The Vein & Aesthetic Center of Boston was founded by Dr. Elizabeth Foley and Dr. Judith Hondo in 2002. The two doctors had trained and practiced together for over a decade in the field of obstetrics and gynecology. Seeing so many patients suffer from varicose veins during and after pregnancy, they turned their focus to phlebology and the ever-​evolving field of vein treatments. After extensive training, they opened The Vein & Aesthetic Center of Boston, the first vein center of its kind in the Greater Boston area.

Business Owner

Beginning in 1994, before opening the Vein and Aesthetic Center of Boston, Dr. Elizabeth A. Foley and Dr. Judith A. Hondo devoted ten years to women’s health as obstetricians and gynecologic surgeons at their OB/​GYN practice.

It was during this time that Dr. Foley and Dr. Hondo encountered countless women suffering from venous disease with few state of the art treatment options available in the Boston area. While seeking alternative treatment options for their patients, Dr. Foley and Dr. Hondo developed a keen interest in the field of phlebology.

In 2000, Dr. Foley and Dr. Hondo made a decision to redirect their medical practice and underwent extensive training in the field of phlebology and aesthetics. In 2002 Dr. Foley and Dr. Hondo founded The Vein & Aesthetic Center of Boston, where they were one of the first practices to perform the EVLT procedure in the Boston area.
