Even though they weren’t able to fix my problem they didn’t charge me anything, the secretary gave me a ride to my place when I dropped off my car and he put oil in my bearings ($ 30.00 charge for free)
Wish my problem wasn’t so complicated so I didn’t have to find another mechanic

What the other reviewers said is spot-​on. Mike is an incredibly upstanding mechanic who gave me an honest diagnosis and low-​cost fix when I thought I had ruined my car. He also capped my A/​C nozzle so it stopped leaking and it’s been working great ever since. Another mechanic wanted to vacuum and bleed test the whole system for hundreds of dollars, even though there was still pressure and it was obviously the nozzle that was the problem. It’s nice to have A/​C in Florida after sweating it out for a couple years!

I recently moved to Deerfiled Beach and my car’s brakes’ had worn out from a lot of driving. I went to Mike’s and he explained and showed me what exactly was the issue. He walked me through what needed to happen and fixed my brakes with reasonable price. He also explained that by back brakes are getting old but does not need to be replaced as of yet. I am so happy I went here! If it was any other auto repair I know they would get over dramatic and tell me to change all the brakes or I would swerve off the roads or my brakes would fail and I can hit someone. Mike was honest and that is the MOST important thing for me in a mechanic, and their prices are reasonable. I will be going here for all of my auto repairs!

This guy is great! I think its him and his wife and they keep the shop real clean… which being an mech engineer I value since it shows pride in your tools and work.
Anyways, I moved into the area about a year ago, already got jerked around by one shyster mechanic and found this guy on Unilocal.I decided to give him a shot, replaced my alternator belt and my spark plugs for very little cash. My only issue was that they took just as long to get me a quote than it did to repair my car (about 1.5 days total).
I just wanted to add for emphasis, that Mike knows what he is doing! If i had the tools and time myself I would have fixed my car, but it was simply great running into an honest mechanic who’s knowledgeable.
EDIT: Been back to him many times since. Still love the work he does.

day 32 lost in florida…
my service light came on last night. yipes! i found this guy on Unilocal.thank goodness to Unilocal!its hard to find. off of 9^th street and you can only get on 9^th from deerfield ave and its a tiny street.
i only saw mike there, no one else working on cars. he had a really friendly receptionist. she told me my light may be nothing. they did a diagnostic and didn’t find anything and cleared the signal. it only cost me 20 bucks. mike seemed to be looking out for me and i felt reassured. but he told me if it comes back on, or turns red to bring it back. may be transmission problems. gulp…
when a car gets this old, theres always more problems down the road.
the receptionist was very chatty and friendly and gave me some directions to find some food and told me to try the grouper fish.
overall a great experience and i agree with the first reviewer.
