Somehow I have to feed what little hobby I have which is sewing and embroidery. Hancock helps me do that. While I never have time to search through the piles of bolts that are on sale I like glancing to see if I can find some glittery fabric to make my niece some kind of pretty dress up outfit that will make a mess in my sister’s house. :-) While the regular priced fabrics can be a pretty penny per yard you can usually find some that are 50−70% off. They also have all the extras you need too: zippers, elastic, thread, ribbon, scissors, stabilizer, wonk wonk wonk wonk wonk. They are certainly more expensive than WalMart but they have way better selection and service than that tiny little sewing center in the center of Hades where the angry Walmart employees don’t even want to turn around to answer your question. I’d say they’re even better than Hobby Lobby, not price wise, but definitely service wise. The employees here are very knowledgeable about the fabrics and sewing projects. They can answer your questions about what kind of fabric you should use, how much you’ll need, techniques, extra supplies. They are never pushy. So now that I have all kinds of fabric and supplies I need to get busy making cheesy, embroidered Christmas gifts that no one wants! TIP: If you see a lady with a buggy full of bolts and she starts talking about quilting, you better make it to the cutting table before her or else you’ll be waiting a LONG time.
