We had a sewer line leak and needed replacement carpet for our basement. Wendell was great, and we loved seeing and touching the available carpet in the warehouse. I also liked we were presented options for pads. If you have time to order carpeting, there are lots of options in Denver. If you don’t and need carpet put in quickly, you will be amazed at how few there are and how poor the quality is on those few options. We also appreciated that they worked with us on cost so it wasn’t crazy expensive and met our needs.
Installation was quick (the next business day after) and included furniture being moved for a minimal cost. We didn’t even know how nice our steps could look as I think they weren’t contoured prior.
The only issue we have was that the installers left quite the mess downstairs with pieces of yarn and padding throughout. Also, they left us some remaining pieces of carpet outside on our back patio without telling us – so when it started raining, those carpet pieces were trashed.

Fast professional service & unbeatable value! Wendell the owner was very knowledgeable and advised us on the type and cost of carpets that fit our needs. We needed to replace over 5000 sq ft of carpeting to rid the house of cats and dog dander (due to our allergies).
After doing some shopping around, Carpet Depot had the best value, fastest service and the lowest cost. The best part — his pricing is transparent, I know exactly what I am getting and how much I am paying for. (One competitor we went to sold the same products for a lot more, and they covered up the manufacturer’s product names and put their own on just to make straight price comparison difficult).
When the crew came to remove and install carpets, they did an excellent job cleaning the concrete underneath, and was very careful peeling back the old carpeting so that dust and dander would not fly around. I requested to vacuum myself between the tack strip and the wall as they did the removal. Even though it slowed them down, they were very accommodating and helpful to make sure I have the cleanest possible concrete to put on the new pads and carpets. In addition, they did a great job matching patterns, finishing seams and stretching the carpet.
A couple weeks later, when our painters accidentally spilled paint on the new carpeting, Wendell came out right away to cut and patch, and I can’t even see where the spill was.
10 days ago, the torrential rain flooded part of my newly carpeted basement. Wendell gave great advice to control the damage before restoration team came, and we were able to save our carpets and only discard the wet pads. Now his crew is putting in new pads for us and restretching it for a very reasonable price.
In summary, Carpet Depot provides quality & value, and is professional & trustworthy, and they always put customers first. It is the only place I will go for carpet needs!

We dropped into Carpet Depot on a Saturday morning & on Wednesday it was installed beautifully in our home for a good price. They were fast, professional, & we are completely happy with the finished product. Their vacuum cleaner wasn’t working the day they installed so they even came back the next day to vacuum up after the installation. I highly recommend using this company.

I’ve got to believe these 5 star ratings are fictitious profiles made up by Wendell. Initially I had a good experience with the guy when he SOLD me my linoleum and carpet. Fast forward, my carpenter tore the new linoleum one week later after installation. My carpenter is the best; I trust him implicitly. He was livid with how cheap and poorly installed the linoleum was and paid me to replace the flooring. I asked Wendall to come out a look at damage and suggest what could be done and I had been complaining PRIOR to the carpenter tearing it about the seam placement. Bubbles were horrible but more importantly, the seam of the linoleum, how it was laid right in front of my garage door and sliding door was already pealing up. He didn’t care, not his problem. 6 months later, linoleum pealing up by the seams; he sends someone out to glue it back down. Now I have dirt sticking the «fixes» and the linoleum is pealing from the seam throughout the entire length of my kitchen. It looks terrible. Now I have issue with the carpet, its already matted down and looks terribly worn (my «free» upgrade, BS). Wendall was ENRAGED and accused me of putting down throw rugs invalidating the warranty? He then stated it would cost me $ 450.00 just to have the «manufacturer» come out and look and who he had already «discussed» the issue (forwarded my photographs) and I invalidated the warranty because I put a throw rug down on the main traffic hallway entrance? I beg your pardon?
Just had my basement remolded. I’m with Christian W., he sounds hammered, his rage (s) are frightening– that’s not customer service, that’s bullying and harassment. I’ll just catch him on the flip side in small claims.

My interaction with Wendell was not what everyone else’s has been. I had to go back to get more carpet because he short changed me. I called him and he wanted to see measurements. When I arrived he sounded like he was completely hammered. This was the first and last time I will deal with him

This review is long overdue as I had the carpet installed in May of this year. Going with Carpet Depot is a really great experience start to finish — and probably more than you would expect for what was priced considerably lower than other options.
I connected with Wendell based on a Craigslist ad. Immediately got a hold of him and setup a time to view some carpet options. The pricing is based on a certain stock/​quality which you should go into the store to confirm is what you’re looking for. Once chosen, the install happened a couple days later, with reliable and friendly installers. Wendell sent me an easy to understand quote and invoice and followed up with me on the service.
Overall, great experience — especially for the price.

Great prices, a large selection of carpets for every budget and quick professional installation. I went in on a Monday night and my carpet was installed by Wednesday morning. They worked with my busy schedule and installation only took an hour. That included ripping out my old carpet. The best part was they were almost half the price of the big retailer I looked at the day before. I would recommend this company. Just a heads up, they are a little hard to find but definitely worth it.

I just had my carpet installed this morning and I have to tell you that Carpet Depot is terrific! Wendell, the owner/​salesman came out to measure and give an estimate. He set up the appointment to install based on my request. I admit, I changed that appointment 4 times over the next 6 weeks (we were moving and the ‘out’ date kept changing). Wendell was professional and patient with me and the installers were professional, fast and AWESOME.
I had a terrific experience dealing with Wendell and his employees. I am planning on using them again for another home we own. The price, the service, the end product have all been EXCEPTIONAL!
