Tas 2 Of Denton

I hate to speak ill of any business, but I don’t want any other customers to lose the money that we have to TAS. They were unable to accurately diagnose a problem we had with our Honda when we brought it in months ago because of a squealing sound. Had they done their research they would have known it was the rear differential, but their guesswork was faulty and they told us it was the power steering. When it wasn’t that it «must be the rack and pinion». Hundreds of dollars and multiple trips in and out of TAS and our rack and pinion that they installed breaks. Thankfully we purchased the warranty so we return to get it fixed. After a day’s worth of work we go to pick it up and the test drive shows it is misaligned because, alas, they need to regear the rack and pinion. I’m not a mechanic, but I have never met one that has so much trouble diagnosing and fixing a problem with a vehicle. We have reached out to the corporate offices but since this is a franchise they say their hands are tied. So, we will be back to TAS. Not because we want to, but because they still need to fix the rack and pinion that was probably never broken to begin with. Le sigh.

I’m a college student, away from family, away from knowing anyone to help me in car situations. I had a major issue with my car and when I took it here and told step by step the issues I had, they assured me that it will be taken care of. When my car was «ready» I picked it up and headed to work. On my way to work the same issues were reoccurring and I was scared as well as angry. When I called them while I was stranded on the road they told me that I needed to pay my car to get towed and take to back. I was very upset that they did not make sure that it was safe to drive and expected me to pay for towing when the car wasn’t ready to drive in the first place. I will never go to this location again and would not suggest to any college student either.

Always have amazing service here at Goodyear in Denton on loop 288, Derek (sales) and Joe Gonzales (tech) always take care of me. I recommend this place to anyone looking for honest work at a great price. They have gotten my truck back on the road many times from broken axles to basic maintenance. God Bless!

My gripe isn’t the work but the tactics. I was quoted one price for parts over the phone, but given another price once I got there. Same parts. Same shop. Tax had been included. No explanation for the different price and no honoring of the phone quote. I’m not into bait and switches… especially not one of almost 20%.

The Greatest Customer Service I Have Ever Experienced!
I was leaving Bed, Bath, and Beyond across the street when my car wouldn’t shift into drive, or anything else besides park for that matter. I was stuck in the middle of the parking lot, not having a clue what I should do.
My wife saw TAS of Denton (Good Year) across the street and said I should call. I called and spoke with a gentleman that said they can fix anything there. I was pleased to hear that due to my situation, but when I described my situation he wasn’t sure it could be fixed there. He asked around the shop anyways just in case. He returned with a co-​worker (Mark) who was going to come across the street and take a look just in case they could fix it. Longer story short, Mark came across the street and fixed the issue!
I have never received such a great service from a company that didn’t need to do such a thing for a stranger. I wasn’t a loyal customer nor have I ever even been to their location before. This experience with them has now made my wife and I, a future customer for any other issues we may have with our vehicles. I have been telling everyone I know about the experience and hope the kind gesture is returned to them ten times.
This really made my day and should be a standard for all companies out there. You guys have set the bar Very High!

I took my car to then regularly for oil changes and scheduled maintenance for years. I asked them to tell me what needed to be done and never said «no».
After 4 years of them being my only mechanic I had some engine trouble and took it to them. They gave me an estimate of $ 3,000 and said the problems were due to a «total lack of maintenance». Really?
The car wasn’t worth that much, so we got a new one, one they will never see in their shop.
Avoid these people!

Been coming here for 7 years and I’m a snob! If I feel like they’re working me over I leave a place but not here. Richard and josh have been here forever and both are true gems. Only tell me the truth and offer added services if I don’t want to do my own wipers/​filters/​etc.
I won’t take my car anywhere else in town.
They have gone out of their way more than 2x to help me out! Even stayed 30 min late so I could get my car.

I took in my car for an oil change. I have changed my own oil many times before but did not have time this oil change so I took it here. The mechanic comes back and tells me my oil plug is stripped and that a new one is $ 10. I was in a rush so I OKed it, but i know my oil plug was not stripped. Those oil plugs are like $ 3 at autozone… they kind of forced me to buy it. I will never go back!
