Husband and I came here with nothing more than a vague idea of what Husband was looking for in terms of model of bike. The sales associate, Steven, was extremely helpful, very knowledgeable, and realistic. He worked within our price range (we were on the very low end of what that store can offer) and I never felt like he was trying to upsell us. At a couple of points, I asked, «do we really need this thing?» and he was honest and helpful in explaining the pros and cons.
I would definitely recommend this store to ANYONE looking for a bike. I’m not much of a bike enthusiast, but they really did seem to have anything that a person looking to kit themselves out would need, from the cruiser person to the century-​rider.

First time I’ve been in here — had a great experience with the service department today. They jumped up when they saw me come in carrying my wheel, and had me fixed and out very quickly. I like the attitude!

I wanted to give this shop a good review but was unable to justify any rating higher than a 2. First impression it’s a nice shop. Very big and lots of product with reasonable pricing. I came to them for a new rim and wheel. I called in advance so they held item up front for me. Took me 10 minutes of staring at 2 employees behind counter before one of them even acknowledged me and that was only because I finally spoke up and asked if they were ignoring me on purpose. Apparently their computers were more interesting than paying customers. Guy in service department was much more friendly and helpful which is why they got 2 stars instead of 1. Would go back for a cheap part if they were only ones with it in stock. Other wise I will never go back there.

Totally positive experience buying a new bike after not having ridden in more than a decade. Salesperson, Steven, was knowledgeable, listened to what was important to me, explained differences among bikes clearly, answered questions without making me feel stupid for asking them, and was helpful in every way. The focus was on answering questions, not on making sure he made a sale.

Although I’ve never purchased a bike from Bike Source, I can speak highly on behalf of Eli and the service department. I have had lots of work done to a couple of my bikes here. The service guys were efficient, professional, and kept me in the loop throughout the entire process of all my repairs. I’ve never had someone in the service department of a bike shop reach out with status updates and answer all my questions via email. When Eli did this, I was pleasantly surprised.
In addition to great communication, everything arrived ahead of schedule and was done right. The service department has definitely gone above and beyond, and has earned my stamp of approval. Thanks, guys.

This place is a total joke. Bought a brand new full suspension mountain bike from them in October then winter came, it sat for a couple months, and I decided to take it in for a full tune up in mid January and upgraded the tubes and tires. After less than 50miles of sidewalk riding there seemed to be an issue with the gears.
I took it in to get fixed and from that point forward Bikesource proved in multiple ways how completely incompetent and unskilled they are at running a business. One week in the shop before they decided what was wrong. Another week in the shop before they decided if they wanted to fix a manufacturer defect. Of course they refused to back up their own product despite the fact that a 6month old mountain bike couldn’t handle the sidewalks of Denver! One more week in the shop sitting there with no work done. And one more week until we just picked the bike up while the alleged «manager» twiddled his thumbs and rattled off several «I don’t know…» «Wish I would’ve known…» statements all deflecting blame onto some other worldly entity that wasn’t his incompetence.
Terrible customer service. Refusal to adhere to their own warranty for their products. Incompetent management. Worst business I’ve had to deal with in awhile.
In fact, after calling Corporate Specialized Customer Care in California, they even said that I should take the bike to Cycleton and have it serviced. So not even Specialized’s corporate office thinks BikeSource is worth a damn. Funny.

Steve was extremely helpful. He was extremely patient in helping make sure my bike was outfitted properly with the accessories I needed. I’ll definitely tell my friends about Bike Source.

Truth be told, I kinda liked the guys I had worked with in the past and I really wanted to give them my business, so much so that I drove to Glendale to have them look at a broken spoke. Simple enough thing to fix. Granted, it was an older shimano wheel, I get it, when I walk in to the service dept the mechanic informs me that, «with a high tension wheel like that, my labor fee is $ 55, I’ll have to see what the spoke costs.»
Fair enough, I love my bike and ride the shit out of it, I want work that is quality that I can trust. He used the phrase, «I know I sound like a used car sales man saying that.» which, I can work with, he’s trying to be honest, I appreciate that.
Now, this was Saturday, I was told I’d receive a follow up late that day or Monday at the latest, so of course, midday on Monday I have to reach out as no one has contacted me. The reply I get is, «This spoke has been discontinued, looks like it’s time to retire your wheelset. I can help you out with a new Mavic set if you;d like.» Again, the phrase, «Used car salesman» was used by the employee.
in the 20+ years I’ve been riding, not the first time I’ve heard this. It’s annoying, but it happens and I tend to ride my bikes till they fall apart. parts become obsolete, or discontinued all the time. makes life all kindsa entertaining. Having said that, the gentleman didn’t bother to mention over the phone that they could realistically replace said spoke with several other models with little difficulty. He simply went for the new wheelset, which I’m certain management urges them to do, because that’s where all of your margin is.
I get it. You don’t make money schlepping out your service guys to find random spokes, but seriously, going from what I feel was a pretty egregious upcharge for a high tension wheel, to simply saying you need a new wheel, with no option for middle ground. Poorly played. not blaming the service dept, that’s what your boss wants you to do I’m sure, but there where a helluva lot of answers in between.
side note, found a shop, fixed the wheel on the spot and only charged me $ 20 for the spoke and the service. Lesson learned, won’t be coming back. Cheers

If you want to purchase a bike from this store, do your own extensive research first, because the sales people are vastly unknowledgeable and the manager definitely will not stand behind the products. I was sold the wrong size bike, and they would not return it, only insisting that I had it improperly fitted. However the «professional fit» was done in this store and re-​assured multiple times to simply pass time until they could say «it has been to long and we cannot return this bike». I took a major financial loss here, in addition to the months of frustration and pain from riding a bicycle that is too big for me. We are supposed to enjoy the ride, but if you are sold the wrong bicycle for $ 7,500 that is simply not possible.

Bike fitting review, They recently hired a new pro bike fitter. He is ABSOLUTELY top notch! Five stars isn’t enough. He is tremendously well educated and completely thorough. He explains why he does everything he does, from placing your cleats to measuring every imaginable angle. WOW, I am more than impressed. I will rave about his fitting to anyone who will listen!!!

Best bike shop in town! I have purchased a bike from them and have had a bike built by them and am VERY pleased! Top notch staff!

These guys are so helpful. I bought my bike from another shop, but they will have my business in the future, hands down, if I decide to buy a Specialized.

They have a bicycle for everyday of the week and for every personality. Great selection of top brands and inventory of parts that continues to impress me. Demo fleet of fat tire bikes is their newest trick, and the staff knows their stuff.

I’ve been cycling for years and finding a reliable bike shop is really important. These guys are great. They know their bikes, they do great maintenance, and they are really great about not pressuring for the sale. And the shop has everything you need.

I bought a Sirrus Comp from BikeSource last year and have really enjoyed it. The sales process was a bit involved, but it’s worth it to get things right. They took the time to properly fit me to a frame size and make all the necessary adjustments so the bike fits me perfectly. At first I thought the guy was simply trying to up sell me when he moved into talking about bike computers. Later out on the road I learned the hard way, that he was correct. It’s good to know how fast you are going (especially at first) when you get a much more performance oriented bicycle. The on-​going service has been very good. Included in the price are free adjustments for the life of the cycle. BikeSource is great at tire and/​or tube replacement while you wait. The bicycles available range from fun cruisers to top of the line professional road bikes. Good deals can be found in the clearance section, and they seem to have a fair amount of kids bikes in stock. They also have a decent selection of accessories and clothing. The people here have been nothing but nice each time I’ve been in. Thanks BikeSource!

BikeSource is awesome! I am an avid indoor cyclist, and I recently purchased a used pair of cycling shoes that were perfect except for one thing — a crooked cleat with one of the bolts missing. I remembered seeing BikeSource while driving along Colorado Blvd, so I decided to give them a call. I asked how much it would be to straighten a cleat and install the missing bolt, and I was pleasantly surprised when he said «no charge, and we usually have bolts lying around anyway.» When I stopped by, I was helped right away and within five minutes both cleats had been adjusted and tightened. Needless to say, I am very impressed with BikeSource and will be going back, whether it’s for more adjustments, gear, or even one of the bikes that I was drooling over while I was in there!

BikeSource a «big box» store is not what I usually go to regarding the care and feeding of my «steed» however, I was in need of a derailleuer adjustment that couldnt wait. If you’re like me you hate hearing noises from your bike so you have to have fixed as in NOW or it’s going to be a long ride home.
So I stopped by and to my surprise a mechanic picked up my bike and took it to the stand and asked what was going on? WOW… WOW I said because I was still amazed that he picked up my bike and asked me what was going on? I’m liking this response already!
Historicaly, with big box shops you cannot go behind the «rope» because of insurance regulations, where am I? I’m not a car repair shop with huge stuff around to cause a injury, I’m at a bike shop where the only thing that could hurt you would be the air hose!
But seriously, we stood next to the bike and guess what he listened, we talked, I showed him the issue and guess what after abour 30 minutes he had my horse dialed in and runnning purrrfect. I was so excited to ride home with no noise, I told him. «I appreciated your skills and your dedication to your craft and most of all you listened to me» That is exceptional and that experience alone has me telling my buddies all about it.
So listen, bottom line check them out, they will listen and you will get the best repair ever!

I began my search for a new bike at BikeSource after researching the Specialized Vita online. I stopped by on a Saturday afternoon and began browsing around the large, multilevel store. When I didn’t find what I was looking for, I approached the counter and asked for help. The cashier was with a customer but she flagged down Shane for me and he took me down to a basement area I hadn’t even noticed.
I spoke with Shane a bit about my riding needs and my interest in the Vita. He had a me sit on a couple of bikes to determine the correct size for me. I could tell Shane was new to the store and he enlisted the help of Evan to help us find one of the few Vitas in my size currently in the store. Soon afterward, I was off on a test ride in the adorable neighborhood a block behind the store. I took my time riding up and down the street on that lovely bike and had a huge crush on it when I returned to the store.
Since this was my first stop, I still had more shopping to do and wanted to look further before I made a final decision. The Vita is a very nice bike and it was in my price range but I later found a bike at another store I liked even better. Even though I didn’t end up with a bike that day, I highly recommend BikeSource for reasonably priced bikes and excellent customer service.

Love this place! I’ve been here twice for various bike issues – flat tire that wasn’t taking any air and an alignment issue. Both times were absolutely great, quick and cheap! The employees here know their stuff and quick to help or school you and I have been in and out within 30 minutes each time.
The downside? They have everything you could ever imagine to pimp out your bike which makes me wish I could go all Supermarket Sweep through the store (90’s throwback whaaa?) from clothes to racks to tools, they got it all! Definitely stop by though because when I called about my alignment issue they were more of the see it to estimate it school of thought which is all good. One more downside-​parking is awkward here thanks to being right off Colorado and Yale with the YMCA next door. Best just to ride over if you can!

After having my bike sit locked up at a rack at my apartment building forever with a broken back brake, I finally decided I needed to take it in to get replaced so it could do less sitting in the garage collecting dust, and more riding on these nice summer days.
After moving to the University Hills area and taking it with me, I brought it into Bike Source to have it taken care of.
Based on reviews thus far, I was a little trepidatious about bringing in my old, used Schwinn cruiser bike to a store that mainly features Specialized parts and repairs. That, and I was a little worried about cost.
I brought it in Sunday afternoon and right away, there were able to figure out the problem and took it back to be repaired. About ten minutes later, it was all ready to go. The gentleman who did the repair asked me if $ 10 sounded reasonable, which I gladly agreed to.
So all in all, Bike Source is not just for buying new equipment or even a new bike-​their repair center will also take any bike and they’re efficient, nice, and fair. If I have troubles again with my bike, I’ll definitely be back.
