The Loop Apartments

I have lived here for almost 3 years and have never had any problem until recently when new management took over. We didn’t even know the apartments were under new management. The way we found out was by a letter threatening eviction for non-​payment of rent the DAY BEFORE our usual grace period ended. Never, the entire 3 years that we have been here, have we ever even been late, or been threatened with eviction. I think what was really upsetting about the whole thing was that we were still within the grace period. It was just SO WRONG… and they didn’t even apologize.
Also, since taking over, they have posted notes on our door several times saying they have to come in the apartment for various reasons-​5 times total now since they took over back in October (2 months ago). We got a note on the door today AGAIN stating they were coming in to do yet another inspection. not only that but threatened a$ 50 fine if we did not clear things out of our hall closet, so they can get into the crawl space. Of course we are happy to move things if they need to inspect under the apartment but to be threatened a $ 50 fine for not moving things is absurd. That never happened with our last manager.
I am just not happy with them, they are extremely rude. If you are thinking about moving here, I would really think twice. I also heard from another tenant that they are planning to raise the rates here and this place is not worth that, especially if you have to deal with rude and terrible management.
