Kunesh Eye Center was founded in 1976 by Dr. Charles T. Kunesh, M.D.
It was the first medical practice in Dayton to build an ambulatory surgery center devoted solely to eye surgery. Since its opening in 1989, Kunesh Eye Surgery Center has performed over 33,000 eye surgeries. The center continues to grow and be innovative in the hands of Dr. Charles Kunesh’s three children, Dr. Kristine Kunesh-Part, Dr. Michael T. Kunesh and Dr. John C. Kunesh.

Business Owner
Dr. Kristine Kunesh-Part graduated from Alter High School and went on to receive her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Notre Dame. She received her medical degree from Ohio State University, graduating with honors. She was also elected to Alpha Omega Alpha, the honor society for top medical school graduates. She completed her ophthalmology residency at Ohio State University and was honored with the position of Chief Resident in her final year. She continued her academic success by scoring in the top 1% in the country on her ophthalmology board exam.
She joined her father, Dr. Charles T. Kunesh, now deceased, in practice in 1986. She is an Assistant Clinical Professor in ophthalmology at Wright State University, where she is active in teaching medical students.
