ll go back here again. I’ll have to travel back to Chicago where they have good bar b q places up there.

Glad to see one in the QC area!!! Great BBQ. Not only was the pork tender but they have the best donut holes

I had reasonable expectations for the Dickeys replacement on Utica Ridge Rd. A chain out of Indiana, a slightly less southern state as a whole than Texas, so it was anticipated the barbecue style would be different. The meat as sampled in pulled pork and beef brisket was decent and the barbecue beans were pretty good. The service was friendly and kept the location cleaner than the former Dickeys. The potato sides were extremely dry and the barbecue sauce were something awful, obviously being about half liquid smoke and half ketchup by taste. I just hoped for a little better and wish drinks would be included with meals as a minor point.

Had dinner here Friday night with the family and everything was pretty good. I have eaten in the Coralville restaurant several times and really liked it. The staff is still working out the kinks in this new location, but the food is what you go for. Yes, the music was a pita, no they don’t have table service, but the food is good.

A pretty simple BBQ place that has it’s high points. However, this location surprised me as the dine-in plates weren’t clean, the glasses were styrofoam and small, country music was the theme music piped in(hint: not all people who like BBQ like country music), and the BBQ sauce was mainly weak with the exception of the spicy which was the only decent sauce. The ribs were tasty, the BBQ beans were good, and the pork was straight ahead good and not too salty like a lot of places. The place was void of any corn on the cob though, which I was disappointed in. I’m glad BBQ is back in this location, even if it’s only satisfactory.
