History

Established in 2008.

I was a newlywed, full-​time college student barely making ends meet who couldn’t get time off to visit my family for christmas. So, I promptly quit my job saying to myself «Whats the worst that could happen? If this carpet cleaning thing doesn’t work out I can always get another job.»

I used $ 750 from a student loan to buy a portable carpet cleaning machine. I made a clip art ad and distributed it in my surrounding neighborhoods. I advertised for free on Craigslist, and the families that my wife and I nannied for sent out email blasts recommending us to their friends and family.

We have since evolved into Denver’s elite, plant-​based, certified carpet and air duct cleaner. Business is thriving due to a tremendous amount of repeat and referral business.

There is limited space on Yelp and much more to the story: ups and downs, laughter and tears, fear and excitement, and babies…3 babies.

I am a stay at home father of my three young children. I travel frequently with my family and manage Jake’s from wherever I happen to be at the time.

I enjoy mountain biking, hiking, snow boarding, atv riding, camping, fishing and hunting.

When I’m not outdoors I enjoy reading, binge watching Netflix, playing video games and cooking.

My favorite restaurant is Phở 95 and my drink is a gin and tonic.

I am passionately committed to my family and to raising the most incredible little humans on the planet. I love love love getting to live life through the eyes and at the pace of my children. Everything is a balance beam, everything is meant to be climbed, conquered and jumped off of. Everything is new and exciting and being with them keeps me present to the things that matter most.

I’m married to a courageous, powerful and beautiful woman and together we create and live the life of our dreams.

Top quality from the estimate to the cleaning. We had them clean our ducts, carpet and (filthy) stone flooring of the house we are about to move into. They emailed an estimate, followed up with an email confirming our appointment, called when they were 30 minutes out, and arrived within the 2 hour window they had given for arrival. Would refer them to anyone and will be using them again as needed. They provide the customer service that every business should!

Great service. I work at a chiropractic office and our carpets see high traffic volume and the carpets look brand new. Wish i had before pictures! They are friendly and were on time. They have that family business feel which we love being a small business as well. We will be recommending them to all of our patients.

Jake’s carpet cleaning did a great job on our carpet. They didn’t even bat an eye at all the stuff we had piled in corners (our had basement flooded) and helped us move some of the bigger stuff. They were on time, professional, and kindly moved our appointment several times due to unforeseen circumstances (street paving, death in the family etc). Our carpet looked wonderful afterwards, they even got out a stain they weren’t sure would be completely removed. I am hiring them now to do our air ducts. Very impressed with the company!

We are so happy we found Jake’s Carpet Cleaning. It was exactly the type of company we were looking to work with and they far exceeded our expectations. We’ve recently had to experience some «interesting» people working on our house due to a failing furnace and a sewer backup in our basement. So we cringed at the thought of having more people in the house to clean the carpets. HOWEVER, we were pleasantly surprised when Josh showed up to take care of the carpet cleaning and how friendly and accommodating he was. He was in and out in a reasonable amount of time and made sure to wear booties in our house when he came back in to pack everything up. Their prices are a little on the higher end, but it’s worth it to deal with someone who is respectful, trustworthy and knows what they’re doing — not to mention knowing that they don’t use toxic chemicals which was one of our main criteria.

We had Jake’s Carpet Cleaning clean our carpets after a year in our new (to us) home, and were stunned once they dried to find out that we had soft carpet! Who knew? It feels, smells, and looks great post-​cleaning, and we love that everything used was plant-​based and non-​toxic. We were so pleased with their work that we had them come back two months later and fully clean our air ducts, which I don’t believe had been done before on the house. From the start of my interaction with Jake’s they were friendly and professional. Kristen promptly returned my call and explained my sofa & loveseat cleaning options. Josh & Roger called 30 min in advance of my appointment as promised to let me know they were on their way. When they arrived, they quickly set to work and did an amazing job cleaning my sofa and loveseat. We have 2 large dogs and 3 cats, so the furniture was in pretty bad shape. After their thorough work, the sofa and loveseat look practically new! I’ve been telling all my friends and colleagues about Jake’s. Everyone was incredibly pleasant and I was impressed by the follow up after to make sure I was happy with their work.

What a professional company. They are very upfront with pricing and it is extremely affordable. They came right on time and were respectful of keeping the house clean etc. We had some pet stains to get out and they did an amazing job. You wouldn’t know there was a pet living here! It smells so clean, not a chemical clean of course, just a pure clean. I am so glad my kids and pets arent around those harsh chemicals. I will definitely use them again!

My entire experience with Jake’s was 5 star! I called on Monday morning & spoke to Hilary, who was energetic & friendly. She said she could send a crew out to my house the following day (Tuesday) between 11am — 1pm. After I hung up with Hilary, I received an email confirmation with all the details of my upcoming appointment. The following day, Josh called me at 10:30am & said he would arrive by 11am… And they did! I opened the door to Jared & Josh who greeted me with big, warm smiles & a hand shake. They were very sweet to my dog & son, so I instantly felt comfortable with them in my home. They were very detailed & explained everything to me. They got right down to work & were finished in less than an hour. There was NO smell after they left… I trust that they don’t use harsh chemicals as they claim. I was able to pay on the spot & shortly received an email with a receipt. I am beyond impressed with Jake’s. It’s that sincere, personal connection that makes all the difference & everyone at Jake’s seems to understand that. Great job team! I will never use another carpet cleaning company, only Jake’s!

We just purchased a home and used Jake’s for both duct cleaning and to mitigate water damage from the previous homeowner’s neglect.
For both services, I thought the company did a great job. They were responsive and courteous. With the water damage — they had to rip up the kitchen floor, mitigate mold, and dry the place out. They came in under the estimate and were always here on time to do the work and check on the equipment. The documentation on their work was excellent (google files).
For the duct cleaning — since this is our first home I can’t compare them to anyone else, but I thought Jared did a great job: he came on time, was very thorough, took the time to explain everything to me, took pics of the before & after (basically it looks like no one had cleaned out the ducts in this house for years… and they had dogs). At first I thought the estimate was on the pricey side given that you see coupons for other companies for less, but Jared was in our home for 4 hours and really took the time to do everything well. And they spray an anti-​microbial through the ducts after they’re clean which I really like as this house previously had mold issues.
So, you get what you pay for with these guys. I recommended them to relatives already.

We had a giant basement flood — and we called Jacob (found him here through Unilocal) and he was at our house within a couple hours. Gave us a very fair estimate and was to work restoring our carpet that afternoon! He managed to save our carpet and pad underneath when we thought we’d have to pay for everything brand new. He removed 60+ gallons of water from our carpet and had all the right tools to do the job right. If we ever have a flood in our basement again (hopefully not) — Jake’s will be the one we call to have it taken care of. Very cool dude as well.
