Starbucks

Nothing too convenient about this Starbucks. It’s inside the Safeway.
Probably convenient for grocery shoppers, but for the cup of morning joe, almost annoying.

Love everyone at this Starbucks. They are quick and always so so nice.

My daily morning ritual is to grab a Grande Cold Brew from Gale. She’s such a sweetheart! Only she can help me make the perfect water/​coffee ratio other baristas /​Starbucks are just not the same!
Starbucks will just be starbucks, until you find your favorite barista :).

Location inside Safeway is super convenient to my work, and they accept gift cards as well as the Starbucks app barcode to pay… but as for the coffee, it really is hit or miss depending on who’s working that day. As a Gold Starbucks Rewards Member, I tend to come in when they have bonus star opportunities or Happy Hour discounts on certain items such as frappuccinos, tea, pastries, etc. One time I ordered a nonfat chai latte and what I got was a nonfat caffe latte — espresso instead of tea! If I wanted coffee that day I would’ve asked for a dirty chai. Oh well. Another instance, I had ordered the Caramel Flan latte but didn’t get the caramel-​infused whipped cream. Recently though, tried the S’Mores Frappuccino which was pretty good, although the barista was visibly «tired» of pumping the chocolate sauce. Also, no cookie straw. It is what it is, walkable to burn off those liquid calories, and satisfies when I desperately need caffeine and don’t have the patience to go to Dutch Bros.

They have now screwed up two orders so I felt the need to poop on them in a review because this is stupid.
Yesterday, my boyfriend went to go get me a salted caramel hot chocolate, no whip cream. He was the only one there, they didn’t have to take his name… But he came home with a salted caramel mocha.
Today, thinking, maybe that guy was just having a down day, I go back to actually get a salted caramel hot chocolate and again, I’m the only one. The girl repeats my order to me, «Ok, so a Grande salted caramel hot chocolate, no whip.»
I leave with it and, Oh look, a nice pile of whip cream. C’mon guys. Both times, we were literally the ONLY person there (AND no one came after us while they were making our order).

This place deserves more than 2 points!
— They open at 6am to 8pm every day. They start EARLY for a lot of college students! You can come and get Starbucks anytime before the bus comes, since there is a bus stop right outside on Cowell Blvd.
— It locates in South Davis Safeway for students’ convenience, so you can go get groceries and caffeine in one place!
— It has everything a Starbuck would have.
— Yes, sometimes there is one person serving. That’s because the flow of customers is rarely more than 5 at the same time = meaning expect relatively quick service!
— The staff is very nice and friendly!
Unless you’re already in Safeway, decide to buy packaged Starbucks, and brew the coffee and tea by yourself, this Starbuck is SO CONVENIENT for South Davis residence.

Ugh what is up with this place? Nothing is ever consistent and the workers here are kinda grouchy… +1 for convenience, but otherwise I wouldn’t frequent this place too much.

This Starbucks is closest to my house, so it is the most convenient for me to go to. However, I don’t go here often.
Once my coffee was burnt, once my espresso drink was only lukewarm, and once they put too many pumps of syrup when I only asked for two.
Only reason that this place is getting 3 stars instead of 2, is because the guy that usually works here is really nice and cheerful.
