Y2K charged me $ 30 for a pedicure, when they acknowledged before the service it is $ 19. I do not recommend this place for nail service.

I was kind of confused about how to even begin to review this place, seeing as it’s listed as a salon here, but it’s both. This is based on my experience at the Y2K nail spa. All the ladies here were super friendly, and the price(30 $) for a mani-pedi was lookin’ real good to my college student budget. [Normally 12 manicure and 25 pedicure] I came in around 4pm on a Saturday and it was extremely busy. I don’t really know if I would ever schedule an «appointment here» it seems like they get mostly walk in business and they didn’t turn a single person who walked in down.(At least 8 people came in as a walk in and for whatever reason they got taken care of before the person who actually made an appointment…) The services were pretty basic, it’s kind of a get what you get kind of thing. Maybe it’s because they were busy but I would have liked a little bit more attention than I got, I felt like she rushed through my mani/pedi pretty quickly. What really grossed me out is when I noticed they weren’t washing their foot baths, just refilling the water when a new client sat down. I hope this is not an everyday thing for them. I would’ve rather waited another 5 – 10 minutes for a clean bath than a tub that was just drained… Almost enough to make me not come back for a pedicure here.(I would’ve given 3 – 4 stars if this had not happened.)

This review in no way reflects the Y2K Hair and Nail Spa. I think the only great thing about this place is Robbie. Technically he isn’t even a part of the establishment because he is independently contracted. Anyway, if you’re into really cool and funky hairdos he’s the man. He’s all about crazy haircuts that you’d see in fashion magazines like Nylon. He gives great advice on how to style your hair, what products to use, etc. His prices are pretty good($ 40 a cut) for the quality of haircut that you get. My only wish is that he had more variety aside from just styling funky do’s.
