Furnaces are one of those things that you always need but never want to think about. When ours decided to head to the great furnace in the sky everyone in the neighborhood said to call Quinnair. They were right. After getting quotes from several companies they were the most professional. The process was great from start to finish. They kept a clean work site and had the new furnace up in less than a day. We decided to also add in a humidifier and that has a made a world of difference in our comfort level. The only one who isn’t happy is my son who can’t shock everyone so easily now.

Review: This is an honest review and I am not receiving any benefits from this review. I contacted QuinnAir for an estimate to re-vent my newer high efficiency furnace, that a previous HVAC company installed incorrectly and refused to fix. Craig from QuinnAir came out in a reasonable time to give me an estimate. My estimate was for $ 150 per hour for two installers, and would he did not think the job would take more than 4 hours, he also stated the materials should not be more than $ 100. I scheduled an appointment for them to complete the job. They said the would be at my house at 8am, around 8:45am I called to confirm the appointment. I spoke with Katherine, who stated they tried to reach me several times to confirm my appointment, but never got a hold of me, so she canceled it. I was never contacted about keeping this appointment. I just assumed that they would be at my home on the date and time that was scheduled. She apologized sort of and said she could have two installers at my home at 11:30am. I agreed because I had already committed my day to this install. About an hour later she called and said that they would have to re-schedule for later in the week. Wasted my entire day. The day came for the install(again) and two installers showed up right on time, and got to work. The installers were great and had no issues with the quality of work they performed. The job took 4.5 hours. I received my invoice for around $ 930. I called Katherine to ask why the price was so high and she told me it was $ 600 for labor(I agree/no issues) and the remainder was material. She told me that it took 3 ten foot sticks of 3inch PVC, and a bunch of fittings. I price checked home depot, which is where they bought the material and a 10 foot stick of 3 inch PVC is $ 17.50, that equals $ 52.50. The remaining material was fittings, and a roof jack. I supplied my own concentric vent. So, the remaining $ 278 was the price of fittings and a roof jack. This amount is excessively high and I was told it is what it is. Bottom line the quality of work was great, but the ethics behind the pricing of materials was not. Expect to pay more with QuinnAir.

I was told to try out this company if I needed help. I should have had them do my furnace install but didn’t know about them until a few years ago. My furnace failed on Christmas. I didn’t call till the evening because I didn’t want to ruin someone’s Christmas so I wore my ski clothes, slept in a good sleeping bag and used a couple of good space heaters. They were out the next day and fixed it quick. I don’t think it was an easy fix but the repair person knew where to look. A pressure sensor had failed. It is all great now. It was 58 in the house yesterday and now back to 70! Also VERY fair pricing. Thanks, Quinnair.

I am very Happy with QuinnAir. I have had a few HVAC folks come and go over the years, and by far these guys are the best. I few years ago, they were quite backed up and went thru some growing pains– at the time the wait to see them was too long – but in retrospect, that is b/c they are good, and honest. MOSTRECENTLY, I had a furnace go out suddenly at my Rental property. Of course it was going to be 10 below zero that night. I frantically called Quinn air as they were closing up for the night and they arranged to have their tech talk to us over the phone to trouble shoot, which was great. Of course it was nothing easy. They were able to come out on an emergency basis at 8pm at night and get if fixed. I am very happy with their service and respect they gave me at the time. This just happened and I have yet to see the Bill, but They have been fair in the past and I am sure they will be again. I highly recommend them. I have only used them for repairs so far, not a new system. But i will update if/when i do a new install.

I live in a condo. Have been here 17 years. After our neighbor, downstairs, had their water heater break and a few other people had some problems, we decided we had better get a new water heater, just to be on the safe side. Of course we called Quinnair. Again we were very pleased with their work. I did ask them if we could get our furnace cleaned while they were here. No problem and they gave us a big discount since they would already be here:) They also give a 5 percent discount to seniors. We LOVE Quinnair!!!

In 2013, I purchased a townhome in need of total renovation. The inspector pointed out that the sump pump needed replacement and the furnace may need to be replaced in the near future. After a year of dealing with a noisy furnace that was unable to heat my townhome adequately and an inadequate central air conditioning system I decided to get estimates on replacing the furnace and sump pump, cleaning the a/c compressor, draining the hot water tank and placing a pan underneath which was also recommended by the inspector. My employer highly recommended Quinnair so they were the first company to evaluate my jobs and give an estimate. Another company would only give an estimate on the furnace and sump pump and the third company would only give an estimate on the furnace. I decided to hire Quinnair, not only were they thorough, they included several additional services with their estimate along with a much better furnace(97.3% efficient) than the other companies who offered an 80% efficient furnace. Their Better Business Bureau and Angie’s List ratings were much better than the other company’s ratings. The afternoon before the furnace was scheduled to be installed, I had set my central air conditioner at 77 degrees and at that time the interior temperature was 78. I left for a few hours and when I returned the interior temperature had increased to 81. I had hoped that a thorough cleaning would solve this issue but when the representative arrived the following day, he examined it and found that the compressor was fried and it was inadequate for the size of my home. I had to make a decision quickly and if it wasn’t for the representative’s knowledge of current financing offers, I couldn’t have afforded it. With that said, Quinnair came in under the third company I interviewed who was only going to replace the furnace with an 80% unit. The installers were professional and stayed until 8PM on the second day in order to finish the air conditioner installation and 7PM to finish the jobs on the third day. All the jobs were completed in a timely manner and I can sense a huge improvement. I am very pleased with this company and their dedication to their customers and the local community. I intend to hire Quinnair when I need to replace my water heater.
